NFL Week 12 Action - 49’ers at Dallas

The kick-off time listed for this game says 1:00 pm but the Cowboys usually play in the afternoon.  Football betting fans should check the kick-off time on Saturday just to be sure.  This is a strange rivalry as nobody can forget the 1981 game between these two teams when Dwight Clark caught that Joe Montana pass in the back of the end zone signaling the start of the 49’ers dynasty.

The 49’ers proved to have some spunk last week as they decimated the St. Louis Rams.  Coach Mike Singletary has definitely improved this team and the mobility of new quarterback Shaun Hill is a welcome change to what was a stagnant offense.  The 49’ers are still awful straight-up at 3 and 7 and against the BetUS online wagering spread at 4 and 6.

The Dallas Cowboys bounced back big time in their game against the Washington Redskins this past Sunday night.  Tony Romo makes a huge difference for this team.  He has definitely earned the right to no longer be called Mr. Jessica Simpson.  The guy is a flat out baller.  He gives this team confidence and it was on display in D.C.  But can he keep the good times rolling?  The Cowboys are only 4 and 6, exactly the same as the 49’ers, against the BetUS online wagering spread.

Here are the BetUS online sports betting odds for this game.

Kick-off:  11/23/2008 1:00 pm est.

San Francisco 49’ers                           + 10 – 110                     + 400                O  46  - 110

Dallas Cowboys                                   - 10  - 110                     - 500                 U  46  - 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game.

The San Francisco 49’er are 3 and 8 against the spread in their last 11 road games.

The Over is 5 and 1 in the San Francisco 49’er last 6 games on grass.

The Dallas Cowboys are 1 and 4 against the spread in their last 5 games on grass.

The Under is 4 and 1 in the Dallas Cowboys last 5 games on grass.

Because of the BetUS online betting spread this game is very difficult to handicap.  The Cowboys hardly ever cover against the spread but this Cowboys team is much different than the one that was playing even two weeks ago.

Tony Romo is that much of a difference maker.  The ‘Boys defense looked terrific last Sunday night, but the 49’ers are much more creative.  Still, the BetUS total of 46 is a lot of points.

I had to take some time figuring this game out but I believe I’ve settled onto the best online football bet to make.  I’m going to have to go under in this game.  The Cowboys could easily put up close to thirty points, but I’m not sold on that 49’ers offense just yet.

I’ll be making an online NFL bet on the total between the Cowboys and 49’ers, currently at 46 points, to go under.
