The steelers vs cardinals betting line for this Sunday’s Super Bowl is largely dependent on defense, as many in the online betting community believe Pittsburgh’s top-ranked unit has the upper hand over Arizona’s high-scoring offense. Here is a look at some of the defensive props offered for super bowl betting players.

Total Sacks

Both teams have racked up seven sacks during this postseason, but the Steelers have played one less game. However, Pittsburgh was second in the league in sacks, and the Steelers line in this category is an over/under of 2.5. The Steelers are favored at -130 to go over, but the Cardinals line is -135 to go over two sacks, which they should manage as the Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger holds onto the ball for a long time, behind a below-average offensive line.

Individual Sacks

Super bowl odds for this category are heavily favored at -400 for no players to register two or more unassisted sacks. Pittsburgh’s duo of Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison and Lamar Woodley combined for 27.5 sacks, and another five so far in two postseason games, including four by Woodley. The Cardinals will not be able to contain both of these monsters all day.

Turnovers

The Cardinals are favored to commit more turnovers at -160 and in the regular season, they had 30 turnovers to the Steelers’ 25. In the postseason, Pittsburgh has forced six turnovers in two games, while the Cardinals have forced 12 in three games, including six against Carolina. If the Cardinals can get pressure on Roethlisberger, the Super bowl betting underdog in this category could come away with the win.
