Now-a-days the books make a boatload of money off all the props even if they lose on the game and total they can easily come out ahead with the props.

A good example of this is 1997, nobody with half a brain lost on the game, everyone either won or pushed as the spread could be found Packers -13.5 or Pats +14.5 even +15 was available at the Circus Circus group of casinos.

Yet despite this the books still made money because of all the props which are very heavily bet.

Im assuming all this handle isnt from just side wagers.

It might very well be. But I don't doubt that big amount of money was also wagered on the Side of each SB game.

If I am not mistaken, SB in 95 and 08 heavy money was wagered on SF and Giants. Obviously, Vegas lost money.

I really think Newlins has a very very good chance in this game. Every post I see favoring the Colts is all about Manning.

OH yeah, there is one poster also that said, Newlins won't win the SB because of the name "Who Dat". What, is that poster serious? I guess, you might as well give the Lombardi trophy to the Colts, cuz no way the Saints will show up.

I know you like the Colts, but I am on the other side.

books win much less when a big dog wins ouright, as those maneylines are  heavily bet.But even if the fave wins w/ the over, they still win from all of the props.

I dont know where those numbers come from - but assuming they are accurate.....

If you look at the year 2000, the Rams were 7 over the Titans and most SB bets pushed....

Im not sure how the profit margin is so high and similar to other years - Just an observation....

The props are MONEY for vegas.

Vegas books make more money from teasers, parlays and props than side bets, i will say that.

i dont see the relation between the stats there and saying "go ahead keep pounding the colts"

because it seems that it doesnt mather if the fav covers or the underdog covers, vegas still makes money...

I find the most amazing thing there is that just a couple of years ago the NFC sent the Bears and Seahawks to the SB on consecutive years
