CrazyMilkMan's NBA Tuesday

1-2 Tuesday. 4-6 so far. Got beat on both games by the hook. A lot of game available for Tuesday. Let's get it back.

I think it's a good spot to play the Celtics again now that Raging Rondo is playing his 2nd game off an injury. He may not be 100% there yet but he'll do. Boston got beat bad in their first meeting allowing the Cavaliers to get nasty with them in the fourth outscoring them 27-14 en route to a  7-point Cleveland win and cover. Boston will be on the road again but this time as a 7-point road dog instead of getting only 4-points earlier. MoWilliams will be key to the Cavaliers along with everyone performing their designated role for the team. Stats tells you that Cleveland is better in rebounding, turnovers and bench production over the Celtics but I beg to agree. I think Boston covers most areas in this stage of the season. Not to mention old teams play really well rested. My play here is the Boston Celtics -7.0. As for the total, I think it should come out pretty close. I predict almost the same pace from their first meet and go past 190 easy scoring around 42-48 points total per quarter.

If there's one good team from the west that the 76ers can handle and even hold an advantage over with is non other than the Trailblazers. The 76ers has won 6 of their last 10 games and only conceding a 2, 3 and 4 points defeat in 3 of those loses. We were on the 76ers when we got them go over the 3 game losing slide with a win against the Nets. I think we'll ... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Monday

5-2 Sunday. Nice hit with the Pacers ML. Cool luck going on for us. Here's for Monday. Since we only have one game up early better not pay much attention on this one or even think about dumping a lot of bankroll in this game. Only the second day of the week and we still have loads of games to go.

Can't really cap this game right but I'm going with Houston Rockets +9.5 instead of Dallas winning by double digits. Houston is in a bad spot going 3 games in 4 nights and may be in for a let down game after winning by a point against the Thunders. Dallas is better overall except for rebounding other than that, I like Dallas going 2-5-2 ATS at home. Going with my gut feel in this game.

What do you think fellas?

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Sunday

4-1 Saturday. We have 3 winning weeks in 4 pushing our NBA tally to 99-65-5 (60% ). Anyway, let's keep winning and on with Sunday games:

If I would have to pick a team and wager on them on any afternoon games, then I'd pick the Raptors. I don't know why but I always notice that the stars aligned by their side and get them either a cover or the SU win. I know Atlanta looked themselves their last two games and was in control of both games. I'm also aware that the Hawks is currently better on the road than they are at home. I also noticed that the Hawks matches and plays well when against the Raptors. The Toronto Raptors +1.0 play here is more of my gut play which has been hitting well as of late. No idea with the total. It's all about who controls the game. If Atlanta is in control of this game and is on its way to a 3rd win then this afternoon game will definitely go UNDER. But if it were to go OVER, Toronto is to call the tempo of the game and thrive on their fast offense.

I like the UNDER 205.5 in the Detroit game. The Knicks should still be tired and not cope with the 2nd afternoon game in a row. Detroit is rested and just had a good overall game against the Bucks. Both teams are a combined 11-6-0 over under home/road record which should say a lot but on an afternoon game and matchup shows 7 unders in 10 games. As for the side, I like Detroit -1.5 at home here. Knicks looked tired running the floor against the Hawks plus the Pistons plays well against running ... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Saturday

4-3-1 Friday. 22-9-4 for the week.

Atlanta whooped Washington and is it the time to jump on the Hawks bandwagon and bank on them covering short lines? Washington was not much of a competition for the Hawk to test their new found mettle. Washington sure came out flat looking exhausted from two over time games even getting a day-off after every game. They came out flat and shot horrendous. Atlanta starters barely played and jumped on them right on the get go and never looked back. I think this game will definitely test these boys. Remember when I keep on saying things like this team matches well or plays well against this other team? This is another example. New Yorks just plays well against the Hawks. But before you go ahead and drop one on the Knicks, don't get blinded by that 5 game streak. Sure, they are playing a lot better but those wins were against bad teams  (SAC, GSW, LAC and CHA). Knicks feeds on momentum and I believe their offense is at full speed right now. For this game, I think the best wager is the OVER 210.0. I know it looks ridiculously high for an afternoon game but thing here is that both team has always managed to score 95+ points on each other. As for the side, if you have to ask me, I'd say Atlanta Hawks +1.5. Just my gut feel. LOL.

