I doubt the spread will come in play here. The Cavs should easily cover this number and as a matter of fact i think this line will close around -4 or -4.5. The Nets have 13 losses this year and 10 of them have been in the DD range. They aren't very deep and will only compete if Williams and Morrow get hot. The Nets lead the league in 3pt attempts at 25.6 per game , which is not a good thing. This is about 8 attempts higher than the league average and it usually means your playing catch up most of the game.

These teams played a 106-96 game earlier this year and the posted total in that game is identical to what it is today. I think the number will hit 198 by game time and I see no reason why this game should not go over once again.

I wonder what your thoughts are on the Raptors/Nuggets game;

Raptors covered, and won both of their previous games.

Last game, Andrea Bargnani injured his ankle again.

He returned for 2 games, they won 2 games.

They averaged 19 points per 1st Q when he was out, and averaged something like 79 ppg when he was out. I watched both of their games and the Raptor offense relies heavily on him to provide that offensive punch.

Now they are back to basically Barbosa, Derozan, Calderon, Kleiza and James Johnson.

I see the total being set at 198 for this game....

I think its WAY to steep.

I mean if the Raptors put up 80 are the nets going to put up 120?

Dwayne Casey is getting the Raptors to push the ball when they can, but I just don't see when they are going to have opportunities to make sound decisions in transition.

Casey also likes to move the Raptors into a zone to throw the other teams offense out of sync. I know the Nuggets can shoot the 3, but with Lawson out, who is also a big part of the Nuggets transition game, I could see the Nuggets offense having some trouble at times.

Not sure if you have an opinion on this game.

I'm absolutely sick of playing totals after going about 1-6 in my last 7, but I think this one is just too high given the missing components to each teams respective offense.

like the cleveland analysis as well as the total play 44....but cleveland as a favorite scares me...and new jersey will have the best player on the court in that game in deron williams...

i can see cleveland winning with ease but i can also see new jersey having a chance and doing what they did in philadelphia the other night as well....would like to think the prior would happen since you're usually spot on with your analysis...but it's a 2 unit play by you!

It seems like Cavs have been on the road forever. The schedule will favor them the next couple of weeks. Eventually i think they'll square up their record and i think this is a soft number. I already see it up to -3.5. Deron Willimas is not going off for 34 again tonight.

I haven't played many totals this year actually the MIN/SA game is my first one.

With Bargnani out I'll pass on the Raptors and my lean would be under. Every time Kleiza puts up a trey the ball end up on the outer glass.

Portland will get the win today. It's just a matter of the cover. They are 7-1 ATS at home and i think that angle will regress somewhat! Do you recall the Sixers starting the season 8-0 SU and ATS. They lost outright in Game 9 as an 11 pt favorite against the Nets and i don't think they cover tonight the Bobcats as well.
