Great Article on the Hotbed of Talent in SEATTLE

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1166094/1/index.htm

This is a great article about how almost all of the players produced out of Seattle has a great tie to its community and has NBA players mentor and groom younger players in the city.

My question is, how common is this? I know Seattle isn't on top in terms of producing talent to the NBA, but how common is it for players elsewhere to consistently come back and do so much good for young guys and represent the city so hard?

Just wanted thoughts/comments/stories from other parts of the world about this.  And the article is lengthy, but worth the read.

Why I Like CAL..

It seems as though many of you are on Murray State tonight..

I think several factors play into CAL winning this by 15+

Theo Robertson, Patrick Christopher, Jerome Randle and Jamal Boykin all are returning starting seniors.

I feel they have to prove they are worthy of their preseason ranking (#12), ahead of UW, who were Pac-10 champs last year.

Jorge Gutierrez is turning out to be a great player, showing a little offense in their exhibition game to go along with his defensive strengths.

Jerome Randle was upset about his exhibition showing (7pts on 2-8 shooting and 4 turnovers), and will come out determined.

Now I'm a little skeptical about their bench production, but I believe Gutierrez will be coming off the bench tonight and be a spark plug.

I am relatively new here, so take all this for what it's worth.
