Week 13 NFL Wagering - Manning, Colts take on QB-less Browns

The Indianapolis Colts have started to really get it going this past month.  After starting out the season slowly, the Colts are now all of a sudden 7 and 4 straight-up.  But their record against the BetUS online wagering spread still isn’t all that good at 5 and 6.  The Colts have gotten their offense to click and their defense to play well enough for sports betting fans to at least consider an online bet on this team.  They aren’t dominating teams but they are winning.  That might be enough for this game.

The Cleveland Browns are a sharp contrast to the Indianapolis Colts.  There were high expectations for this team going into the 2008 – 2009 NFL Season, but nothing has panned out for the Browns.  They are 4 and 7 straight-up and there’s no doubt that Romeo Crenell will be looking for a job at the end of the season.  Surprisingly, even with their terrible straight-up record the Cleveland Browns are 6 and 5 against the BetUS online betting spread.

Here are the BetUS online betting odds for this game.

Indianapolis Colts                              - 6  - 110                      O  45  - 110

Cleveland Browns                              + 6  - 110                     U  45  - 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game.

The Indianapolis Colts are 4 and 2 against the spread in their last 6 games on the road.

The Over is 4 and 2 in the Indianapolis Colts last 6 games on the road.

The Cleveland Browns are 2 and 4 against the spread in their last 6 games at home.

The Over is 3 and 3 in the Cleveland Browns last 6 games at home.

There isn’t a whole lot to like about the Browns in this game.  They can stay with teams early and they can score but the Colts are playing at a very, very high level right now.

Usually, I would take the home team and the points, but I really can’t because Cleveland has been so inconsistent at home against the BetUS online betting spread.  The Browns just aren’t a very good team.  I’m convinced.

Because of that, it makes sense to go with the Colts in this game.  Sure, they aren’t as dominant as they have been but they can definitely beat the Browns by a touchdown.

That’s the way I’m going.  I’ll be making an online bet on the Indianapolis Colts to cover the 6 points spread in this game.
