Super Bowl odds on for the 43rd version of the game have been up for just over a week now but the super bowl betting line has moved very little. The line opened at -7, quickly dropped to -6.5, then climbed back up to seven and has held steady since.

The fact that the Steelers are favored is not a surprise. As far as public perception of both squads goes, the Steelers are the public team while the Cardinals are the team that the public seems to doubt.

The Cardinals have been doubted all season long and essentially made the playoffs because they feasted off of a feeble division. They have proven to be a weak road team outside of two contests in Carolina, and a lot of people wonder if their ugly side will surface in the Super Bowl.

Even so, their dismantling of the Philadelphia Eagles was a surprise and the public has seemingly favored the Cardinals on the super bowl betting line as more of the action has fallen with them, and not the publicly recognized product of the Steelers.

With the line sitting at seven, the public play is the Cardinals while the sharp money is on the Steelers.
