... without a doubt in my mind, 'Bama is STILL the best team in college football, and by a fairly large margin. Consider the couple of weeks this team has had; how many big games have they played in a row w/EVERYONE gunning for them. They ran into a buzzsaw today, but Bama would beath SC on a neutral field 9 out of 10 times. Mark my words, if 'Bama goes undeafeated the rest of the year and makes the title game, they will win it all again. This team is LOADED and just needs to shore up it's D.
Can't wait for the lines to come out to take 'Bama minus whatever next week.
I've heard many people mention this, and it's crossed my mind in this series and many times in the past, but wonder if it really occurs. I completely get how teams would want to win a title on their home-court but, in reality, does this really come in to play w/pro teams? Would a team really fail to give 100% just so that they can try and wrap thing up at home? I know teams aren't going to go out and lose on purpose so that they can return home, but I wonder how much of an effect this really has on teams.
