Keeping myself honest

Going to start using my space to keep track of my picks, win or lose.  I am a rookie capper but I seem to do a decent job picking at first, but then I start reading other threads and either flip flop, out-think myself or drop the bet completely.  Looking forward to seeing how I do by choosing my bets first and posting them here to commit myself to them.

"Don't tail me bro!"

8/18:
LAA@TB: Should be a great game.  Both teams are rolling along with their eyes on the post-season.  The Angels owe the Rays some payback for a sweep early in the year.  Both pitchers are consistent lately.  TB keeps games under control at home and LAA game totals are very low inside.

Bet: Under 9.  It's 9½ at my books but the juice is -130.  I am hoping it goes to 9 for the lower juice.  If it does, i'll hit it.

Lean:  LAA.  Garland has nice numbers vs TB plus the Angels owe them some losses.

OAK@MIN: Oakland is sliding hard and the Twins are playing well, plus they get the friendly confines of home.  Duchscherer made me money when he was home early on but is a fade on the road.  Blackburn didn't have a good outing last time up vs NYY/Mussina, I think he rebounds here against the A's cold bats.  Minny's bullpen is definately better here.

Bet: MIN -124 at Matchbook.  The RL might be good.

SEA@CWS:  White Sox are clearly superior, especially right now.  M's are coughing up runs like crazy these days while the Sox are clamping down really well.  CWS wins this on bats alone.  Washburn has had improving production of late but it's all been a waste.  Buehrle has rebounded nicely from a bad outing at KC plus he has a superior record vs the M's compared to Washburn vs CWS.

Bet:  CWS -1½ RL -105 at WSEX

HOU@MIL:  Sabathia is a monster but Houston is a good team as well.  Wolf seems to be pitching decently lately but 2 of those were against the Reds and the Zito led Giants.  Still, the moneyline is royally bloated because of C.C.  Houston could beat him.  Astros bullpen is slightly better.

Bet (small):  HOU +258 at Matchbook

There, it's written on teh intertubes so it must be true.  GL!
