Croatia to win Euro 2016

Croatia to win Euro 2016

If they can just manage to over come the goofy extra curricular activity in the stands when they [play] we could see something special happen here in the Euro 2016.

I have great respect for teams that come from areas who've been fighting ever since time began.(ie. the Balkans) When you've been in war and constant political animosity since the 1500's like the region where Croatia spring from you just know that whomever they send will be packing the correct attitude it takes to with this "heathen skill testing challenge of a sport." Ever since Croatia beat Italy in the last World Cup I've been planning for spots to play on this exciting team. Croatia is one of the few teams who get on to the pitch and carefully remove the reverse feature in their car. Speedy, and talented sneakiness make this Croatian team a likely suspect to surprise at the final wire imho.
I still wonder what the pot at the end of that yellow brick road looks like?

Thank You France., Your POOR Security Just Cost Us All A Bit More

With all of the so-called "terror" threats to the West from whatever group that can't get its way using the normal channels for political change. Enter the French who've already had numerous attacks on their soil, hosting an international event - the Euro 2016 - cannot even manage prevent the stadium from being breached by incendiary devices and/or explosive devices?!?

Thank you France... We in the West everywhere can now look forward to paying for MORE heightened security at every imaginable event everywhere. And locally the ropes around our necks  grow as our local constabulary police state gets its free pass to drink a full case of power drinks before tonight's shift.

Good luck getting into any event on time from now on with these idiots and/or 'plants' committing these kinds of dangerous interruptions to normal civil procedures to maintain the required level of fear amongst the public just in case we think we can't afford those expensive contracts held tightly by the boys and 'girls' who walk that thin blue line...

Sorry Spurs.Old & Tired Loses Again.*See Ya In The Sports Nostalgia Files

Haven't we seen enough examples of age catching up to our sports heroes?

Over in Cleveland we patiently watched as Lebron James coached his Cavalier crew to roll 8 games straight through their opponent's because he gets it. Long series create tired bodies and injuries. Cleveland are likely doing grape knee-highs n' spicy tacos in that sunspot Cancun, Barkley and that TNT 'Yooo whooo crew keep festooning aboot.

     But back on track...

Witness the last few NBA games. An old Miami squad, injured ,tiring losing late to a nervous Craptors squad. Then Donovan and OKC discovering a hole in Pop's wall and winning two straight by pushing their old-timer-centric opponents over their current physical limits.. OKC coach, Donovan must of spotted that 'stink' on them Spurs having noticed it way back when, while coaching Florida as some college players would hit a wall as the post season progressed.

Tonight the Thunder pound that cut in Pop's game like a boxer, surgically dismantling this nostalgia collection and moving on to face the resting Warriors. There is no cut man on the San Antonio squad to stop the momentum Oklahoma will push it tonight. Just watch how tired the Spurs look by the 3rd quarter. Ginobili, Parker , Duncan?!..,if you run the tapes they looked spent after those drives of old ... [More]

!!AUF PASSEN!! Golden State/Portland Referees Trend Under

Be careful if your looking at the PORTLAND/GOLDEN STATE TOTAL OVER 217.5/218 with love in your eyes..

The late play might be on the under with everyone chasing their missing wallets after the East coast result shows up and especially so with the listed referees trending towards the under in games they officiate in.

Good luck which ever way you decide to go

"Are You Smuggling Grapes...Kenny?" Charles Barkley Picked As The Trumpsters Running Mate? Oh yeah..

That Charles Barkley is a funny funny guy...

He surely gets quote of the night in every segment he shows up in. "Are You Smuggling Grapes...Kenny?" That one killed me after the post card shot of the boys in Cancun with those suspect tan lines on Kenny's chest. That quip from Charles almost killed me laughing...

There is another guy out there right NOW, who attracts and commands that kind of attention... and he's on the mind of every voting American citizen RIGHT NOW even as they sleeeeeep.

That surging Don of Americana...Yep the 'Trumpster' from out of the bad press dumpster should be checking his calendar right about now for available appointments and make that final call. Yep Do the RIGHT THANG and pencil in that King of Everyting our man Brave Sir Charles Barkley as his freaking running mate and put a REAL Good OLD Fashioned sense of humour back into the USA!  Your SLEEEZY TV EXECS would likely get a hard on for the prospects, the news futures they could mine from out of that GIG and hey, wouldn't that just make the world a little bit more interesting for a change... Eh?

Shaq's Checkered Coat?!? Duude & Who Dunnit?

