''Let the Battle for LA begin"" It should read more like ""Changing of the Guard" As soon as the schedule came out for 2012 tonight's game has become one of the most anticipated match ups of year.
After getting a beat down for several years it's time for payback.
By installing the Clippers as a -2.5 point favorite in practically a neutral court game the odds makers have distinguished the better team. " Of course no surprise to me" Actually i would of made the Clip joint -4 in this game.
Match up problems for the Clippers ?? None whatsoever.
This team can play defense. When it counted they held the Heat to 3 points in Overtime on Wednesday. Jordan is becoming one of the best shot blockers in the league.
Absolutely no letdown here by the Clippers. They win this game by DD's. Last but not least they catch the Lakers on a 4 games in 5 nights situation.

Gotta lean the same way but I won't go and anoint the Clippers just yet, they have had it easy with only 8 games to date versus the Lakers 13, but paybacks are a bitch and the Clippers have to play a compressed schedule down the road for the easy time of it now. Lakers could get a little testy about what happens in "our house" and don't ever think Staples isn't their house, it most assuredly is. I will pass too, so,

Lakers suck against good penetrating point guard and guard play.. CP3 ?!

Their biggest blowouts (knicks and utah earlier) were against atrocious PG and G play, with absolutely no penetrating threats.

Look at the teams that covered against the Lakers or beat them -Bulls (rose), Denver TWICE (Lawson), SAC, PORT (felton was penetrating at will whenever he wanted to and their offense worked off his penetrations) , etc etc

Clips all day. Rested team + statement game + they have 3 good Point guards lol (CP3, billups, Mo). Lakers are toast 2night

i thought the clips would be favored by 5 or somewhere around there...keep shooting for 40 bryant while alienating your teammates who don't like you anyways...i'll take the more cohesive and athletic team while you dominate the ball and expect the rest of your teammates to remain interested in playing defense while getting no touches ....
