Damon D Breaks Down Super Bowl XLV Prop Be

By Tim Furious

Super Bowl XLV prop bets galore await your nervous and excited fingertips at BetUS, and Damon D uses his forum at BetCenter to help you wade through the myriad of betting delights. Before he helps you make some picks, he’s got a bone to pick.

Check out who Damon is kind of (sort of) (not really) feuding with these days:

http://video.betus.com/betcenter/super-bowl-betting-the-top-props-betcenter-episode-21.html

Now I love homers as much as the next guy, and I’ve always said that if you have a soap box, you should just use it. Super Bowl XLV isn’t about Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, Damon’s Patriots, the other teams not in the Super Bowl or anything else for the sports betting community.

It’s about making money.

The Super Bowl has always generated the most action of any single game in online sports betting for the simple reason that it creates more prop bets than any other game. The game itself always generates a ton of action because – well – it’s the Super Bowl. But the other reason cash starts flowing in every direction is because of the ... [More]

BetCenter Tickles Your NFL Betting Fancies For Week 13

By Tim Furious

Ever wondered what a 6-foot sandwich filled with awesome actually sounds like? Well fasten that bib around your neck because Damon Durante is back to toast up another episode of BetCenter for your viewing pleasure. I hope you’re hungry…for some betting tips!

http://video.betus.com/betcenter/nfl-sportsbooks-bc.html

One of the ideas that Damon and I both aggressively push week in and week out is that great teams don’t necessarily make great bets. Case in point, are the Buffalo Bills and St. Louis Rams. Now, the Bills have easily been one of the mainstays in the laughing stock division of the NFL, but in the last month of football they haven’t lost any of their betting investors any money. In fact, Buffalo is 4-0-1 ATS in their past 5 games regardless of their pitiful record.

Yes Stevie Johnson, this is how he does ya’. You may be dropping game winning touchdown passes, but your team is also dropping a deuce on anybody that’s dumb enough to bet against you.  That, unfortunately, has included myself.

The St. Louis Rams are just 5-6 SU, but as Damon points out, they’re also a league leader in sports betting with a record of 8-3 ATS. That by and large means that they’re exceeding expectations and you can credit Sam Bradford for that.

Speaking of young... [More]

Inside the Lines – Kenyon Rasheed Locked & Loaded on Chargers-Colts

Kenyon Rasheed is back for another edition of Inside the Lines, and this time he’s flying solo. Looks like whomever was supposed to be his special guest has left him in the dust, which is exactly who Peyton Manning and Philip Rivers must feel on their injury depleted teams. Kenyon breaks down the prime time showdown in his Game of the Week picks.

Check it out, folks:

http://video.betus.com/inside-the-lines/nfl-betting-pick-betuscoms-game-the-week-itl-e112.html

Everyone is making a big deal about Philip Rivers chasing Dan Marino’s record for total yards in a season. He’s on pace, which shouldn’t surprise anyone because this guy has always been a passing yards machine. While he’s a great quarterback, Rivers ability to sling massive yards through the air might be the only similarity he ends up sharing with Marino.

If Rivers continues with the San Diego Chargers the way they’ve been built, he may never win a Super Bowl either.

Perhaps it’s unfair to compare Rivers to Marino in that respect, but let’s also keep his career in perspective. Getting to the playoffs is truly what the regular season is all about, and you can ask any NFL Hall of Famer if they’d trade their lifetime achievements in for a Super Bowl Ring. Ten-out-of-ten woul... [More]

BetCenter Returns This Week…With A Masturbating Orangutan?

By Tim Furious

No I’m not referring to the host of BetCenter, Damon Durante, but I’m referring to how we all feel after getting lambasted by this 2010 NFL betting season. Nobody is feeling the pain more than Damon as he drags his knuckles through the most confusing season we’ve had in nearly a decade.