Shaq's Fabulous Checkered Coat?!?

Is he trying to draw attention?

Hypnotizing that coat is.

I used to wear one of those when as a radical 'green' politician I wanted to mess up the aggressive television networks who tried to take us out of context. This was our way of giving them the shortest window of content because of the EFFECT on the screen He he he

Wonder if somebody told Shaq? or he thought it up himself?

Thinking it was the latter and now wondering what the motive was???

Citi - First Big U.S. Bank Subpoenaed in FIFA Scandal

Y' all know the details behind how the banks robbed us in 2008. Well apparently their addiction to that taste of winning by betting on both sides of a game allegedly never left their repertoire. See details:

U.S. banks are now being questioned in the FIFA corruption scandal that has rocked the sports world.

Citigroup (C) said in a recent securities filing that it has been slapped with a subpoena from U.S. officials investigating alleged "bribery, corruption and money laundering" at FIFA.

Anti-money laundering laws require banks to alert authorities about shady transactions like the ones at the heart of the FIFA scandal. Senior FIFA officials used various U.S. banks -- including Citi, JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and Bank of America (BAC) -- to transfer and receive $150 million in bribes and kickbacks, authorities alleged last year.

Citi said officials have requested information related to "banking relationships and transactions" tied to individuals "identified as having had involvement" in the alleged corrupt conduct.

In other words, authorities are questioning whether Citi turned a blind eye to suspicious transactions allegedly made by FIFA officials.

Related: FIFA vows to clean up its act. But will sponsors be satisfied?

Citi said it is "cooperating" with authorities on the subpoena, which came from the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District in New York.

"Condor" Pitching? & NOW Everythings Up to Date in Kansas City...

Today's Chicago White Sox starter is Chris Sale who is even better on the road than he is at home and likely only because Chicago's U.S. Cellular Field is a hitter’s park. Our man, Sale affectionately known as the "Condor,"currently sports a phenomenal 1.41 ERA on the road, and in one start in Kauffman Stadium he allowed only 4 hits and 0 ER in 8 IP. Kansas City's home OPS of .665 is 14th in the AL and ranks only .001 ahead of last-place Seattle. Over his last 33 frames, Sale has been real juicy striking out a healthy plate full of 42 batters. He has put up the best skills of any starter since the All-Star break.  And if  that don't wake up the Grandma in your style of step how about the fact that he has even increased his four-seam fastball velocity by 2.4 mph from the 1H to the 2H, which incidentally is more than any pitcher in the game today. Sale throws with a "funky" sidearm throwing motion which is often referred to as an "inverted-W" due to the way his arms come across his body while he pitches. If that is confusing to you?, imagine trying to hit this guy who has a very nice strike out percentage of 43%. That's a winner folks and now your up to date in Kansas City for tonight's game at Kauffman Stadium.

Warmest regards,

Total play: LAA/Texas Under 9.5 -120

Heading into today's games we should be noting an umpire alert following along Weeble's train of thought..About a year ago someone in this forum pointed out that Mr.Eddings who is respectfully umpiring todays LAA/Texas game was a pitcher's type umpire and therefore a usual suspect for delivering unders.

According to Tin's baseball report Mr.Eddings last 6 out of 9 ( 67%) games ended UNDER their set totals. Combine this with Texas's last 8 of 11 games going UNDER (72%)

We don't really have any marquis appearances here in pitching either...Rasmus pitching for the Angels is 0-0, 3.86 (4.2 IP) in two starts; *Tin suggesting this is a bullpen game for Halos. .
Texas is 2-13 in last fifteen Martinez starts (0-0, 2.38 in last two.

This could of been one of those day game getaway days which would of been a red light because Texas hits the snot outta the ball in day games RE: 12-4 recent out burst in that bottomless pitcher's park they built in Seattle.

We have two teams who usually produce a pant load of runs when they play each other which likely is what scared the books into setting a number at 9.5 juicing up the OVER at -115 anticipating the over betting trend in their match ups. The juice has already reversed here at 10:26 am EST so the gig might be up already. We may even get a 9 or an 8.5. Just a heads up if you like less than 10 as it stands now.

PLAY:  LAA/Texas 9.5 under -12... [More]

FROST SOLUTION #1: Move Super Bowl & All its of its *Ringtinglers' to Hawaii YES or NO

If Oprah Winfrey can give out free donuts and Winnebago's to her audiences the bar has clearly been set high folks!

