What an up and down day yesterday. I took some lumps and found myself on the wrong end of a lot of bad finishes. Either teams would fail to score at the end to give me the backdoor cover, or teams I needed shut down and allowed the backdoor to blow the cover. It was one of "those days" bettors dread, but I managed to go an even .500, so I only lost the vig going a frustrating 18-18.

Yesterday was a first for the system, the first time I finished the day more than one under; I was 2 games under thanks to that P.O.S. Utah Utes blowing a 21 point halftime lead to lose outright. I finished the day 5-7 and was sick to my stomach watching them slowly blow that game. I knew it wasn't going to be as good as the previous days, but yesterday kept going against me in four other games that could have/should have covered for me. I guess it's just the nature of the beast.

I've gone through the numbers today and found 3 of my famous ALMOST 100% locks (14 of 15), those games are:

Air Force -10, SE Mo. St. -3.5, Oakland -2.5

As for the rest of the games the system put out for me, they are as follows: No. Carolina -22, Dayton -3, Tenn. Tech +22, Iowa -23, Georgia -3, UMass -5, Holy Cross +9.5, Butler -10.5, Marquette -10, Ga. St. +6, St. Joe's -10, Michigan St. -10, South Dakota St. +15, Ill. St. -24, NC St. -11.5, South Alabama -6, E. Illinois +17.5, Loyola Marymount +12.5, Cincinnati -18, Georgia Tech -23, Marshall +19.5, Columbia -4, E. Washington -7.5, Minnesota -30, No. Illinois +18, Green Bay -13.5, Duquesne +3, Davidson -1.5, Ark. PB +18, New Mexico St. -17, UNLV -13.5, Portland St. +7, UCLA -15

In case you're wondering, yes I do put down money on all games I've listed on covers as long as my sportsbook puts out the line. Sometimes I don't play if the line isn't right, but if it's there I put my money where my mouth is and so... [More]

It was another great night for the system, going 7-3. I was actually 10-3 if you count the college bowl game total and side and a late bet on Tulane, but this is strictly for college hoops and I didn't record the Tulane BB game here on Covers so it wouldn't be fair to claim it. This brings this week's record to 40-23 (63.5%)!!!

Dec. 4th-9th / 87-53-3
Dec. 10th-16th / 30-28-1
Dec. 17th / 7-4
Dec. 18th / 9-5
Dec. 19th / 17-11

Dec. 20th / 7-3

The ALMOST 100% bet of the day came in easily with Weber St. rolling over E. Washington. I didn't find any game today that fit the criteria, so after crunching the numbers this is what I came up with for today: Southern Utah +19.5, Delaware -10.5, Western Carolina +13.5, Fordham +15.5, Florida Atlantic +32.5, South Florida -10.5, North Dakota St. -14, North Dakota -2, Colorado -18.5, Baylor -7, Utah -8, Santa Clara -21.

Looking at the numbers I don't seem to like a lot of what the system has picked out today, but who am I to argue with what's been working. I also have a couple of leans on other plays like Northwestern and Wyomi... [More]

Another good day thanks to the system, yesterday yielded a 17-11 day to finish over 60% for the third straight day, and give us a 33-20 (60.6%) record this week. The games I've been finding in the system that was hitting 100% finally took a loss yesterday. I had posted four games yesterday that fit the criteria, but North Carolina found a way to wreck it. I post those games on My Space in the blogs, so you can always check them out. I did place all 4 on a round robin, so I did make $68 on that ticket. I know I post a lot of games on here, but the end results have been fairly positive. I've had 4 days where I haven't finished above .500, and all 5 days were only one game under. The other 12 days have made a profit for me, with a combined record of 132-79-4 (59.8%).

