Aussie's Toronto Blessing - the last hurrah

As I said from the outset of this when the Toronto Masters started early on in the week, I really believed that it was going to be a great week from a betting point of view.  If you've played all the games I played and placed the units accordingly, at the odds that I've shown - then you should be real happy by now.
I must say however, that the 6 Unit First Set wager on Kiefer last night was a real blow. Easy to be 20/20 hindsight vision "expert" now when it's all been said and done, BUT I wish i hadn't gotten greedy chasing the higher odds playing the first set instead of the match.  As I said in my write up y/day, I was more confident on the whole match Kiefer win than on First Set win, but the greed got the better of me.  Live and learn I guess..

On to the last game of this Masters Series though:
I watched Nadal play Murray and manalive, I was in awe of him.  How good has he become??? Federer will need another Federer standing next to him if he's to beat Rafa at next month's US Open. I mean Rafa's defying physical laws - How can he retireve like that on hardcourt???? His phenomenal staunch defence would even make that of the Detroit Pistons' a couple of years ago, blush!  Murray was hitting some amazing forehands, and against ANYBODY they woulda' been clear winners. Rafa however, would send em back with real interest!
Therefore, there's no value at all betting on or against the Bull in tomorrow's final. First and Second set wins are of no value either. The only value I could find, after some number crunching I've done, is the number of games offered here.
I'm starting this from the premise that Rafa nails this in straight sets (don't think you'd argue with that?!) However I expect a 7-5 or 7-6 First Set Score, then I expect Rafa to run away with the second but not more than 6-2! Thereupon, we're left with 6-3 all the way to 7-6 second set score.
(hopefully you're following here...?)
My bet is :
21-26 (both numbers included) games to be played at $3.95. Playing it for 2.5Units!

hopefully with a bit of luck we hit this guys and finish it in a real high
Best of luck to you all and Hope you have a grouse (Australian for 'awesome') week-end

Thanks for interesting reading, Aussie! You are really writing good.  Okey, here is Sunday’s Lucky Six suggestions as follow:

ATP
1) Nicolas Kiefer vs. Rafael Nadal

2) Benjamin Becker vs.

George Bastl
3) Arnaud Clement vs. Andrea Stoppini
4) Paul

Capdeville vs. Victor Estrella

WTA
5) Dinara Safina vs. Flavia Pennetta
6) Anabel Medina

Garrigues vs. Sara Errani

Why?

1) My favourite in tennis Ralph (Raphael)

Nadal is going to win in 2 sets (7-5; 6-2) or (worst case) 3 sets (5-7; 6-3;

6-2).

2) Benjamin Becker has never impressed me.

Perhaps as a junior, but today he is just another struggler of money for the

daily bread in the grey crowd of 100-Down. But he has to fight and beat an even

worse n_erd of tennis. George “no-no“ Bastl. Ben is going to win here, no

doubts, otherwise he has proved that he hates to win.

3) Arnaud Clement will eat Andrea alive. I

am sure: It will be a stop for Stoppini. No more comments.

4) Two, not very high ranked (127

respective 273), Gentlemen from Chile and

the Dominican Republic. Looking back, we can notice that there is no doubts that Paul is a

better player than Victor. Paul Capdeville will be my choice.

5) At last, at last showed Dinara Safina

that she can play tennis. If she is going into a new period of success or if

yesterday was just a temporarily peak I do not know. I hope and think she will

win today. Flavia will fight, but she will have no chance against Safina.

6) Like Anabel Medina Garrigues, Sara Errani

is in a period of strong and stable tennis. The difference between them is

simply that Sara is a point better than Anabel. If you look at Looking back at

their matches from yesterday, you can undoubtedly see that.

Good Luck all!

First: I beg your pardon for that terrible lay-out my post sometimes get. Doesn't look too fancy. It looks terrible. I'll correct that.

Yes, you're right Aussie. Betfair is the name. Is Betfair common down under? I have to tranfer money to a special Australian account before I can bet on e.g. Aussie Rules. Btw. I was fooled Saturday morning (my time; evening your time) to back Brisbane Lions. "Guaranted free munny, lad!" I was told. I never listen to such crap as "free money" it doesn't exist, but this time I did and wow, when Lions started to up like a rocket... Yes, I backed. After the 3rd quarter their leading was astronomical. But, but, but... They lost 117-114. "Free munny?" lol. Never again.

Well, my bank has healed its wounds over the weekend. Btw. Does anyone of you bet on NASCAR? I have done it for years and tonight Jimmie Johnson was my bank note machine.

Greetings from a sunny, but too hot Scandinavia (it's like a sauna here; high humidity and no wind). Vikings are sweaty, but they sell Foster's here if you want to cool down with an Aussie.. lol.

.//. Cheers & take care! Your own Magpie
