Beginning of the end for Brady?

What happened to Tom Brady?  It wasn't the Giants Defense that beat him yesterday, not one bit.  Tom Brady showed us that he is human, that he makes mistakes, that he is an aging Vet.  He always reminded me of Derek Jeter, saying the right thing, and acting the right way in front of the camera; most importantly being CLUTCH.  Yesterday Brady showed us that just like Jeter he isn't perfect, isn't always clutch, and is on the decline of an illustrious career.

Tom Brady checked out in the biggest game of the year.  Sometimes I wondered if Tom actually just closed his eyes and chucked the ball down the field like a young Eli use to do to Plaxico and Tyree.  The physical tools are still there, but mentally from the preparation to split second decisions I don't it anymore from Brady.

I know Tom will bounce back and make a few more runs, but is this the beginning of the end for "Captain America" ?

And when he throws down the field, it is up for grabs, and usually a pic.

There is a 0% chance Peyton would ever play for Rex Ryan or the Jets.

NY isn't even that cold.  It's not like Green Bay or Chicago...Remember this post when he signs with the Jets.

Woody Johnson will offer him the most

Brady looked pretty darn good in the 2 TD drives, but after Justin Tuck landed on him, he definately looked like the guy from the 2007 SB game. I think the guy gets rattled after big hits, or maybe his shoulder was hurt, but either way, he is not perfect. Gotta give the Giants D a little credit for hitting a few times.

May be time to start looking for the succesor. He will be 35 next year, and Bellichick will recycle him if he can find the "next Brady" in the next couple of drafts.

And Peyton would not play for a jackass like Rex Ryan. I am surprised any players do.

NewEngland didn't look too good vs teams with a good pass rush( pitt, balt, dallas, nygiants twice) Brady didn't look too good with a hurt shoulder and ahobbled Gronk.

T. Brady has consistently done more with less thoughout his entire career. Eli is quite the opposite. He has consistently done less with more but the few years that he has performed up to his potential his team has won the Superbowl. Whomever has been scouting and drafting/signing players for the Giants over the past ten seasons really deserves the bulk of the credit.

This is beyond stupid. Brady was just fine yesterday. Do you expect a perfect game every time out? His receivers really let him down with all the drops late in the game.

Wow!  Brady loses a game and all the sudden his career is over.

He never goes downfield because he has no deep threat to go downfield to.  He doesn't have a Mike Wallace, a Calvin Johnson, or a Randy Moss in his prime.  You can't go deep without a deep threat.

They'll get him one in the draft and the Pats will be back next year.  Brady isn't going anywhere folks.

Pats always been my fav team for last 10years or so. But the dynasty is coming to an end. Brady's wife is more important to him then football now. This is the first superbowl I bet against them.

Im sure most of you saw the video of Brady's wife saying what she did after the game. You think that shit is going to go down good with the rest of the team? She just made Tom look so bad. But all she cared about was snapping back at Giants fans. because she is weak and took it real personal.

Models should do what they do best. Keep their plastic lips shut.

This bitch is going to ruin his carrer and them drop him.

I figure Peyton would want to keep away from his brother and stay in the AFC.

He carried them all year. They overachieved. That defense is not that good. They did not make many plays to save him. Yes, that intentional grounding was bad and yes he did throw a pick. But he still played damn well and there should not be any decline in his play. He probably has about 50 elite games left in the tank. After that he would still be better than 2/3 of all QBs.

And if welker pulled that wonderful ball in, that Tom Brady delivered to him it would have been the end of the game. And what would you have done? You wouldn't be posting such bullshit, you stupid dumbass.

And if Manning was never born the Giants would not have won 2 superbowls vs NE.

Leave the but's,if's and what if's out of it all. Because alot could happen on the other side of the ball to with those useless words.

Bottom line is the best team won.

Brady will be 35 soon, and most qbs start to conk out around 38, look it up.

I think he realizes he's on the back end of a great career, but the fire still burns for that Ring.

He'll need more than two tight ends and a midget to throw to, however.

The Patriots are getting younger and better. Shouldn't be too hard to upgrade or add to Dion Branch, don't you think?

And for all those saying "Pats are 0-2 since Spygate" They are also 0-2 without a 1000-yard rusher......

How fucking dumb is this post when if Welker catches a ball he catches 99 out of 100 times he wins yet another title, But Welker dropping a ball makes his career over ... This is coming from a Steeler fan !!!Thats how dumb it is

No one can stay in their prime forever but didn't he march them 96 yards (well 98 after the penalty) down the field going 10 for 10 with a t.d and on the 4th longest drive in super-bowl history to end the FH with the lead ?? And then late in the game was a drop away from nailing the coffin shut. I think there would be about 28 teams happy to employ his services next season.

Brady's best days are probably behind him, but I hardly think this is

the beginning of the end for him. He's got some great football left

ahead of him.

Even so, this could very well be Brady's last shot

at the Super Bowl. There are so many great young teams vying for the

title, that it will get increasingly more difficult for the Patriots to

make it back to the big show within the duration of Brady's career.

Nothing happened to Brady though against Balty & the G-men, he didn't seem quite as sharp as what we've gotten used to - pinpoint accuracy. With no deep threat & the Giants pass rush & D being what it is limiting an already mediocre ground gm, not having a fully healthy Gronk with all he can do was huge imo. He'll be around for awhile longer but who knows if he'll have another shot at a ring. One of the all-time greats -

so many ridiculous posts here... led by those who think if Welker had caught the bad pass Brady threw to him that the game would be over... no idea what these people base this on... there were 4 minutes left... that play would not have ended the game...

more importantly, Tom Brady's entire career has been built on Bellicheck's system of not forcing Brady to make difficult throws... ever! even when Moss was on the Pats, Brady would just lob it deep and make Moss go after it... never in his career has he been asked to make difficult high-level throws... why do people not see this? from day 1 this was the routine for Brady... he was gift-wrapped his first SB thanks to the infamous "Tuck Rule" play against the Raiders... a game that the Raiders won (pure and simple), but the refs took it from them and gave it to the Pats...

Brady and the Pats are done... they'll not sniff another shot at a SB anytime in the near future... Dolphins will win the AFC East next year... Pats might get a wildcard, but they will be eliminated in the first round... honestly, i don't think the Pats will be in the playoffs... Brady is the 4th best QB in the NFL, at best... and if Peyton returns to 90% of his previous form, Brady is 5th best in the league... if that!

and to the guy who said the 49ers are looking for a QB... WTF???

Ice4Blood says:
02/08/12 11:53PM
if we are gonna talk "if's"... how about IF any one of the 3 obvious pass interference calls against the Pats were not ignored by the refs, the Welker drop wouldn't have ever even come into play...

so fucking ridiculous to suggest that one play was somehow the difference between a win or a loss, without taking anything else into consideration...

Ice4Blood says:
02/09/12 10:36PM
seriously cracks me up that anybody thinks the Pats will be a threat to do anything this year... this is the reason sportsbooks find it so easy to make money... nobody ever learns shit from the past! that team will be lucky to make the playoffs... personally, i'm betting against it!

Very strange that Bellichek would win the coin toss and decide to kick off to the Gmen in a stadium with no wind or noticeable field advantage. For me that was the single biggest reason the Patriots lost. After kicking off in the first half the Giants were able to control the game for the first 30 minutes.

Had Patriots decided to receive might have been a totally different ball game. One thing is clear the safety would have never happened.

Regardless, the Giants are full measure for the victory. They earned it by making fewer mistakes and more plays.

they need a ground game.  they could have ran out that whole 4th qtr if they wanted to.