Before you go and think that this line is a bit off, check out how the Wizards are at home and, despite the losses, they've always managed to keep up with their vis... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Friday

Will update my record later.

Cleveland at Orlando. I can't give a good read on both team and even the total. I think Orlando can blow this team out but I've seen the Cavs always trying to play hard even if they're down by a huge margin in the 2nd half. They play with good energy and their bench plays well despite the score. Orlando at home has blown out teams below 0.500 but the persistent Cavaliers will find a way to get that cover. If I'm to pick a side, I'd say the Cavaliers +11.5 or better. 193 seem to be too low. Orlando can definitely blow this team out at home but the way they are playing at the moment. I think we'll see an easy 95 points from Orlando. The question is, if the Cavs can produce 90+ points. If I were to pick, I'd say and UNDER here with the Cavs keeping up on defense with the Magic.

I'm playing the Charlotte Bobcats -3.5 over the Rockets because I think this is one game they could win (and another the next day in Milwaukee). This is because they are steadily achieving their good form in offense. They are defending well now and players' roles have been established. DJ Agustin looks to work well in Larry Brown's system and Jackson is getting his numbers. I think what we're missing is for the "Crash" to turn into "THE BEAST" but I guess we'd have to wait until January were they turned it up last season. Rockets appear to have adjusted with their injuries now and there's no team better than them (and the Warriors perhaps?) who can play better wi... [More]

OMG TNF SYSTEM PLAYS !!1!11

Did the number crunching, star gazing, bird watching, octopus hunting, coin tossing system strategies for you guys! It's very successful system and it's 72-10 overall. Oh crap, that was the Bulls' best record. I refined the system and did a lot of number changing and it should be very very very successful now.

Detroit +6.5
Tossed a random penny from my pocket and turned out to pick Detroit 4 of 5 times!
Had a Magic 8-Ball to work its magic and answered that Detroit covers the spread 3 of 5 times.
To get a more accurate result, I asked a Talking Yoda toy if Detroit +6.5 will cover. It answered "The force is strong on this one", "Yes" and another "Yes".

New Orleans -3.5
Simulated Madden on PS3 thrice with the updated rosters and a close simulation of the current League standings and got a 28-15 game on the first with the Saints leading all the way. Second simulation resulted to a crazy 42-29 game that saw an two interception return and Jon Kitna getting replaced in the 3rd Quarter after getting sacked hard by Greer. Last game went 34-27, typical Saints game.
Simulated NBA 2K11 five times and CP3 managed to get two triple doubles en route to a 4 of 5 wins over the Dallas Mavericks.

Cincinnati +9.0
Played darts to determine each teams' score. Did it thrice and averaged the total. 27-31 Jets. To keep the integrity of the capping, I downed six bottles of beer and always aim at the bulls eye.Went to our local marine zoo and check... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Thursday

4-2 Wednesday. 16-6-3 for the week. Lost my write up. It sucks. I'll just whip up a fast one.

Washington Wizards +8.0. It should go down a full point by game time. Atlanta is struggling and it's great to take advantage of it. Wizards has always struggled playing against the Hawks and the last time they won was way back in January 11, 2008. Thorton and Yi will be out but Gilbert Arenas' production should be ample. Wall should be 100% by now and can straight up ball again. Washington's front court has been a revelation to them and if they can keep on improving, they're one hell of a big team. Atlanta is out of tune and shouldn't be trusted with such huge line. Actually both teams are bad and the only reason for taking the Wizards is that they can keep the game within covering distance. The last time Washington was blown out was against two elite teams (Boston and Orlando) and New York (Wizards were outscored 18-31 in the 4th).

The only thing that worries me before I jump on the Los Angeles Clippers -3.0 is that:
They are the Clippers.Let down angle.
They might get carried away with too much hype/expectation on Griffin, and...they are the Clippers.Good thing the Queens are just as bad. Just enough to out number the things about the Clippers.
Queens are just as bad as the Clippers.Paul Westphal loves to rotate players and can't get anything working.Tyreke has to decide with his game.Too much congestion in the F position with little minutes to go around for ... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Wednesday

7-3-1 today. 12-4-3 for the week. Starting early again.