Dec. 4th-9th / 87-53-3
Dec. 10th-16th / 30-28-1
Dec. 17th / 7-4
Dec. 18th / 9-5
Dec. 19th / 17-11

I'm still researching my winners and losers trying to find an angle or similarities inside the numbers to get a bigger edge on the books. I've done the numbers for Thursday's games, and I found one game that fits into the category of ALMOST 100% winners (thanks North Carolina), so my big play for tonight is Weber St. -6.5

Here are the other games I've worked on for tonight: LaSalle -5.5, UAB -20.5, Valparaiso -18, Michigan -24.5, Idaho +12.5, Washington -10, Utah St. -18, Portland St. -8, USC -9

I haven't seen a line on Duke/Elon or Pepperdine/Tulane yet, so if it co... [More]

Good night last night. I think the system is starting to work a little better. I found a few issues that I took a deeper look at to help eliminate some questionable games. Last night I posted that Western Kentucky was missing their 2 top scorers, and I had picked them to cover the number. Upon learning this I doubled the bet on VCU and covered, so I actually went 10-4, but being Covers doesn't let you change your pick, I'll stick to the original record posted here of 9-5 last night. I've posted about games that have been hitting almost 100% of the time. I had four last Saturday, and they all hit. I've found four more today, hopefully it stays true. These are my favorite picks today: New Mexico -4, North Carolina -5, Montana -2.5, Murray St. -2.5, last Saturday I threw all 4 on a round robin and hit, going to do the same today. Here's the other picks the system turned out today: South Carolina -9, Dayton -5, Duquesne -4.5, St. Bonaventure -20.5, Canisius +9.5, NC Wilm. -2.5, Cornell +29, Indiana -32.5, Louisville -27, UMass -1, E. Ill. +20.5, Oregon -4.5, Wright St. -7, Belmont -8.5, Tex. Arlington +14.5, Tenn. Martin -2, Tulsa +21, UMKC +16, West Virginia -11, Iowa -26, UNLV -9.5, Seattle -3.5, St. Mary's -12.5, Sac. St. -6.5.
As always, feel free to comment or add anything. This week is off to a good start, hopefully it continues today.

Dec. 4th-9th / 87-53-3

Dec. 18th / 9-5

If I could find a way to tweek the system to let me know which teams would cover the spread by half, and take a total dump the second half (Syracuse, UNLV)I would have had a banner day, but I'll settle for a 7-4 record yesterday, still turning profit. After the week is completed I'll post the total combined for the week (Mon-Sun) to keep record. There is no100% lock again like I've posted before, but I'm working the numbers to find them everyday. Here's today's picks the system has given: Furman +12, Georgia St. +3.5, Kansas -14, Purdue -15.5, Western Kentucky +17.5, Old Dominion +8, Mid. Tennessee St. -12.5, Auburn -9.5, Western Ill. -1, Wyoming -8.5, Jacksonville St. +7.5, Utah -6, Cal -13.5, UCLA -13.5

Dec. 4th-9th / 87-53-3
Dec. 10th-16th / 30-28-1
Dec. 17th - 7-4

As always, it's a work in progress. Feel free to drop a line or add anything I may be missing. GL to all!

Well, the system started out well yesterday, but sputtered in the middle games and took a few backdoor losses. Although I did finish 2 games better at the book due to different lines when I bet, for all intensive purposes I'm posting this due to the numbers on Covers. I posted yesterday about the games that have hit 100% so far using the system, and I had 4 games yesterday I posted to keep your eyes on and guess what? I put them on a 4 team round robin (3's and 4's) and banged it. They're on the blog on my profile. Today there was only a few games that looked good in the system, so I'll post those up. As always, my picks are also here on Covers so you know I'm not just talking $hit. Just trying to help everyone find a way to make some cash.

