It's no shocker to those who watched their inaugural season: Tulsa is one hot mess.
And it starts at the top. The management has made mind boggling personnel moves, calculated to stimulate ticket sales at the expense of two precious roster spots. They've squandered those spots on players (Swoopes and Jones) that may draw but couldn't crack another roster in the league. This exemplifies the worst kind of management style: cold and calculated but ultimately irrational.
After all, fans like winning even more than celebrity.
Getting to their on court flaws: they don't protect the rock (see turnovers), they don't drive to the basket (see lack of free throw attempts), and they are porous defensively (see FG% against).
After three games, it's hard to imagine them winning (covering is another story). Which brings us to the question: If a game's outcome is known beforehand, how do you generate interest in it (among the non-betting public)? If they remain such a doormat, a dispersal draft is looming.
