Welcome to the birdie fest also known as TPC Boston! The TOUR heads up to Massachusetts for the FedEx Cup Playoff event #2! Nice little Par 71 track measuring over 7,200 yards. Last year saw a tournament record scoring average of 69.20. Expect more of the same this week. The remaining players are all so good as far as hitting fairway & greens, so I believe the flat stick will be the deciding factor.
Defending Champ is Henrik Stenson
The FedEx Cup Playoffs are here! First up, The Barclays!! Event number one of four is being held in Paramus, NJ at the vintage Ridgewood Country Club. Founded in 1890, the 7,300 yard Par 71 track is one of the oldest country clubs in America. Par 4 performance is a strong stat this week. Putting and scrambling will be the number one factor. Who's short game will prevail?
Defending Champ is Adam Scott
The FedEx Cup regular season tournament is here with the Wyndham Championship! Sedgefield CC is a Par 70 track that's short by PGA standards at around 7,100 yds. Accuracy off the tee is always good but this week distance is the name of the game. Need to have a good iron game and get it close which is a challenge on most Donald Ross designs. Last week to quailify for the playoffs, so look for some guys to make a move.
Defending Champ is Patrick Reed
The final Major of the year is here!! The 2014 PGA Championship will be held at Valhalla GC in Louisville, KY. A beautiful Nicklaus design measuring over 7,400 yards. The Par 71 track has the typical Nicklaus footprint. Not to demanding off the tee but the second shot is what will separate the men from the boys. Got to get it close and in the right quadrant to score. GIR and putting machines should do well this week.
Defending Champ is Jason Dufner
The ball he threw into the crowd is up for sale!!
