AUSSIE'S AFL SCOOPS AFTER ROUND 12

Well boys, here's some interesting 'stuff' that emerged after round 12 in AFL.

The Big news is that the Doggies are firming more and more as premiership favourites. TAB opened them at $51, then they went down to $31 in round 2, moved even further down to $12 by round 7 and this week they've opened at $6. Their 63 pt win against Brisbane really made some real believers out of the Aussie punters.

On another front reports have shown that it was a horrendous week for the bookies this last round. The Bombers were backed from $1.90 down to $1.57!! (that's a huge move in anyone's books) Plenty of money was piled on the Doggies too, from $1.55 down to $1.33. Freo (who woulda' thought!) was backed huge too, from $1.85 to $1.60. Also Sydney was pretty well backed from $1.25 down to $1.15. So it was good to hear the bookies got a pounding this last round. The Hawks too were a bit of a bookie-killer with that last minute win against Adelaide. The only saving grace for the bookies came via Brendan Fevola. Oh mate, that goal was a ripper and that turn around was amazing, but the Pies are a bunch of morons. However, the bookies thought the Pies were gold, as it really saved their butt from a huge hole.

There's an interesting betting option that's just opened with TAB : quinella Swans and Bulldogs at $37! Not a bad option really...if you got some spare cash that is!

Melbourne is still the wooden spoon faves at $1.33 (not a bad bet at all I would think) The Cats too are firmed as favourites to win it again, and I reckon it'd have to be a pretty special outfit to beat them. What do you reckon???

As far as Round 13 goes, I find quite suprising that The Saints and Freo have opened at pick'em. And you may be thinking that my surprise is the Saints not being favoured here! But no, I would have thought that Fremantle should start favourites as the Saints are reeling and Freo is a pretty decent side despite their crappy run and heartless losses...

Anyhow there's some food for thought for us all, as we chase that mighty dollar via sport wagering!

Cheers and Best of Luck everyone - AUSSIE

Swans will beat the Bulldogs for the GF.

Cats watch it on tv.

Here's why I reckon the Cats watch it on the telly.  It's high in research and deliberation, so you might need to ask me further about my research methods here.  The Cats will want to attack the Swans, well, because they're birds and cats like to eat birds, so as the Cats mount up an attack on the poor little Swans, they are not paying attention and get walloped by the Dogs, well, because dogs like to chase cats and usually win when they battle cats.  Thus, this leaves the Dogs and the Swans in the end.

And they say Americans can't figure out Aussie Rules!

I have no problem with a Twilight GF because everything championship-wise in the States are late-night affairs.  So, I am used to it.  However, I do understand the purist reasoning of Aussie Rules is meant to be played during the day and we are not Rugby League and we need to respect that, etc., etc., etc.

So, either way, I don't mind nor care as long as the Red and White are playing in it.
