ATL at home is 1-4 SU their L5 (W against MIN) and BOS is impressive 4-2 L6 losing to TOR by 1 and DAL by 2...This series is always worth the watching

1st of 2 games televised on TNT tipping off at 8ET. BOS defeated NJ last night with ease, racing out to a 36pt lead at half and coverered (-8) winning by 24! ! ! This came on a night where neither R. Wallace nor K. Garnett was in the line-up and while I thought they would struggle on the road they held the Nets to 37% FG. I had a gut feeling that this team was angered by recent collapes vs ATL and losses on the road during a recent WEST COAST road trip (PHO, GSW, LAC).....Ok, now, let's recall that this CHI forced Gm7 in last years 1st rnd playoffs when perception around the league is that this was a team ready to step forward....Well let's just say a 28 point L on 10/28 and a 26 point L @ home is not they had in mind vs the CELTICS....BOS is 11-5 SU at home and CHI is 3 - 15. STAT of the day.....CHI is 1 - 7 ATS on the road when getting 7 or more points If home teams lay 6 points for HC....this is a gift! ! !

Jumping off the pick sheet is UCONN laying -6.5 over AP #20 Pitt after a recent collapse vs GT. While they are an impressive 10 – 0 @ home and 4 – 0 ATS when laying anything under 15 pts., they have lost SU vs any team resembling an opponent….the points are iffy, but the TOT is way too low….Both are in the Top 15 in nation in FG% allowed, yet these contenders can score as well. Over is 4 – 1 for PITT ---easy.

I can’t believe the books have DET laying -4.5 again at home when they have lost the last 3 at home SU as FAV. I really like how PHI has been playing lately especially their effort last night vs TOR, a team who has been peaking, nearly win in a 108-106 nail biter.

Atlanta vs Orlando (NBA)

Bulter is 3-1 on the road with only loss to UAB who is 10-0 at home and all 4 opponents are a combined 25 – 3!

Matchup #1 - Northwestern vs Auburn O/U 55
1st Bowl game on the menu where its hard to ignore that Auburn is laying 9 pts to a B10 opponent that avgs more than 25pts a game and Auburn was LAST in the SEC in pts allowed (26.9). One angle that stands out - Over is a combined 10-3-1 this season when each play at Home. 2-6-1 when on road.
Play is the UNDER 55
Matchup #2 - Penn St vs LSU -1.5
The playing field is chewed up for this snoozer for 2 teams who pride themselves on DEF. PSU is facing an SEC team who ranks 108th in FBS in yds per game and PSU allows a 8th best 277.1 and 5th in pts allowed at 11.8. Penn St will methodically outplay LSU who cannot even figure out what timeouts mean in a low, close outcome.

Matchup #3 - OSU vs Oregon -4.5

3 Teamer on 12/29/2009 went 1-2 as the T-Wolves struggled from the field to lose by 18 while at +11. Chance to cover with 2:13 remaining in the 4th down by 13 missed. The Lakeshow (-11.5) look dim throughout with a pulse late with a minute to go in 4th up by 9, ended up with SU W of 6.
Record for yesterday, to include iso plays, was a paltry 5-4 for a post Xmas record of 23-14.
What made yesterday a very memorable day was a recovering, bankroll empyting, all-in play on the CAVS (+115) vs ATL and WiS (+155)!!!!

Arizona (+135) Line movement from its opening number of -1.5 to +3 suggests that Nebraska is in better role of fav than Arz. This change IMO is due to the well documented shortcomings Nebraska experienced late vs TEX and the success of DT N. Suh finishing 2nd in the selection for Heisman Tropy Winner. And what about ARIZ, well coming from the Pac-10, if it wasn't USC news, then there was no news. This team was in the driver seat to win the conference title outright vs ORE in ORE, before yeilding a tying late 4Q TD and 2OT ping-pong match. Since XMas, I've started to make more informed selctions from my pick sheet which has lead to recent boost in both my record and my wallet. I fancy 3-6 team parlays in cross sport plays with 2-3 selections SU to cover my bets for the day.
