The SuperBowl is finally upon us and we have the San Francisco 49ers going against the Baltimore Ravens. One thing everyone seems to agree on is that this will be a defensive battle as we do have 2 of the better defensive units in the league going against each other.
If the 49ers want to win this game they cannot let this turn into the afore mentioned defensive struggle as the Ravens thrive in such games as their big play quarterback( Flacco ) is also suited to such a game plan as the pressure then is off him and he would need just one or two big plays to win the game for his team which he is capable of.
Kaepernick has great speed and one of the strongest arms in the league and has proven to be gold during crunch time. These teams are very evenly matched in most aspects.
The motivation is always great on both sides when playing in the biggest football event of the year. I feel the Ravens have a slight edge here as they have been in the hunt for a championship since 2002 and this will be their last realistic shot at it for sometime to come as we all know how the ravens played when they were without the service lewis, reed etc.Ray Lewis is one of the greatest motivators of all time and he will have his team ready.
My pick is RAVENS +3 . I am more than ready to take points on a team that beat Peyton Manning and the Denver defense in Denver and Tom Brady and the Patriots in Foxborough.
Seattle Seahawks @Atlanta Falcons
The Seattle Seahawks have had a great run.Their defense has held up well and I think Russell Wilson is the rookie of the year in my opinion. They beat a lot of good teams to make it to the divisional stage of the playoffs and they were my BIGGEST BET last week. Today they face a Falcons team which has been under valued at times and overvalued at times and maybe have been a little inconsistent in their performances by playing to the level of their competition.
A lot has been talked about the Seahawks being in the divisional round of the playoffs due to the injured RG3 starting for the redskins and I do agree a TD in the 2nd quarter by the redskins would have put them away or made it very difficult for them.
The seahawks are a simply a bad road team and this week they face a team which is exceptionally good at home and they had no losses at the dome apart from the meaningless loss to the bucaneers the week before postseason.
I'm a firm believer that the level of play of a good defensive goes down a notch when they are playing away from home and their surroundings. This Seattle defense on the road faces a Falcons team which has way too many weapons on offense.Russell Wilson will have a big play or two to keep them close but I see this Atlanta team dominating them from the start and the injury to Clemons will further weaken their pass rush.
Very simply I don't see Atlanta loosing tomorrow when they have had so much time preparing for this game and hearing everyone talking about Matt Ryan never winning a playoff game. Nothing like added motivation and he will play with a chip on his shoulder.
Atlanta -2 is a GIFT. I would grab it and go LARGE on it.
Texans @ Patriots
Texans played the Patriots a few weeks ago and got blown away to oblivion.Texans notoriously play bad against good passing offenses. Matt Shcaub rolls into the fetal position at the very sight of a pass rush. Texans only have one legit wide receiving threat in Andre Johnson.
All of the above is true BUT everything mentioned above becomes irrelevant the moment the Texans are playing with a lead. Their offense becomes more fluid, defense starts playing better and they play their A game on both ends of the ball.
The Texans were a 3-5 point dog when both teams met earlier and now they are laying +9.5??? Has the team changed so much in a months period? Yes they were in a slump but this is the playoffs people and the texans will bring their A game and biggest thing for me is that the surprise factor is gone. These teams played a few weeks ago, texans got blown out and they know exactly what to prepare for and I really feel Wade Phillips and his defense will be better prepared for Tom Brady and the offense this time around. This will be a much closer game and the texans should keep this within 10 and if they get to a good start, they can also win this one.
Texans +10( buying hook )
BOL everyone!
Hi guys. I got hooked to playing NBA 2h bets thanks mainly in large to excellent cappers like phodacbiet, umahia, redzone, rkapper etc. I've been capping a few 2h totals and sides myself for the past week and I must say I'm hitting 60-70% of them.I thought I would share my picks tonight and give everyone on the forum my take on the 2nd halves.Hope everyone makes a lot of $$$ tonight.See you at Halftime.
Blazers 10-4, 7-0 at home...mavericks 2-11. doesn't make sense...any reasoning?
Alright guys this is a tough game to cap. We have on one side the packers who have Aaron Rodgers playing like he did last year and on the other side the San Francisco Defense. I think even comparing the qb position with Rodgers and Kaepernick is grave injustice to the man. Packers have Clay Mathews and Woodson back but lets face it the Packers are at best an adequate defense. The 49ers defense is elite against the run so Ryan Grant and the rushing will be kept to a minimum because as even the packers know if they have to beat the 49ers they will have to passing the football and playing to their strengths. The 49ers on the other hand will run the ball plenty because the last thing they would want to do is get into a shootout with maybe the best wide receiving core in the NFL.The packers rush defense is adequate and the 49ers pass defense is aqequate as well. These teams matchup well with eachother.
Now for the 49ers to win this game Kaepernick will eventually have to air the ball because the niners will not be able to win this game running the ball and maintaining possession because the hardest thing about playing good passing offenses is that they are always 2 or 3 plays away from a TD.
The advantage for the niners is that they are playing at home and they are very very good at home thats why they are laying -3 chalk.
I think this will be a very close game and in which the turnover margin will decide the winner. I would lay my money on Kaepernick turning the ball more than Rodgers and getting +3 is a bonus!
Opinions and thoughts are welcome. Lets dice and slice this game and pick ourselves out a winner.
