...since they are both favored.
Let me be the first to call it "David vs Goliath" (David always wins because he doesn't play on Goliath's terms), and comparisons to "Hoosiers" (who also triumph because they play together--also called "old school")
I believe Vegas is right, and I 'll take the puny lines. Duke covers the 3 pt shot better than anyone (who's left) and WVU needed the 3 pt shot vs Kentucky. Don't think WVU pt gd will find Duke on their heels to pierce thru the zone for uncontested layups.
Butler will take control of Mich St methodically, and will not relinquish.
Mid-major vs Big Money--Butler will help expand the Tournament with a win, and finally put an end to "Big Conference politics" by selection committees.
Dating to the 2000 season, the Packers have posted an 18-4 record at Lambeau in December and January regular-season games. That’s the fourth-best home record in the NFL, trailing only New England (18-3), Denver (16-3) and Pittsburgh (19-4). LEAN GB -3
TOTAL:
Green Bay's defense allows only 280 yards per game--2nd best in the NFL (NYJ are 1st)
Baltimore's defense leads the league in points allowed---only 17 per game!!
So one thinks naturally a low scoring game. Wait a second, always watch for traps!
TOTAL stands at 42.5
WHY DO SNOW GAMES TYPICALLY GO OVER THE TOTAL???
Poor tackling. Missed assignments.
Balt has a quick elusive RB, and Balt is used to playing in the cold weather frequently.
GB has been able to protect the passer much better last 3 games (only 2 sacks).
MNF games tend to go over the totals that are set, and FAVS can also go on a wickedly easy streak of winning.
42 is "suspiciously high" (why not 37-39??)
PLAY OVER 42
