OHLENDORF VS DETWILER
Ohlendorf has had a pretty decent season thus far. First look would be to take the Pirates. Detwiler is a lefty and the Pirates do not hit lefties well. You will never see me play the Nationals or any National under for the game with that horrible bullpin. My play
here:
PIRATES/NATIONALS UNDER 5.5 FIRST 5 INNINGS
LACKEY VS WASHBURN
Hard to bet on a guy who hasn't pitched yet this year isnt it? Lackey is a great pitcher vs a Seattle team who's offense is far from impressing me. I think I will take my chances that he will at the very least pitch "ok" here. Washburn has struggled recently but durring the season has only given up 5 runs in 20 innings at home. Not interested in getting to the bullpin in this one. My play:
ANGELS/MARINERS UNDER 4.5 1ST 5 INNINGS
HAREN @ NOLASCO
Two offenses that rank 28th and last in BA this year. Arizona's offense is just plain pathetic! The Marlins lead the league in Strikeouts and with the power pitcher Haren going, I love the matchup! Nolasco has no doubt struggled this year but just dominates Dimondback hitting. Arizona is batting just 154 against Nolasco. All this combined with two good bullpins my play:
ARIZONA/FLORDIA UNDER 8
JIMENEZ VS DUKE
I use to be a huge Duke hater! He's been horrible in the past but seems to finally have his stuff together. Jimenez started off the season realy bad but has gotten better in each of his starts as his walks have decreased as well. Looking at just these facts you would say the under for sure! Then i looked at the past pitcher performance vs these 2 teams. Jimenez hasn't faced Pirate hitters enough to give me a read. Duke on the other hand, his butt is sore from the 2 feet that the Rockies have put in him. Pitt's bullpin is also struggling. The only thing that scares me away from the Rockies here is Duke's change to success this year. You just never know if he has realy figured it out. The one play that I do see here that fits is:
PIRATES TEAM TOTAL UNDER 4
WEAVER VS FELDMAN
The road team has had recent success in this series until this weekend. Both pitchers off to good starts this year. Weaver by far has had the better competition. Texas hitters are batting 274 vs Weaver and Angels hitters are over 300 vs Feldman. Thats not good enough to make this a play until you look at Weaver's success vs Texas's top hitters. Im looking for the boys from Cali to avoid the sweep. I refuse to let this one get to the Angels bullpin so my play:
LAA 1ST 5 INNINGS
