2014-2015 NBA Season: [8-2]
5-2 yesterday, starting to be more selective now.. I'll keep it short and simple.
CLE - 13 / 13.5 / 14
You can put this line up to CLE -18, and I'd probably still take it.. Yes, everyone and their moms are on Cleveland tonight, but I just don't see how they don't cover. The Knicks were blown out by over 20 points in their home opener last night, and they look ridiculously out of sync. Not only does nobody understand how to play in the "PHISH" triangle offense, there's nobody to facilitate the ball. Jose Calderon is out at least another two weeks, and until that time, Carmelo cannot keep up with teams scoring by himself. Individually, the Knicks have some talent in guys like Shumpert or Hardaway Jr., but good luck having Dalembert trying to stop the King.. What a drop-off from Tyson Chandler..
LAC -12 / 12.5 / 13
Once again, I'd take this line if it were LAC -18. I see the Clippers destroying the KD-less Thunder, by somewhere between 27 and 35 points. Yes, the Thunder did hang around with the Blazers for 3 quarters last game, and Westbrook was impressive.. but as I stated yesterday, without Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson (on top of the obvious KD), the Thunder stand no chance against the depth of the Clippers. Look for Spencer Hawes to showcase the range that he was brought in for, and look for a huge blowout win tonight. LOB CITY!
2014-2015 NBA ATS Record: [3-0]
Posting this strictly to start documenting my plays...
No LBJ, don't matter! Washington is without Beal, Nene, and Gortat tonight... I'm looking for Luol Deng to terrorize Otto Porter Jr. tonight, as well as Bosh destroying Kevin Seraphin..
So what I saw from last night was that Houston actually upgraded at the SF position by losing Chandler Parsons via free agency. This spells all kinds of trouble for the Western Conference, especially when Ariza is a better defender that can guard the wing.. Sorry Hayward, maybe you'll find your shot next game..
Welcome to the Grindhouse! A season removed from a potential upset against the Thunder in the playoffs, the Grizzlies are healthy, and look set to capture a top 5 playoff seed in the West this year.. Facing a newly constructed team centered around rookie Andrew Wiggins, Zach Randolph and Co. will have a field day against the rookie in his debut...
No write-up... Puhahahaha Los Angeles Lakers...
Same team from last year in terms of the starting unit, but major upgrades on a bench that lacked depth. Enter Stan Van Gundy, one of the most underrated coaches in the NBA today. This will not be the same Pistons from last year in their playing style by any means.. Look for the Pistons to dominate the paint in a close one vs. Mozgov and the rest of his Mile High City teammates..
5-2-1 on Covers for preseason NBA. Here are my plays for today.
Went 3-2 last night in "posted plays", thinking the public would make some money at least in the preseason by taking the Knicks. Playing these games today for a little less money, as I'm focusing on MLB and NFL tonight.
I don't know what sparked me to write on the Covers forums again after a long hiatus, but cashed in nicely last night on Cardinals -1 -112. I guess I'm 1-0 on Covers! Here are my plays for today.
Oakland A's -1 +161
DET/OAK OVER 6 -123
