Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (-12)
(O/U) 200
Time: 7:00 PM ET
Cleveland comes into the matchup versus the TWolves having won five straight games but had a tough time getting past the Miami Heat on Monday. Cleveland outlasted D-Wade and company 92-91 as LeBron dumped in 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers have not allowed 100 points in three straight games while the Timberwolves have topped the 100-point plateau just once in its last four contests.
Minnesota have been bad straight up lately but have gone a respectable 6-4 ATS over the last 10 games. Still, they average just 97.0 points per game while allowing 100.7 per contest defensively.
Here are some
NBA Betting Trends as they relate to this matchup:
• Favorite is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
• Road team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
• Timberwolves are 1-7 ATS in the last 8 meetings.
• Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Cleveland.
• Under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings.
Al Jefferson is the only Minnesota player that averages over 15 points per game and statistics like those will get any team a loss more often than not.
If I were Rambis, the coach of the TWolves, I’d tell the guys on the bench to bring out a pad of paper and a pen so they can take notes on what a winner looks like.
Minnesota has absolutely no clue how to play ‘team’ basketball and the Cavaliers will expose all of their deficiencies as they cruise to an easy SU victory and moneyline cover tonight.
I also like the Under to play out tonight but take the TWolves to cover.
