If Iowa wins out...

Not saying they will, but if they do, they would have 4 wins over teams in the Top 25 (Arizona, Wisconsin, Penn St and Ohio St).

Texas, if they win out, would have 2 (Okl and OSU).

Is the B10 top to bottom really worse than the B12? Outside of Texas and Okie St, each team has 3 losses. If you compare the top 11 teams in the B12 vs. B10, who would be favored on neutral field.. My guesses are below

Texas -7 vs. Iowa
Oklahoma State vs. Penn St -5
Oklahoma -3 vs. Ohio St
Texas Tech vs. Wisconsin -4
Kansas St vs. Minnesota -1
Nebraska -3.5 vs. Michigan State
Texas A&M vs. Northwestern -2
Iowa St vs. Purdue -3
Kansas -6.5 vs. Michigan
Missouri -8.5 vs. Indiana
Baylor vs. Illinois -3

Don't see the B10 losing the majority of these games..

In conclusion, it might not be pretty, but if Iowa runs the table, their resume would be better than Texas and the Hawkeyes should jump the Horns..

Even though it will never happen..

While Iowa might finished undefeated, along with Texas, here is the problem I see, and others may agree. Iowa undefeated regular season record would be 11-0, Texas would be 12-0.

ok lets just say FL and Iowa plays in the championship game..it still dont matter bc its more like iowa is playing against the refs bc you will see a alot of SEC favoritism.

Iowa will lose in Columbus.

I would not compare the 02 Buckeye and 09 Hawkeye defenses, but the luck and close wins on a weekly basis is eerily similar.

As a huge Iowa fan though, I'd even accept a tainted national championship after a phantom penalty like the 02 Buckeyes.

indiana gave em a game, edged mich st.mich gave em a gave...they beat penn st

truth is all bcs conf are competitive within each other but maybe 2 bottom teams....these teams play each other every yr...these coaches see each other every yr...how many big upsets do you see in the sec???? how many do u see in the big10 pac10?

TCU plays in the Mountain West......if I remember correctly Utah kicked Alabama's ass last year in the Sugar Bowl........BYU from the MWC beat Oklahoma this year.....I think the Mountain West Conference has proven itself to be competitive beyond more than just one team.....

Iowa would lose to any of the teams in the top 10 right now -- and probably by a lot.

Iowa was extremely fortunate not to lose to Northern Iowa, for goodness sake.

No way does Iowa get into NC, even if they go undefeated. A one loss team will jump them.

The B10 has firmly blocked the path to a playoff system for all these years. IF (and it's a BIG if) Iowa were to undefeated and B10 team got shut out of the national championship picture, it would be nothing less than poetic justice.

Yeah, they definately don't want Iowa in there and they would be more likely to do a Alabama/Florida game than see a Big Ten team in there. Time has changed so quickly, though as just 4 years ago they were saying that Florida didn't deserve to be the one loss team, but Michigan deserved it in a rematch style NC game v. Ohio St... Now SEC is god's gift to football. It will all change in an instant folks. This season will once again prove why there should be a minimum 4 team playoff

OK, Iowa is a decent, but if the past has any bearing on the present Iowa will lose 2 games. USC always loses an away game as a double digit fav, and Iowa has been here before. So your saying the Big 10's best Non Conference win is against Arizona? Or maybe Wisconsin vs fresno st 34-31,or Ohio st vs Navy 31-27, or Penn St vs Syracuse 28-7, or michigan vs N.D, 38-34. That's all there is. How come you never schedule an SEC team? Conference bowl stats speak for them selves, and the Big 10 is one of the worst, but that's okay making easy money off the over rated big 10. Good luck Iowa, you deserve an undefeated season, there are no tough teams in your way, you only have history working against you. Go Hawkeyes.....
