YTD  29-19 ( +22.50 units )

5u 0-0
4u 3-0
3u 7-2
2u 4-9
1u 15-8

MINNESOTA -1.5 ( 4 units ) Game of the Week
As long as i think I'm getting favorable lines betting against the Lakers I will gladly fade this team into the ground until the odds makers realize how unworthy this team is of a decent point spread recognition.
I was on the Bucks last night and I had several posters in my thread commenting on how the Bucks have no chance because Bogut is out and it will be Gasol and Bynum all day in the paint. My reply was this !! If you have two front court 7 footers your practically gonna win every match up situation regardless of what team you face. Kobe takes more shots than Bynam and Gasol combined. They are near the bottom of the league from the 3 point line. Kobe has no desire to learn Mike Browns system that's why he's taking 25-30 shots a game. The Nba has become a point guard league and the Lakers don't have a true point guard. You shouldn't be laying points on the road with a less than mediocre bench against a team at home that sports a winning record.
This is the angle that made this play my game of the Week. The Lakers are 1-4 SU and ATS when playing B2B with the second game being on the road.
AT SAC LOST 100-91
AT DEN LOST 99-90
AT UTAH WON 90-87
AT CLIP LOST 102-94
AT ORL LOST 92-80

ALSO PLAYING----------------------
CLEVELAND +7 ( 2 units )
SAN ANTONIO +5 ( 1 unit )
CLIPPERS +6.5 ( 1 unit )

good luck

Not sure what to make of this Magic team. Could be that Van Gundy's on his way out. Plenty of trade distraction concerning Howard. Absolutely no contribution from the guard position. Pacers might be the play

't

They play very good at home and have a couple of quality wins  against Orlando and Boston. They are getting some money today against the Hawks. The Hornets could be the wise guy play of the day. I'm a little picky i needed a few more points to back them up today. I certainly wouldn't play the Hawks that's for sure.
New Orleans 4-15 SU but 10-9 ATS WOW i think this might be the biggest PS/SU differential in the NBA

First time this year that the Bulls are getting points. Difficult to pass that up. If anything I'd play Chicago here.

I like your logic my man, but the fact remains that LAL has a 15 game win streak vs. MIN...15!!

You have to be really smart or really moronic to play against that trend. 15 game win streak and you're getting 2pts???

The play is to pound the Lakers.

You're right about one thing. Rubio will eat Fisher alive, but that won't be enough. MIN doesn't have a player capable of defending Kobe. And Love won't have his way vs. Bynum & Gasol.

It is not the odds makers. The public gets the lines they demand. As usual 60% of the bettors are backing them.

Yes I was one of those who were trying to find ways that the Lkaers would win, but you were right and I should have listened to you so on that one I lost.

But I went with the Bobcats and lost too, also fell short on that one.

So i reallly like the T-WOLVES BET.

But what do you think about the Nets & Hawks covering today?

composite says:
01/29/12 12:32PM

Agreed.  T-Wolves are favored by 2.  As dysfunctional as the Laker are, it's not as if the T-wolves are OKC or somethng.  They'll probably be a lotto team. If this line isn't right what should it be?

44-dimes says:
01/29/12 12:34PM

15 game win streak This is a meaning less Trend/Angle

Extended trends over multiple seasons is a useless handicapping tool.

44-dimes says:

Yes i agree somewhat ture. Inflated lines to accommodate the less knowledegable also referred to as ""SQUARES""

m11chen says:
01/29/12 12:49PM

And what makes makes you think the Lakers aren't a lotto team.  If the playoffs started today, they'd be packing their bags.  And honestly, I'd bet on Memphis to squeeze their way in before the Lakers.
composite says:
01/29/12 01:13PM

I just don't know if Minny -1.5 warrants a GOW play.  Yesterday's Milw did, but hindsight's 20/20.  Is Minny better than Milw? And, this Laker team will be slightly more desperate to win tonight.

I think Minny's the right side, but it's not as obvious as last night.

The emotional angle is over valued. Weren't the Lakers just as "desperate" in their other b2b losses?

It's a small factor, I agree.  Like I said, I'm on the Wolves tonight - I just don't think it's as strong as a GOW play implies.  GL.

BetsUnlimited says:

Sound analysis, or just someone who agrees with you?  Id venture to say that 44's writeup has much more "sound analysis" than your boy composite's comment.  Of course they are not OKC, but they did only lose by 4 to them and by 2 to miami.  Cant imagine those are going to be "lotto" teams.  You also failed to mention this same team beat the Spurs WITH Manu and the Mavs WITH dirk earlier in the year.....and signifcantly.

BetsUnlimited says:
01/29/12 03:20PM

I would feel sorry for anyone that made a play off of it as well....twas not my intention, nor did i say anywhere that i was making a play on Minny.  Agreed that Beasley was integral part of this team, however they have managed to hold their own at home going 3-2 their last 5 with the 2 loses coming from Houston and Chicago.....not the worst teams in the league.  Personally, id rather have my money on a team thats shown a bit of life at home, as opposed to a lakers team thats only won 1 away from staples center, losing their last 4.....by an avg of nearly 10 pts

Am I the only who has 0 fear of the Lakers in the 4th quarter?  Their entire offense morphs into Kobe taking shots while being triple teamed.  Sure they'll look good and win a few once in a while, but most of the time the other team catches up or pulls away.
StevieD says:
01/29/12 03:03PM

SMH. I feel sorry for anyone who took your post and made a play off of that insightful analysis.

Yes, they beat DAL w/ Dirk & SAS w/ Manu, but they also had Michael Beasley in those games, a little fact you so blatantly left out. They also had Beasley in those losses to OKC & MIA. And the 1st SAS game is the game in which Manu broke his hand, and played barely 12min.

Like I said GL
StevieD says:
01/29/12 02:23PM

Meaningless??!! Haaaaa! 15games is meaningless??!! LMAO.
You probably had MIN in each of their matchups last year as well. Look I give you credit with your MIL pick last night. I think LAL did what they do best, and slept on a team that was without Bogut & SJAX. That won't happen tonight.

GL with MIN 2night.
StevieD says:
01/29/12 02:30PM

Finally some sound analysis. MIN is riding high off b2b W's vs DAL & SAS. DAL was without Dirk, and SAS is just as bad as LAL on the road this year. The difference, SAS has no scorers on the floor with Manu gone. Duncan is washed up, and Tony Parker can only do so much.

MIN is talented enough to keep it close throughout, but in the 4th Q LAL will open up and probably win by 7 or 8.
