UFC 91 is just around the corner and sportsbook odds are already up. If you are an online betting sharp and you are still evaluating your Lesnar vs Couture pick, here’s is a bio of both fighters to give you some insight before you plan your bet online.

Brock Lesnar
Age: 31
Born: Webster, South Dakota

Brock Lesnar’s Mixed Martial Arts roots date back all the way to high school where he was a wrestling stud. He finished his senior year 33-0 and his impeccable record earned him a scholarship at Minnesota University. Lesnar quickly became the NCAA Wrestling Champ. Given his wrestling prowess, he caught the eye of the World Wrestling Federation and spent a number of years that. After that, he decided to try out for an NFL roster spot, but fell short.

Lesnar got into MMA in 2007 with K-1 Grand Prix and pummeled his first contestant, Min Soo Kim. The referee had to stop the fight in just over one minute. Very quickly, Lesnar then moved to UFC and although he lost his first fight by submission, he bounced back with an impressive decision win over Heath Herring.

Lesnar may have only had three MMA fights but he has looked impressive for someone who is for the most part, a rookie. His upcoming fight with Randy Couture will really be a barometer for where he’s at in the sport.

Brock Lesnar’s Last 3 Fights
Win By Unanimous Decision – Heath Herring
First-round Loss – Frank Mir
First-round Win – Min Soo Kim

Randy Couture
Age: 45
Born: Everett, Washington

Randy Couture was also a NCAA wrestler but unlike Lesnar, he was never the NCAA Champion. But while Couture may have been short on success there, he’s had plenty in UFC. Couture joined UFC in 1997 and has been fighting in the Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight classes ever since. Couture has had a number of signature wins in his career, including wins over Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz.

Couture has also been surrounded by plenty of controversy, including retirements, resignations and feuds with UFC. But even so, in September 2008, Couture agreed to yet another three-fight contract with UFC. Even at age 45, Couture, a two-time UFC light heavyweight champion and Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Famer, is still extremely dangerous.

Randy Couture’s Last 3 Fights
Third-round Win – Gabriel Gonzaga
Win By Unanimous Decision – Tim Sylvia
Second-round Loss – Chuck Liddell

UFC 91

At UFC 91, the battle between Lesnar vs Couture will be a classic sports matchup of the young up-and-comer versus the savvy veteran. These types of matchups are always tantalizing, especially for those who bet online, so make sure you get some action in at your sportsbook.