Wade Phillips is gone. Channing Crowder is an idiot. The Cleveland Browns upended the New England Patriots and Damon’s world is on fire as he brings us another episode of BetCenter to prep you for all the NFL Week 10 betting action you can get your hands on. Check him out below:

http://video.betus.com/betcenter/sports-betting-betcenter-boxing.html

One thing that Damon and I discuss week in and week out is how to measure the ATS records of some teams. For example, the Indianapolis Colts are 5-2-1 ATS this season leading the AFC in sports betting, but the surprising Detroit Lions are chugging ahead of the pack at 7-1 ATS in the NFC. The Cowboys, meanwhile, are the worst sports betting team in all of football at 1-7 ATS. What does t... [More]

Inside The Lines Sits Down With Willie Roaf For Game of the Week!

By Tim Furious

The Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders have been so pitiful over the past few years that we’ve forgotten that they have one of the best rivalries in sports. The 2010 NFL betting season has been a corner turner for both teams, and now this weekend’s tilt between the two finally as some consequences for the AFC West.

That’s why Kenyon Rasheed has found nobody better than former Kansas City Chief, Willie Roaf to discuss the rebirth of the rivalry. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Roaf, he is an 11-time Pro Bowler after being selected eighth overall in the 1993 NFL Draft. He played for 9 years with the New Orleans Saints before closing out his career with three more seasons as a member of the Chiefs. In a word – he was “Nasty”.

http://video.betus.com/inside-the-lines/nfl-betting-pick-week-9-itl-e82.html

It’s not easy for any of us to digest the idea of the Oakland Raiders being any good. They haven’t had a winning record since they went to the Super Bowl and were crushed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2003. They’ve been committed to sucking more than they’ve been committed to excellence.

Things have been different this s... [More]

BetCenter Episode 7 Is Here – The “End of the Road” for Favre?

By Tim Furious

Another BetCenter episode is on BetFlix to pummel your face with all the need-to-knows in the NFL betting business. Damon Durante trades in his usual ball cap for a Romosexual style beret. Oddly, it suits him. Watch the douche canoe himself right here:

http://video.betus.com/betcenter/sports-betting-DamonD.html

Damon tackles the issue of violence and head shots in the NFL by touching on the way I destroyed him in our fantasy football matchup this weekend. The amount of points scored this past weekend was amazing as a fan and a fantasy football meat head, but Damon failed to mention that I dragged him through the fantasy mud with Darren McFadden and Kenny Brittanica – An Encyclopedia of Playmaking…on my freaking bench!

Now, I know the last thing you want to hear about is a guy’s fantasy football weekend so let’s get back to NFL betting. The thing about a lot of touchdowns and points in the league is that it makes chasing OVERS  way more fun than usual. Damon touches on why the new league rules are a good thing for us, especially since oddsmakers are naturally hesita... [More]

NLF Betting Preview – Denver, San Francisco Take NFL To Wembley Stadium

NLF Betting Preview – Denver, San Francisco Take NFL To Wembley Stadium
By Tim Furious

If Roger Goddell is trying to grow the NFL brand internationally, he might want to re-think his plan to send an NFL betting matchup between a team like the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers to Wembley Stadium this weekend. That’s right, we’re deploying two of the worst teams in the league to London, England this weekend to showcase America’s great game.

So to make this NFL betting preview worth reading for you gambling types, we’re doing this…wait for it…Cockney English styles!

First off, you have to have your loaf of bread up your jam roll if you’re going to bet your bread and honey on David Carr. The former first round pick has been as taters as blind mice in NFL betting throughout his career.

Alex Smith, who began the season as the starter, probably won’t make the trip to see the NFL in London as he recovers from a sprained shoulder that will keep him on the sidelines for at least two more weeks. The two-and-eight of the Niners has fallen straight in to the pits, and their NFL betting supporters are Hank Marvin for a big win.

