What's your Guess on the Line vs Nova

Thursday night official selections:

Under 47 Southern Miss/South Carolina -- I like to look at returning starters week 1 and with each team returning at least 7 defensive starters from good defenses, I think that's a recipe for an under. This is shades of the NC State/South Carolina game that opened up the season either last year or two years ago. Southern Miss has 3 returning offensive starters which should mean they will struggle offensively.

Utah Moneyline -- I think the Panthers are overrated...I really do. I think the Utes take care of business in this game. They have eight returning starters on an offense that was pretty potent last season. What does Pittsburgh have offensively outside of Dion Lewis?

USC/Hawaii Over 54 -- I think that the Trojans absolutely rain down points on Hawaii. The Rainbows arent in the same class as USC. The Trojans are going to be focused on setting an example out of Hawaii. Despite no bowl in their future, I think they will do great things this season. Starting with a Hawaii team returning just 12 starters.

Alright folks....It's time for Temple to take the field. I've seen the spread at four for this one. At first glance, you've gotta take the Owls but there's some things that concern me. Nova is the defending FCS champion who wants to get off to a good start. Villanova's offense has weapons that some FBS teams would love to have. Szceur is a very good wideout. Last year Temple's defense chose not to cover him. There was a lot of work in the offseason to Temple's woeful secondary so im hoping for improvement there.

The strength of their defense is in the front line. Adrian Robinson and Muhammed Wilkinson are studs. Bar none...top 25 in their position in the country. The run game will be non-existent for VU. Now on the offensive side of the ball for Temple Bernard Pierce gets his first crack at the Vilecats. Temple's offensive line is bigger stronger and better then VU's d-line. Chester Stewart at QB is an upgrade as well over Vaughn Charlton.

I think this is a close one. A lot's at stake. There will be a "good" crowd at this game. Temple fans have high expectations this season for a MAC title and a bowl win. There may be a little nervousness by the Owls but I think they pay Villanova back and win in a close one 27-21. Temple took their foot off the gas last year and paid for it.

Toledo +16 -- I'm on the Rockets. I just think they are a live dog in this one. Not much credit being given to these guys who have the weapons on offense to keep up.
