One thing about Tom Brady and his foot fracture

All right, this thing stinks to me.

If Brady had a stress fracture was it even mentioned during the year? This would be an injury that would be required by the league to be mentioned in the injury report each week.

Stress fractures are fractures that develop over time and heal normally with just rest. That they chose to put a pin in the thing surgically makes me think the fracture was not a "normal stress fracture"

There are two possibilities to me:

1)He had the fracture all year and Bellichek was cheating again and not mentioning it on the Injury Report each week.

2)He had it from the last game of the year and it was a more severe fracture.........that they knew would need surgery after the year.

Look, you just do not pin a new stress fracture with 6 months of rest coming up. It is lunacy, something is not right here.

When I was watching that Pats Jets game ( a game I had the over in and no Pats bet) I kept thinking Brady was going down like a sack of potatos. Whenever Ellis got near him he just crumpled for the guy. Now I know Brady is not a scrambler (see Tarkenton) but he looked like the second coming of Neil "the whack" O'Donnell. He just looked like chit the entire game (save the first two drives). It was not vintage Brady, he was not even as good as Cassell.

So here is my conspiracy theory, Brady was hurt going into the game. He did not have the mobility or accuracy that he would normally have and the loss is as much a statement of the Pats short comings as the Jets strength. Bellichek and the Pats knew it but covered it up. That is my theory, take it for what it is worth but man does it not make the Steelers look juicy tomorrow?

I saw the Steelers about in week 5 and thought, this is the team that wins the bowl, I thought the same thing when they beat the Cards a couple of years ago at around the same time in the season.

I am the worst capper on covers right now........but medically I have been pretty solid through the years, check my blog.

Steelers Roll......

His foot had nothing to do with it.
His foot has been hurt for sometime, not just for the Jets game.
even in the 45-3 stomping they gave the Jets.
The Pats scored 581 points this season and avg 32.4 pts/game

if you read the post game reports, it showed the Jets defensive scheme confused Brady.
The Jets players even said they saw his eyes get big as passing lanes he thought would be open, were not.

Jets win over the Colts was more impressive anyway.

the reports say he hurt it in the Cleveland game.
and went on to play 8 regular season games
where he beat the Jets, Indy, Pitt, Chicago and Green Bay

I can't disagree with your theory.  I never saw Brady go down so easy since Everett for the Rams went down on his phantom hits.

I want my MONEY BACK!baby

Maybe they covered it up or maybe they didn't. at this point it no longer matters. They still had a great season with the best record in the league so the foot couldn't of been that bad. Not to worry the Pats will be even stronger next year.

Bill Belicheck is notorious for manipulating the league's policies on reporting injuries... he will report Brady as having an injury every single week of the year, unless he actually DOES have an injury!

That is my deal Ice-

This needed to be reported if it was there all year and he played with it.

Hey Doxs-

Can you give me a link that he had it since week 8?

I do have to admit, Brady looked beyond confused. I have trouble believing that the Pats could be so arrogant to come into that game and feel that the Jets would not have a totally different scheme after that 45-3 shellacking. Were the Pats that unprepared?

Look, stress fractures hurt, a lot. Maybe he was juicing it all year, that is possible. If it was there since week 8 then the league needs to fine the cheater coach.

I would think a navicular stress fx that necessitated surgery immediately at the end of the season, should be on the injury report each week for all the degenerate gamblers in the world.

As an FYI- these are not automatic healers with surgery, they can be tricky boogers.