San Francisco is just 1-6 SU this season and have fallen in to the bread and butter with a 3-4 ATS record. This may be a hard Strawber... [More]

BetFlix Update – “Inside The Lines” Breaks Down Minnesota-Dallas!

Everyone is scrambling to find a hint at what to do in the mega matchup for two NFC contenders this weekend when the Dallas Cowboys take their sorry butts down to Minnesota to face off against the Vikings. Who would’ve thought that both of these stacked teams would be starting out the season 1-3 SU? Not these guys:

http://video.betus.com/inside-the-lines/itl-e52-locked-and-loaded-nfl-picks.html

To say that the Dallas Cowboys have been dreadful this season is an understatement. Yet, that’s what happens when you have the time tested, sideways leadership of Wade Phillips and Tony Romo at the helm. The Cowboys are not only 1-4 SU in their past 5 games, they’re 1-4 ATS as well.

You can’t just blame the offense for being lackluster in Dallas either. The defense has allowed 21.8 points per game, even though they’re ranked 12th in both passing yards and rushing yards allowed. To put it simply – numbers and names don’t seem to matter this with team because they flat out stink.

The Vikings are tight -1.5 favorites in this game, but everything about this team has changed with the Randy Moss acquisition. As Damon Durante breaks down, the Vikings lost a game against the Jets that was extremely winnable and Moss looked relatively in sync considering he had three whole days to learn the offense.

But which Vikings team are you betting on? Are you wagering on the ... [More]

BetFlix – The Lord of Loudmouth Tosses Watermelons in BetCenter, Episode 4!

Damon Durante, your resident Lord of Loudmouth, is back to yell at you from your own desktop screens in BetCenter, Episode 4. This week, Damon D breaks down everything you need to ingest in to your brain for the upcoming NFL weekend, while also handing out a brand new award. Look out, ladies and gentlemen, because Damon has some watermelons to toss around:

http://video.betus.com/betcenter/betcenter-season-1-episode-4.html

The inaugural Watermelon to your Face Award is bestowed upon Damon’s favorite new players that I couldn’t care less about. You’ll have to hit the link above to see who he dishes it out too, but don’t be surprised since he’s a freaking Patriots fan.

Damon’s done a great job tutoring the general public on the basic principles of sports betting while he sits on BetCenter’s infamous sports couch, but this week he ups the ante and advances you in to the territory of teaser bets.

If you take the line the house gives you, you’re automatically taking the standard juice of around -110, meaning you’re basically betting $11 to win $10 (10% juice). That’s a standard commission no matter where you throw your money around, and the reason why people watch the line all week to see if it’s dropping, rising or moving sideways.

But what happens when you miss the chance to take the sports betting line where you want it? If you’ve been in this game for a... [More]

Locked and Loaded E2.3

Gary Payton and Kenyon Rasheed are back with another episode of locked and loaded. They break down their two locked and loaded picks for week three of the 2010 NFL season.

Link to Video

This week Gary’s Locked and Loaded game of the week is an AFC North divisional tilt between the Cleveland Browns who are in Baltimore to take on the Ravens. The current NFL betting line on this game favors the Ravens by 10½ points.

Gary mentions how the Ravens struggled in week 2 in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and the how their opponent Cleveland are still struggling at quarterback, despite bringing in Jake Delhomme to run the offense.

Kenyon gives his impression of the game and points attributes the Ravens struggles in week two to the loss of Ed Reed and the team’s lack of quality cornerbacks.

“Ed Reed is gone…I know Ray Lewis gets a lot of credit for running (Baltimore’s) defense but Ed Reed flat out makes plays, he’s always around the ball.” Rasheed continues, “They don’t have any cornerbacks, when I look at Baltimore I don’t see a secondary that can take this team to the next level.” He goes on to say that when the offense isn’t playing well it puts too much pressure on the defense to win games.

Payton makes a bold prediction, picking the Ravens to win a low scoring game in a battle of field goals. GP’s final has the Raven’s winning 12-6.

The... [More]
