The Minnesota Vikings, (5-4, 3-6 ATS, 6-3 O/U) have won two consecutive games in the BetUS Sportsbook and four of five overall.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, (6-3, 5-4 ATS, 4-5 O/U) also won their last time out and have won three of four coming into this NFC showdown.

Both teams will look to maintain their winning ways when they battle at Raymond James Stadium in this matchup on Sunday.

The Vikings squeaked by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, winning 28-27 at home, but failed to cover the spread for NFL Sports betting buffs as 2.5-point home favorites in the BetUS Sportsbook.

Quarterback Gus Frerotte completed just 15 of 28 passes for 151 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions but Minnesota overcame his miscues to win largely because of elusive running back Adrian Peterson.

Peterson rushed for a season-high 192 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries, scoring the go-ahead touchdown on a beautiful 29-yard run with 2:22 remaining.

"I can't compare him to anybody," Vikings quarterback Gus Frerotte said. "I mean, the guy is just incredible."

Peterson’s rushing yardage has increased in four straight games.

"Somewhere he's going to bust out on you," coach Brad Childress said after Peterson became the first player this season to reach 1,000 rushing yards.

The well-rested Buccaneers had a bye in Week 10 but are coming off a close 30-27 overtime win on Nov. 2 as quarterback Jeff Garcia completed 31 of 43 passes for 339 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Wide receiver Antonio Bryant caught eight passes for 115 yards and one touchdown in the victory. However, the Bucs know they will have to stop Peterson to win this contest.

"We've got to double our efforts this week," Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden told the Bucs' official Web site. "(Peterson) is really something. No disrespect to anybody else, but this guy's really something. ... I know our guys are eager for this challenge."

Here is a look at the key trends for each team, followed by my in-depth analysis and NFL Free Picks.

The Vikings are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a bye week.

The Vikings are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games after allowing less than 150 yards passing in their previous game.

The Buccaneers are 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 games in Week 11.

The Buccaneers are 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

The Over is 11-1-1 in Vikings last 13 games following a bye week.

The Under is 5-1 in Buccaneers last 6 vs. a team with a winning record.

The Over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Tampa Bay.

The Home team is 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings.

The Over is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.

NFL Odds

Minnesota Vikings +3½ -110

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3½ -110

Over 38½ -110

Under 38½ -110

Analysis: The Vikings are clearly picking up steam behind Peterson’s terrific efforts but quarterback Gus Frerotte is still having big problems throwing the ball. I like the Bucs’ stout run defense to keep Peterson from running too wild while narrowly covering the spread against the offensively-challenged Vikings.

Take the Bucs to cover narrowly and the Over NFL sports betting fanatics.

NFL Free Picks: Tampa Bay 24 Minnesota 17
