1 play for me so far.
NORTHWESTERN -3 -105 2units
Vanderbilts program is in shambles.
More to follow.
Good luck to all.
My opinion is dont load up too much on NW on the road here, correct Vandy has some issues, but the line is only -3???
I would think if a team was in "shambles" the line would be double digits at the least. I show both teams even in stability, NW having very small edge in power, but my numbers show home field evens this small edge out, my numbers show these two are even. I like the fact that Vandy has LSU, Ole Miss, UCONN in wks 2-4, this home opener is huge as I dont see this team winning any other game but wk 5 vs E Mich. Vandy is 58% as UD ATS L4 yrs, while NW is only 25% as a fav ATS L4 yrs. This is just a lean for me at this point. gl this season
Understand about NW on the road.
My eyes are telling me a different story with Vandy. At practice the other day in which I was in attendence, the offense could not run 4 consecutive plays without a false start, fumble, interception, or lining up wrong. Looked attrocious. Team seemed to look defeated. Too many ? on the lines on both sides and they don't know who will be taking the snaps on day 1.
To me NW will be able to run at will and will have their way on D.
Rest of wk1 plays
USC -19 -110 2units
MTSU -4.5 -105 1unit
Florida -34 -115 1 unit
Virginia Tech +2.5 -107 2units
Good luck to all. Will probably take a look at a couple of totals.
Fun little teaser for wk 1....
USC -11.5
Utah +4.5
MTSU +3
Northwestern +5
Texas -21
Nebraska -27
Va Tech +10
$60 to win 285
You bring up some good points joe, but I dont see it being that easy, and neither does vegas, with Vandy giving -115 at home and +3 points. Looking at the O/U of 44.5, in my opinion would indicate the score being closer to Vandy 21 NW 24, which would give either side a real betting edge. This game may be best to pass on. gl joe
Ding Ding Ding
Agree 100%, those plays were good before you teased them, so why bother? Teasing Nebraska down and Vtech up are good choices like money mentioned, but the other three just aren't worth it.
Vand. average score last year on offense was 16 pts. They were 0-5 at home.
Hope you have a great season
Just read this.
The preseason is less than a week old for Vanderbilt, and the Commodores have already lost two key members of their offense.
blog.
Tight end Austin Monahan will miss the entire 2010 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, while running back Zac Stacy is questionable for the opener against Northwestern after spraining his left knee.
N'W -3
my bet is dead set against vandy...the 'dores had attrocious qb play last year, with no major personel shift...can expect most likely the same result, they lose their coach unexpectedly and lose all starting o-line from last year...although vandy d may try to hang in for a qtr or so, i just don't see how they will be able to move the ball with any consistency...the offense will be giving up short fields all day
n'w offense will not have to be explosive to get out of nasheville with an easy win
N'W by 3 td's
MTSU line is slowly moving down. Actuall still feel strong about that play. Dasher may have done this degenerate a favor. The rest of the team will play their ass off.
On a different note....Northwestern still seems like a solid play. Tons of people on USC, kinda scaring me.
Starting to really like both Clemson and Auburn in their openers.
Also think Kansas St has what it takes to beat UCLA.
More plays to come it seems. Just a little over a week away. Cant wait
Updated Card
Northwestern -3 -105 2 units
Kansas State-2.5 -110 1 unit
LSU -1 -110 3 units
Still looking at totals and a few other games.
