Wow. Is there any other game I could care less about? Ok, maybe Kansas-Jacksonville, but this game is a stinker! Seattle is getting a huge line to cover against a Lions team that couldn’t even get past St. Louis last week. The Lions are, however are 6-3 ATS in their last 9 road games because the oddsmakers insist on leveraging huge betting spreads against them. I don’t blame them, but Seattle isn’t exactly a money maker in the betting market.

Matt Hasselbeck’s return was supposed to be a healing factor for the woeful Seahawks, but even Matt can’t get this team turned around. They’re 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and just 2-5 SU this season. With just 19.3 points per game, I wonder if T.J. Houshmandzadeh regrets signing in Seattle?

The Lions are still unsure about Calvin Johnson, whose knee is taking a peculiarly long time to recover. Matt Stafford was brutal in the loss to St. Louis, completing 14-of-33 passes for 168 yards, an interception and a 46.0 passer rating. On the road, the Lions are a joke. I mean if they can’t even beat the pitiful Rams at Ford Field, what the hell are they going to do on the other side of the country in Seattle?

Detroit Lions (1-6) vs. Seattle Seahawks (2-5)

Sunday, November 8th --- Qwest Field, Seattle --- 4:05pm EST

NFL Betting Line: Seattle -10 (42)

Weather reports indicate that Seattle is going to get rain. Surprising, I know. So don’t expect this game to hit the OVER any time soon. The Seahawks are far from good, but they show a knack for beating up on bad teams. They’ve skunked Jacksonville and St. Louis this season in their only two wins and hung tough against an overrated Chicago team.

Bet Seattle just so you have an offhand interest in this game. I’m sure your viewing time can be better spent elsewhere. Detroit’s offense won’t get off the ground at all, and Seattle can mortify the already depressed Lions fans with a big spread victory while they decimate Detroit. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a score of 24-0 in this one.

Furious Free Pick: Seattle -10 (UNDER)
