Texas/Toronto Over 10 for Units -
The combined ERA of the starters is 14.90. Both teams already crush lefties. The Ump's 2-1 O/U so far this year and Toronto is 8-3 Over their last 11. Nuff Said, actually with all the evidence, this will probably go under!
Dodgers/Houston Under 9 for Units - Under is 10-2 in Oswalts last 12 starts overall, Under is 4-1 in Wolfs last 5 road starts, tonights umpire is 1-2 O/U on the year. The O/U record for Hoston on the year is 3-10-1. Another one with everything going for it, and probably will go over! LOL
LA Angels -102 for Units - Joe Saunders is easily the better pitcher in this matchup tonight, and considering the way Verlander has been pitching, that's enough for me. Take the quick home money here.
YTD RESULTS
Sides 1-2 -4.07 Units
Totals 2-0 +2.72 Units
Overall 3-2 -1.35 Units
Atlanta Braves -124 -
Units -
Shairon Martis only managed to go
3 innings while giving up 3 ER in his last start vs the Braves while giving up 5 hits in that time. Kawakami meanwhile managed 6 solid innings while giving up only 4 hits and 3 ER last time he faced Nats. Seriously, does anyone think they can win 2 games in a row??? I don't think so. Go with the Visitors in this one.
New York Yankees -197 -
Units - The A's are only hitting .
202 in their last 10 games vs Lefties and an even worse
.185 on the road vs the southpaws while the yanks have been clobering the left handers batting .317 in their last 10 and .324 at home vs the southpaws. This was my
LOCK pick from yesterday and I'm sticking with it today!
I really do LOVE this card today.
Florida Marlins - 127 -
Units -
The Bucs have lost the last 8 (that's right, I said 8!) times Karstens has taken the bump and I see no reason that will change today. Sanchez is the better pitcher (he's given up a grand total of
2 ER in 11 innings this year while sporting a
1.64 ERA), the Marlins have the better bats, they should win by 4 or 5 runs today.
LA Dodgers -162 - Units Clayton Kershaw looks like the real deal for the Dodgers. The kid has given up only 3 hits in 12 innings while striking out 19 this year. DId I mention the kid's ERA is 1.50?? Hard for me to back the Astros in this one. The only way for Houston to keep it close is for Ortiz to shut them down, but I don't see the man DRAGGING around his 6.83 ERA doing that to the potent LA lineup. LA looks like another easy winner.
Detroit Tigers +101 -
Units - Galarraga is a beast on the mound. He is sporting a 4:1 Strikeout to walk ratio while giving up a total of 1 ER in 13+ innings this year. That comes up to a
0.68 ERA! The same can't be said of Jared Weaver with LAA he got knocked around in his last outing in SEA giving up twice as many hits (10) as innings pitched (5) and striking out mearly 2 while walking a pair and giving up a pair of dingers. Tigers in a sleeper should be over early.
Let me know what you all think and if you agree/disagree, please post and let me know why. Maybe you have that "Inside Info" I've been looking for.
Just Joined up and this is my first time posting on here, but I think I have some good insights and at least these posts will serve as proof to track my progress, either good or bad. Let me know what you all think.
Boston -214 2 Units -
Masterson is the better starter here. Could possibly hold the O's hitless for 3 or 4 innings. Hopefully the BoSox offense can get off to a hot start and end this one early.
Yanks -172 3 Units - this one should be over early with
Pettite possibly shutting Oakland down. They are extremely poor vs LHP while the Yanks knock Lefties around the yard a lot
ATL/WAS Under 8.5 - 2 Units - With
Lowe looking to get back into form after a less than stellar outing and Washington bring up their best young Arm (look at this guys #'s very good control and a new pitcher to look at??) Look for this game to end up 3-1 somehow.
San Diego +141 1 Unit - The fathers are a much more solid team than they get credit for and Moyer is old enough to be the father to some of the San Diego players! How much longer does he think he can pitch. Today should be a lesson to the sooner rather than later.
Houston -125 2 Units -
Arroyo sucks! Don't let the record thus far fool you and the Reds can't hit the LHP either so
Hampton should have a good 6-7 innings in this one to down the Big Red Machine.
Colorado +110 3 unitsCOLO/ARIZ = Under 10.5 1 Unit -
Marquis is back on one of his rolls. Good work and not much to worry about in Ariz I don't think. Also should be a very offenseless game so not many runs in this one either. Look for Colorado to pull it out 4-1.
FLA/PIT - This is the only game today I cannot lean one way or the other on. FLA is on a roll, but I'm not sure I would risk money with
Andrew Miller and PIT isn't as bad as they have been in years past. This could go either way, low or high, FLA or PIT so I'm staying away.
GOOD LUCK ALL!
