The Divisional Playoffs are right around the corner, and if you need someone to steer you in the right direction than BetCenter’s host Damon Durante is here to hold your hand and guide you through the darkness. Of course, he sits back to reflect on the weekend that was and who will ever forget these two precious words: BEAST MODE.

More after the break!

I’ve always referred to Marshawn Lynch as the ugliest man in football, which is why it was so surprising that he put together the sexiest run in the playoffs that I can remember. Not only did he unleash every trick in the Madden video game playbook, while rocking the Saints in the fourth quarter…his run caused a freaking earthquake.

Lynch and the Seahawks will have to have plenty of magic in their back pockets this coming weekend when they battle the Chicago Bears in the Divisional Playoff round as double-digit dogs yet again. Just as there’s a rule in NFL betting that you “don’t bet against the Seahawks at home”, there’s another one that says “don’t bet on the Seahawks on the road”.

As Damon points out, the Seahawks went just 2-4 ATS on the road this year, but one of those victories came at Soldier Field against the Chicago Bears. If you think Lynch and the Seahawks can burn down the NFC once again, then go right ahead. But Damon and I are sticking with the old mantra that you stay away from the Seahawks on the road in NFL betting. The only thing that could lure me in to changing my mind is – you guessed it – beast mode.

Damon drops some knowledge bombs on the rest of the Divisional Playoff round, like the little nugget that Pittsburgh has covered in their past 8 games during January. You read that right: 8-0 ATS in the month of January. That’s pivotal considering that everyone and their mother is leaning on Baltimore to upset the injury riddled Steelers, who stand at home as -3.0 favorites.

What else can you say about the Jets-Patriots tilt that Rex Ryan hasn’t already. The wordsmith of a coach continues to take pressure off his young quarterback – Mark Sanchez – by engaging in a war of words with his playoff opposition. The reason? It’s simple. Sanchez is perhaps the worst quarterback remaining in the playoffs and his 62.4 quarterback rating, along with his very shallow experience, is why the Patriots are walking in to Gillette as heavy favorites against their bitter AFC rival.

The Lord of Loudmouth also tosses out his Lock of the Week, where he decides whether to ride Atlanta’s terrific home record…or stick with his preseason NFC Championship pick and the Packers. Check out the video at BetFlix!
