This angle has been very good to me the past few years. It goes as follows !! Fade a team  team coming back home playing it's first game following an extending road trip , in which the team has played at least 4 away games within a week. There are several reasons why teams don't fire in their first game back. The Hawks fall into this situation so the play is on Memphis tonight.

DENVER +2 ( 1 unit )

The Clip have had an unfavorable road trip the past 10 days playing H/R/H/R/H/R and now back home coming off a road win playing the Nuggets who are in a revenge situation.

i was thinking the same, but Dimes do you think that MEM might

actually be looking ahead to facing OKC the next day? the team that beat

them in a tough 7 game series in the playoffs and already beat them 2x

this year on their home floor?

Hawks last 3 years after 4 or more road trip games:

12/13/08 vs Cleveland W 97-92 W +4

12/29/09 vs Cleveland L 84-95 L -2.5

So they are 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS, how you made money from this is not unclear.
And it's probably completely random if you look at the whole NBA, because there is little reasoning behind it.

Everyone and their mom seems to be on Denver today... makes me a bit nervous, since that almost never turns out well..  Even though, Denver just makes sense in this spot...

On a curious note, how often does the home team after long road trip angle work statistically?  It just seems to me that ATL is the better team this year, and it's not that close.  Memphis hasn't beaten a single team with a winning record on the road all season.  Do you think they're a classic "good bad team", where they spank the SACs and NOs, but lose to every good team?

Sounds like a subjective opinion taken out of the blue.

Hawks are one of those teams, constantly getting underestimated when facing schedule adversity in case it has gone unnoticed.

They are yet again 5-1 SU and 6-1 ATS this season on b2bs and the last two years the were 24-18 SU and 25-17 ATS.

So good luck playing the tired legs angle against the Hawks.

Only part I dont like is Memphis overall record in Atl is not vey good,the way they have these teams playing this year is just stupid,4 to 5 games a week sometimes,tuff to cap some of this.

The reasoning is really common sense. Jet Lag, Heavy legs, sorting personel affairs ETC ETC. Especially after being away from home. It's not targeted towards a specific team or a full proff angle for that matter. I've done well with this angle and mostly focus on teams LAYING POINTS COMING OFF A WINNING ROAD TRIP RATHER THAN TEAMS THAT HAD A SUB .500 ROAD TRIP.

Not all my games win, but I don't fire blanks without self reasoning.. GOOD LUCK
