I am 0-1 on the year on NFL games since I am new here, however my loss was on Miami on Monday night. I could have called a better game plan than the Dolphins coaching staff. Did they forget that they can run the ball quite a bit more with a lousy QB???
On to this game, Ryan Pickett doesn't play Sunday, the Packers will be in a much better position to try to contain dynamic running back Adrian Peterson than they were the first time they played the Minnesota Vikings this season (courtesy of CBS)
The Packers have scored over 200 points this season... On the flip side the Vikings have given up close to 200. This line is a disaster and Vegas missed this game big...
The Vikings do have some potential to turn this team around, but it won't happen until next week, when the Vikings start with a new head coach... How Brad Childress still has a job is unbelievable... Percy Harvin hasn't been practicing much, so again he and Favre will be out of Rythym from time to time.
This will be the Game that gets Brad Childress fired.
TAKE THE PACKERS -3 (for the game) AND -2 1/2 for the first half. I expect the Pack to be up 21-10 at the half. Favre throws 3 picks today, and the Packers are in great field position for the majority of the game.
I love the Miami in this game. They are 5-4, but their 4 losses this year were all respectable losses. The Jets, New England, Pittsburgh and Baltimore. All 4 of those teams are almost certainly gonna make the playoffs. The only reason most people won't like this play is because of Tyler Thigpen coming in at quarterback. I'm not soo sure that this is a downgrade from Chad Henne who has 9 td's to his 11 int's this year. In his career Henne has 21 td's and 25 Int's... Nothing spectacular here. And I am a fan of Davonne Bess, and Brandon Marshall getting open down field against the Bears suspect defense.
The Bears do have the second ranked rushing defense, but who have they played other than Minnesota (who can not throw the ball into the ocean this season) that a decent defense can't stop? Detroit, Dallas, GreenBay, NYGiants, Seattle, Washington and Buffalo.... All struggling teams. Miami should win this game easily. I know I am a rookie on this site, but I think this will be an easy win for Miami.
My Picks
Miami -2.5
TEASE Miami +5.5 over 33
Anyone else like the BYU -7.5?
