Debated on posting this week as for I'm on a terrible run. Going to change it up a bit and layoff the early round matchups and concentrate on tourny plays. So fade away!!!
Harbour Town is a shot makers course. Placement is the key. Hitting the small greens in regulation is not a easy task either. Par breakers is a nice stat to look at for this track as well.
After the worst week in my sorry azz golf gambling "career"...I look forward to the Masters. My favorite of all the Majors and historically (fingers crossed) I do well this week.
Not much to research as I'm looking for a vet to do well this week. I do not think a first timer will win. Although we might have a first timer in the mix on Sunday, I don't see him finishing it off. Too many nerves on a Sunday back 9 at Augusta to overcome.
I like Dustin for sure. Don't let the WD from last week fool you. He's 2nd in distance, 3rd in GIR's, 19th SGP, 5th in scoring average, 1st in the all around and a stat which I think is important this week is Par 4 Performance....which he sits a nice 6th. He has the distance, the touch and a nice high ball flight which is a plus.
Also like Scott, Rose, Day, Sergio and always a Sunday fixture...Cabrera!!
On to Houston for the Masters tune up at the beautiful Golf Club of Houston hosting the Shell Houston Open! Tough track with undulating greens and collection areas all around them. They are tough to hit from the rough so scrambling is a must. Must have good touch on and around the greens as well. This course is a close to Masters conditions as you can get.
Off to my home state for the Valero Texas Open. Tough track where putting and par 5 performance is a must. Although it has four Par 5's, they are among the hardest to hit in two. Ball strikers should have a better chance than the bomb/wedge guys.