Time for smart guy Roger S. Goodell the Commissioner of the National Football League to step up to the plate and bleed some of his operations' gazillion$$$ in take home money. Public relations is always the best route to travel when entertaining Roger. You know that better than most of us wannabe hosts of the most watched spectacle on the boob tube. This Super bowl can skip over the weather like Jack Sprat and become worthy of the term spectacle. Its the right thing to do Roger.

Solution#1 to the freezing NY situation that's quickly approaching.

How about the NFL put up the entire ticket purchasing audience and its entire gig with all the bells whistle's ringtinglers etc over to Hawaii for the big game?

Its the right thing to do Roger.. and Roger consider the act and early birthday present to yourself (Feb 19, 1959) and your family -everyone who sits down with a beverage or chip bag sponsored by your league to watch this silly game called football despite the mostly hand contact on the ball.

Spending money you will likely get back in publicity and residuals outstanding ledger wedgy Rog!

You know what to do sir. simply pick up thae big red telephone and start the extravaganza..

Wooden Heads, Super Bowl Sawdust & Who is Charles Barkley Playing Circa 2002?

Good gamblers can spot the herd of wooden heads before the bookmakers can smell their sawdust. No kidding Pinocchio! Just ask Dave Malinsky here at Covers. Pre-game action tells us we have a slippery slope of line movement in favour of the Broncos. Woooo hoooo! (ooops... not so loud)        The line is moving up because everyone is betting on Denver.  BUT Before you look at your mortgage with love in your eyes, you should know that Denver has a 22nd rank defense and astonishingly sits behind your JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS in pass ranking!! Champ Baily? Defensive back for the Broncos...I got a football card round here with him on it from the freekin 80's. Geeeeez...Steve Sommers on the Fan 66 in NY calls Baily "a million years old."        Seattle on the other hand have the best defense in the  league and defense wins championships.Vegas is daring you to take Denver 1st quarter and 1st half.
Denver got to the Super Bowl simply because there is no real team in the AFC that plays decent defense except for maybe Houston but they were throwing games to get a draft pick. If Lynch can run against a top defense in San Francisco, Seattle will easily be able to run against this less than stellar Bronco defence.        On offense Seattle is one of the few teams that run the... WHAT!?!? Beautiful Game's Balls Banned From School grounds?

I had to check my calender for the year I was in..

Yep its still 2012 NOT the DARK AGES

You gotta know by now that some where in the world the .001% of the wealthiest bastards on this planet sit around in aluminum helmuts with their rows of lawyers and bean counters on steroids in back rooms deciding whats going to happen in the world. And despite all of our futile attempts at participatory democracy and elections. This result is just the way hierarchies work.We either wack em or enjoy the barf they serve us after they've had their fill of soylent green...This world is absloutely NO FUN with these greedy mean spirited clowns running our towns.

BUT NOW they have crossed one of those lines in the sand we thought they'd dare not cross. Here we go in Toronto, Canada - where school officials have decided to go after the beautiful game and have banned the use of soccer balls on their school grounds!?!? Is this some kind of war on fun?

Is it time to get our BALLS back on the field?

Absolutely right

Thank you for paying attention...

Own Worst Enemy?

"I have seen the enemy and it is US!"

Are we not our own worst enemy?

Deep down we all know that by being patient and able to settle on one juicy pick per day and/or per week we can likely manage our money and build a way to winning while gambling on sporting events. In other words...Its probably better to wait for the big pay day than to imagine it might happen daily

Even though you might try to hold to this proces of patience and money management - you - like me tend to get bored. Remember winning is not boring. I have to confess that like most if not all gamblers I am also guilty of over playing the board and saying farewell to a nice chunk of my bank roll from time to time. You know the feeling by now.. sometimes the board looks soo juicy and you just drift into a pantload of action even though I know it will eventually burn my bankroll down I  expose myself to the crash.

We can self discipline ourselves by creating an ACTION account and a PATIENCE account. Sort of like putting the governor on a diesel engine...You wait for the Gems and paly them on the Patience account while the Action account is used to solve our craving for constant action.

Any successful gambler with their bag of magic tricks and developed set of discipline for maintaining patience can tell you this gig is a marathon not a sprint.

Thanks for paying attention.

Zig Zag Total Plays [Yes or No?]

Just wondering if players still subscribe to this angle on totals.

Books tend to anticipate the public to flock after a string of overs or unders and so the play here on the ZIG ZAG tack is to go the other way.