Dec. 4th / 21-7-1

Dec. 5th / 14-15

Dec. 6th / 5-2

Dec. 7th / 4-2

Dec. 8th / 37-22-2

Dec. 9th / 6-5

Dec. 10th / 0-1

Dec. 11th / 4-3

Dec. 12th / 2-3

Dec. 13th / 2-1

Dec. 14th / No Play

Dec. 15th / 20-17-1

I actually was 23-15 due to changing lines, but to be fair I'm posting my record by Cover's lines. Here's today's picks: Rutgers -6.5, James Madison -5, UMKC -3, Arkansas St. -13, Pepperdine -10.5

I don't like that the numbers are all pointing to home favorites, b... [More]

Here's the third big test with the system. So far I've found it to be successful, the bad days have only yielded being under by one game, while the others have been for profit. Last week the system was 37-22-2 by the lines on covers. I had a few different numbers at the sportsbook, but still went according to the system. Today I was nervous when the calculations came out, but after running them through the posted spreads I feel pretty good.

I had made mention earlier in the week of a trend within the numbers that has hit close to 100%, and I found four of them today: Wright St. -4, Valparaiso -5.5, Iona +2 (I'm taking them ML if I can get it), and Creighton -2.

There are 3 games I'm holding off of posting up until I can see a line movement. The calculations came up right on the spread, so if the line moves a point or two I'll pick the game : Dartmouth/Arizona St., UC Riverside/USC, and Canisius/Syracuse.

I also left 11 games off today because of discrepancies within the numbers that may give a bad read, and I've researched this enough to know to stay away from these matchups, so that brings me to the rest of the games: Detroit PK, Western Carolina +17.5, Ohio St. -23.5, Elon +8, North Carolina -16.5, Virginia Tech -17.5, UIC -9.5, Texas A&M +3.5, SMU-1, Cincinnati -12, St. Bonaventure -7, Louisville -3, Ark. Little Rock -2, VCU -7, Nebraska +13.5, UC Davis +17.5, Neb. Omaha +22.5, New Mexico St. +9, Nevada -2.5, Florida Atl. +16, Kansas -1... [More]

Damn you Cal St. Fullerton for giving up a 7-0 run in the last two minutes, and missing two free throws along with every other shot. Oh well, still finished ahead. I ran the numbers today and found nothing that matched up, so there will be no play today. I will do tomorrow's games this evening as soon as the numbers are released and post it up before 6AM PST tomorrow. I do like two of the games today, but I'm not going to start bucking the system just for action. GL today if you put in a ticket!

BTW, did I call it yesterday or what? Tennessee by at least 7, and Belmont by double digits! Lol, I thought I was destined for the 3-0 sweep.

I should have stayed away from the Depaul/Az State game like I said. Not the way I wanted the day to go, but the good thing I'm noticing is the worst I've done with the system is finishing only one game under. I'm still doing more research inside the numbers with the losses to find out if there's anything being overlooked. The only thing I've found so far is teams that over produce or under produce against the number, but that's bound to happen every now and then. I'm also compiling data on the records of teams against the system, and will post these after this weekends slate of games to see if there's any relevance, or maybe if it gives us an edge. Keep our fingers crossed!

Here's what I've got for today: Tennessee -1, Belmont -2, Cal. St. Fullerton -16.5

I wouldn't be surprised if Tennessee wins by at least 7, and Belmont by double digits. BOL everyone!

Yesterday was a tough one to swallow with Minnesota tanking the spread and Rutgers losing an early double digit lead at home, but that's the way it goes sometimes....

Today's picks are as follows:

Towson +18, Ohio State -23, Wisc. Mil. +11.5, Wisconsin -18, and Arizona State -5.

Just a side note, the system I've been working on had the Depaul/Az. St. game at a coin flip, so I went with the home team. I almost sided with Depaul, but I really should have stayed away. Also, I didn't take the Colorado/Fresno St. game either, the numbers didn't add up  to anything definitive, so I stayed away. It's a work in progress, and I'm constantly researching my wins and losses to hopefully fine tune some things. There are a few things I have found during my research (2 in particular) that have yielded almost 100% winners, which is why Santa Clara was my favorite pick last night. They don't happen often (no such situation tonight), but I'll let you know when they do. Again, it's work in progress, and so far it's been profitable. Again, good luck to all and if you have any insight or thoughts I'd love to hear it. Let's make money!
