The Tampa Bay Rays travel to L.A. to take on the streaking Angels who have been about as good as any team in MLB since the all-star break.  The Angels are coming off of a split against the rival Texas Rangers and will look to win two in a row when they send pitcher Ervin Santana to the mound.  Santana has had a terrible 2009 by his standards with a 4 and 6 record, a 7.20 ERA and a 1.70 WHIP.
 
The Rays counter Santana with pitcher David Price.  Price has been better than Santana but not by much.  His ERA of 4.91 and WHIP of 1.58 has led to a 5 and 4 record.

Santana has won 4 out of 5 games overall but he’s given up runs.  His teammates are terrific at protecting him with the ability to score a lot of runs themselves.  In Santana’s last four games the scores have been 8 to 5, 1 to 10, 11 to 5 and 9 to 5.
 
The Angels should get to David Price, but Santana will give up his runs as well.  Because of that, the best bet on this game is the over.
