Jose Bautista HR Derby Winner?

It seems as though a lot of people are avoiding him this year after his poor showing in last year's HR Derby.  At least that's my impression.  I was even watching a little preview for the derby on ESPN and when they mentioned Bautista, they said something along the lines of 'forget him, he's out of the question, he struggled in this event last year'...

I'm not one to really bet on these non-sense events but I am little intrigued at taking Joey Bats for a few bucks.  Judging from what I see a sportsbooks, he's the favorite everywhere I look, yet nobody seems to really like his chances.  Everyone riding Trumbo's nutsack tonight.

Thoughts?

MLB Plays - Tuesday...

Surely I can't be as bad at baseball as i've been at basketball this season.  Seriously, thank god baseball is here because i've flat out sucked balls in the NBA this year.  Hopefully that doesn't continue with MLB, but I sure as hell wouldn't be surprised considering my string off luck and stupidity lately.

That being said...

BALTIMORE ML +198
OAKLAND -1.5 +165
SAN FRAN +119

An interesting Lakers trend...

Hey all,

I posted this a few days ago about the Lakers struggles on the road this season.  More specifically, their inability to cover spreads as road favorites of -5 or less.

So far this season the Lakers have been road favorites of -5 or less eleven times.  Unfortunately it hasn't been a pretty sight as L.A. has gone a horrid 1-9-1 ATS in those games.

But how about the Lakers as underdogs!?  I'm sure we all know that the only time L.A. is going to be an underdog, it's going to be on the road.  So far this year they've been road dogs in seven games.  They are 2-5 ATS.  Interestingly though, in the games that they were +5 or less, those are the ones they've failed to cover.  0-5 ATS.

So basically in a nut-shell, the Lakers have been pretty damn awful ATS on the road this year in these circumstances.

Lakers as road favorites of -5 or less
1-9-1 ATS

Lakers as road dogs of +5 or less
0-5 ATS

Total Record
1-14-1 ATS

GL all!

Just when you thought it was safe to take Milwaukee...

This Milwaukee @ Washington game jumped out at me while I was glancing at the lines for the games tonight.  I can't help but be intrigued in this matchup simpily due to how well the Bucks have been playing lately.

In case you are unaware, Milwaukee has vaulted has themselves from 9th in the East all the way 6th.  Not that difficult considering the teams ranked 5-9 aren't very good to begin with.  In any case, it's been a pretty damn good run.  This team has won 8 of their last 10 games, and even more impressive is the fact they've covered the spread in 8 straight games.  And how about this.  Since January 18th the Milwaukee Bucks are 19-3 ATS.  That's absolutley remarkable if you ask me.  How often do you find that level of consistancy with mediocre team like this?!

Unfortunatley for most gamblers out there, the Milwaukee Bucks aren't a team that gets much attention.  That means not many gamblers have been to cash in despite the fact that they've been hot since the end of January.  Only now are people starting to take notice and that's mostly due to the fact that the Bucks are in the playoff picture.

So what's my point in all this you ask?

As I stated earlier, you have the Bucks playing the Wizards on the second game of a back to back.  It was only Wednesday that these two teams last met up.  Milwaukee went into that game as a monsterous -10 favorite.  The finals resul... [More]

Fishy line in Magic-Raptors game

Here's an interesting thing you should consider when you look at this game between the Magic and Raptors tomorrow.

Orlando last played Toronto a few weeks ago, IN Toronto.  The game was on Sunday afternoon.  The Magic opened as -6.5 favorites and closed at -5.5.  The Magic were without Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis and Mickael Pietrus.  Toronto had a healthy lineup(healthy in the sense that all of their key players were playing).  The Magic manhandled Toronto and easily covered the spread.  Having actually been at that game, orlando HUMILATED Toronto's defense.  More so than usual.  Open jump shot after open jump shot.  3 Point after 3 Pointer.  Outplayd, outcoached... Domination.

Flash forward 4 weeks.  The Maigc are back in Toronto for another Sunday afternoon tilt.  This time Orlando is healthy!  Well not entirely. Once again Jameer Nelson is out with an injury and is expected to miss a month.  But hey, that happened last year and it didn't seem to phase the Magic very much.  So where were we... Oh yes, Magic are back in town.  Vince, Rashard, and Mickael are back.  The Magic have won four straight.  The Magic are rolling.  The Magic just beat the Celtics.  The Magic... are -3.5 favorites?!

-3.5 favorites?!  Huh?!  A team that was without Carter, Lewis and Pietrus were a bigger favorite than when they are in the lineup?  I kno... [More]

Bosh vs. Shaq

Does anyone remember last year when the Raptors played the Suns?  After the game, Chris Bosh made mention to how Shaq was hanging out in the paint all day long and wasn't getting called on it...   “He was just camping down in the lane,” Bosh said. “I mean, if they’re not calling three seconds - I thought it was a rule, but I guess not.”   To which Shaq replied...   “I heard what Chris Bosh said, and that’s strong words coming from the RuPaul of big men,” O’Neal said. “I’m going to do the same thing (in their next meeting) I did before - make him quit. Make ‘em quit and complain. It’s what I do.”   To which Bosh replied...   “I didn’t laugh or anything, it wasn’t funny,” Bosh said. “I was kind of upset with that.  “He has been around the league for awhile and I expected a lot more professionalism out of him. I thought we were cool. Whatever.”   The reason I bring this up is because the Raptors first game of the season is at home against the Cavaliers.  I'm probably reading way too much into this, but does anyone think we see an extra motivated Bosh on opening night?  He has bulked up a bit in the offseason and is being more aggresive.   Is he gonna make The Diesel eat his words opening night?... CC does math... Indiana ML!

Hey all,

Been crunchin numbers over the last little while and have been surpised by the results thus far.  The mathematical predicitons were hitting quite well in the first 3 days, and last night, had it's first so-so evening but still finished 9-6.  Neverthless, the dogs seem to be hitting quite well with the system.  Yeterday, it had both Orlando and Milwaukee to win outright.  Thursday it had Houston.  And Wednesday it had Philly.

Tonight, the system is giving me an Indiana upset over Chicago.

Other Plays:
Portland Vs. Minnesota - OVER 192.5
Oklahoma City - +10.5
