I pre-ordered around May 14, 2013 on the respective websites. I received Athlon by May 17, 2013 and I received Lindy's on May 19, 2013. I have also pre-ordered Phil Steele, but according to the website, it will not ship till June 18, 2013. But, I bet if you pre-order, you will get PS before then. If you order on their websites, I bet you will get Lindy's and Athlon in days...for those that want to wait, I believe Athlon will be on the newsstands on May 28, 2013...
I am already "pre-capping" the first five weeks. Athlon and Lindy's are ok, but P Steele is what I want to review. Other than Phil's obvious bias supporting Oklahoma, he has some good info.
But, as any descent capper knows who puts in the effort, you have to take that information and any other available information in context to support your selections. I don't rely on any one mag, and any one capper and I don't purchase selections, but that's a scam. There are 30+ of us on covers.com that would blow away the “pay for picks” frauds who sell garbage to the degenerate and naïve morons looking for action. The only way to make money in this hobby is to be smart, do your research, and pray for a little luck…
Can anyone recommend other mags? I know blue book and gold sheet? Please post any others that you value. Thanks in advance!
How many days until kick-off???
Its senior night in South Bend and Manhatten...Akron starts a new streak with eyes on a potential at large NCAA bid...All three are at home...The first two are gunning for the best NCAA seed possible...St John's is motivated for a potential NCAA bid, but without their high scorer D'Angelo Harrison #11; however, N Dame lost Scott Martin for the season to offset the gain...I think N Dame will TCB Tuesday night...Kansas State saw KU demolish Texas Tech by 37 on their Senior night. Texas Tech soundly defeated TCU at home this past Saturday 72-63...KSU is no KU, but I have to believe Kansas State was watching their instate rivals on Monday...TCU's O is bad, but their D slows things down...I think KSU is looking for some BPI and RPI and maybe a borderline 4th seed...
Notre Dame -8.5 (Home Team) over St. Johns
Kansas State -21.5 (Home Team) over TCU
Akron -16 (Home Team) over Miami of Ohio

Let me know what you think...
Ole Miss -12.5 over Mississippi St.
Rivalry Game - one motivated by the Big Dance, the other waiting mercifully for the season to end
Louisiana Tech -18.5 over San Jose St.
La Tech staunch D, low BPI motivated to get noticed; SJ lost best player earlier this month
Indiana -14.5 over Iowa
Crean has questioned his teams manhood after poor physical effort in loss to Minn; motivated by wanting to host Indi Regional; Iowa will play tough for a half; Reckless abandon by the Hoosiers...Iowa is without starting PG
Georgetown -14 over Rutgers
"Hottest Team in College Basketball" moniker could be kiss of death ATS. GT is great at home; Rutgers lost one of its best players in Feb; GT covered at Rutgers in Feb;
At this time of year, the Big Dogs are working the seed angle; I think in front of ithe home fans La Tech, Indiana, and Georgetown will keep scoring; all three have great Defenses, are well coached, and D faciliates the O. I think Ole Miss v Miss St is a complete missmatch; sure Miss St. will play hard for a half, but Ole Miss will step up and keep pounding a bad team in Miss St. Like I said, Ole Miss is motivated to pound its rival to impress the NCAA selection committee.
This is my first NCAAM post...I know a lot of you plays dogs out there...I like the big favorites at this time of year....
What do you guys think?

losing at home as a 24 pt favorite to a below average SBC Team in Middle Tennessee...with 5 minutes left in the 4th MTSU 42 GT 28...
I had no faith in GT cover 24, so I took the ML and still lost..
note to self - never ever, by any circumstance, ever place a wager on Ga Tech again...
If P Johnson was not already on the hot seat, he should be now...
