"I'm in my prime right now, playing the best basketball I've ever played, and I feel as good as I ever felt. So let's not wait. Let's do it now if we can do it. So it's not about me signing a contract." - Wade

"They have to do everything they can to make sure they want me there for the future," he said.

If Riles wants Wade to sign he should make major moves now to entice rather than wait for him to sign the extension. Riley should do all he can to keep a player like Wade and make it his priority!!!!!
I've been watching Wade since 2003 & his game has improved significantly he will only continue to improve wich is the scary bit but right now is the right time to push as he is playing exceptionally well!!!!

Wade once again put Miami Heat on his back and made the squad filled with rookies & young players into not only a .500 team but Playoff contenders. I think everybody knows Miami would have not had as many wins as they did and place 4th in the East had they no Wade i mean look at that line up. And if only they had more victories Wade could have been not only Scoring Champ but league MVP also.

Miami i understand are after a veteran guard and it has not been stated but i know Riley's inclination to Centers that we may have a surprise in the works. Either wayI know Riley will be shaking up that line up worse than an abusive step father once Wade places his sig on the dotted line as Wade cannot continue to carry the load as must get help and a Vet PG and Good experienced Center is key.

Veteran PG is what is missing in this team and if O'Neal can be healthy he can be an even bigger threat than last season like he showed in a few games against the Hawks. We saw how good Heat executed when their inside/outisde game was working with Jermaine a threat for Miami in the middle and Wade on the outside ready to attack.

Wade in my honst opinion is somehwta unlike Lebron or even Kobe in his early years........Wade has always been primarily, intially and whole-heartedly a "TEAM-FIRST SELF SECOND" sort of player. He understands self heroics comes second best to playing a good team game and that is what i always liked about him and why he carries the team so well. So with that said Riley make the moves the time is now to make Miami a dangerous threat to not only the East but the League and with the East being as potent of a conference as ever we gotta get the right players to help Wade out this season!!!

Yeah ct, have a strange feeling Odom may end up suiting up in a Heat jersey this season. To lower the offer would also decrease his chances in signing. Riley & Wade were in LA no reports wether they met with Odom but is it coincidental both are their at the same time while being stated that Odom is their main priority???

If they do sign Odom i think it will start the ball rolling as they will then try to trade for Boozer and i could imagine Riley going after that vet PG he has been after like Tinsley or A.I. or even see Jason Wiliams back in the rotation.

This would all then lead to land somebody like Bosh in 2010.

If Odom deal falls through this could be possibly be the 2009-2010 line up?

VET PG/Chalmers

Wade/Cook
Boozer/Diawara
Odom/Beasley
J.O./Magloire

Still no depth to be top 3 perhaps?

Glad that whole Odom thing is dead!!! And seems more clear that Riley may end up sticking with what they already have and develop players like Chalmers & Beasley ready for 2010-2011. I can also see a possibility of in-season moves around dec-feb.

Though i would not mind Iverson for a 1 year deal (considering Miami will not be contending this season) if it doesn't take away from Chalmers & Beasley's development. Interesting Riley has contacted him with his interests - this deal would bring in revenue for Miami Heat Organisation.

Beasley reported entering rehab...............THE best thing he has done so far since he has been such a dissapointment. Let's hope this can be a moment of clarity for him and he matures and gains perspective and focus in not only self but his life and basketball.....................or maybe he continues to be a douche ass clown.

weed & other drugs perhaps. before he shut down his twitter account he said some pretty depressing/suicidal things so i assume it was the Heat org. and fam who may have enticed him to go clean himself up. I just hope other than a good recovery that this won't mess up his trade value.
