From a point spread value perspective ! I think this number is correct. After all the Kings have been on the opposite side of three plus 20 point blowouts. So there is a valid reason why they are getting 6.5 points.
What is in play here is the new coach angle! Westphal gets fired and it looked as if this team changed it's spark plugs.
A 21 point comeback in their last game with 3 player season highs to boot. Thorton 27 points, Evans 10 boards and CRY BABY COUSINS also had a season high with 15 rebounds.
Westphal benched Demarcus on 2 occasions and after Keith Smarts first game as the Kings coach. I can quote Cousins as saying """I FELT FREE OUT THERE, IT JUST FELT GOOD TO BE ON THE COURT"" I'm not sure if Smart is the long term answer for this team but since this is only his second game as head coach. Well then this is a fresh new coach angle which will have some short term effect SACRAMENTO becomes the WISE GUY WAGER OF THE DAY.

Don't forget another important factor. Sac had a players only meeting and I heard it went well and the players came out of it energized . They've also had 2 days off before this game and orlando is going on a long cross country 6 hour trip and the magic have been doubting themselves lately.

Wizards had a players only meeting thursday and they put on the best 4th quarter effort in their season playing very hard with high emotion and high energy and effort..., and of course covering the spread vs the knicks in their first game post- team meeting

the spread is the same here. The Wiz covered the +6 against the knicks only losing by 3 at home.. and the Kings are +6 at home as well.

Furthermore, we have a RLM (reverse line movement) on this game to boot. Orlando is now only -6 point favorites not -6.5 as the opening.

This, despite more bets going to Orlando. The line is moving the wrong way.

I think bring the knicks up is irrelevant. Just because the team had a players only meeting doesn't mean they will play better.

I like a lot of points in this game but i'm skeptical of Sac even with 6 points.

I've watched sports for a very long time and these player-only meetings work.

The Heat started the season 9-8 last year, with the world on their shoulders and more pressure put on them by the media that i wouldn't wish on anyone.

they held a players only meeting after that 9-8 start, sorted things out for an hour looking at themselves in the mirror.. then they came out with sheer fervor and determination playing with much higher emotion. RESULT = the Heat tied the NBA record for most consecutive road wins in a row in a calendar month with 11

The toronto maple leafs of 2003 were underperforming and losing. Captain mats sundin called for a players only meeting which was well publicized at the time. The team then went on something like a 16-1 run and had the best 17 game stretch of the last 30 years of that pathetic franchise.

I was very high on the Wiz the other night. check the threads from that game and before the game I said "wiz WILL cover". These player only meetings are very powerful. Most of the time teams come out and play "over their heads" and play extremely inspired after these things.

I have been following sports for a long time. If you don't think playing with a high sense of purpose, playing with high emotion, and playing with extreme motivation doesn't effect games in a big way, then I don't know what else to tell you.

Took it early at +6.5. Just a horrible loss when you consider they were covering for almost the entire game.