Home and home series usually ends up with a split. Charlotte looked flat and uninterested in the first up till they made a run for it in the second. The momentum should be there but I think Knicks follows this one up with another close contest. Look for this game to have a bit of  a slower pace than the game in New York. It should be end borderline near the set total. Taking the New York Knicks +5.5 and the UNDER 206.5.

Good spot to fade the 76ers here. Coming from a fast paced game in DC and going the extra mile in OT and playing back to back on the road is a good angle. Philly is also bad on the road going 1-7 after the Wizards game. The only risk here is how washed up vet in Peja will fit in the rotation and if defensive guard Bayless can yield positive result. Raptors will have a lot of time in Jose Calderon's hands and will definitely be a good thing since he ranks 6 in Assist/TO ratio at 3.43. Don't go too crazy on the Raptors here. The only real edge they have here over the 76ers is that they are rested and the 76ers may be fatigued in some way. Last season, both teams matched well with each other. Shooting is almost always the same, rebounding and even turnovers. I think it's because the 76ers plays running teams well. Last night, I believed the Pacers will have a huge let down game here after beating the Super Friends, and I'm on to that angle against the Raptors here tonight. A team on a 3 g... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Tuesday

4-0-1 so far. Hornets pending. Anyway, Atlanta -1.5 looks like a sucker bet any way I look at it. But considering that they won only 2 of their last 5 and lost 5 of its last 7 games, I'm beginning to think that they should've been the dog in this situation. The last time we saw something like this was against the Pacers and they are made a 1.5 point road fave. I think we're getting a treat here. Atlanta Hawks -1.5 is the play. Get this, the Hawks are actually living off on Road games (5-1) than at home (0-7 ATS, 3-4 SU). That's what's up. On the road they are given fishy short lines like the one in Indiana, -3 against Cleveland, -3.5 against the 76ers and as a 2.5 road dog against Memphis. New Jersey has been on the road for a week and will be checking their first game back home before leaving for Boston the next day. This situation makes it feel less of a home game for the Nets. don't worry about the minutes the Hawks starters' logged last night. They barely played so I guess they'll be fired up for tonight (well they don't have any fire in them the last 7 games). I think we'll see a game with the same pace like the ORL@SAS game tonight. Atlanta is shooting close to 50% on the road and averages close to 105ppg. Nets now plays real basketball as compared to last year and will have no problem getting up to 80-90 points against a team that allows 47% in FG. I'll step back on the OVER 190 for a bit. I think it still has a good posibility that this game ends on an 85-83 type of s... [More]

DENVER +9.5
OVER 50

Did a couple of capping strategies for this game:
  • Tossed a random penny from my pocket and turned out to pick Denver 3 of 5 times and OVER 5 of 5 times.
  • Asked a Talking Yoda toy if Denver +9.5 will cover. It aswered No twice and yes twice. Said that the force is not to strong on this one in my last attempt. It was neutral on thrice on the OVER but finally said yes twice.
  • Had a Magic 8-Ball to work its thing. Said Denver does not cover 4 of 5 and then said that Over will hit 3 of 5 times.
  • Simulated Madden on PS3 five times with the updated rosters and the total averages 35-27 with the Chargers winning. First two games the Broncos kept it close but still lost by a FG in OT and on an Extra Point in regulation. 3rd game was classic Denver where they were out done 24-3 in the first quarter alone. Fourth game Broncos got lucky and limited the Chargers to only one FG in the 2nd half. Fifth one was a close one with Broncos coming from behind inside the 2-minute mark.
  • Went to our local marine zoo and checked out their local version of fortune telling octopus. They call him Randy the Octopus and it went with the Chargers (No over under for the Octopus).

So according to my system plays it's the Broncos and Over.

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Monday

2-0 so far in the NBA. Thought I'd start crunching stats early. Anyway, still got the Warriors pending and will probably play in the 2nd half.

It's like ages since I saw an Orlando game total go over. A little exaggeration there but they've been a 4-7 o/u team and had 4 unders in their last 5 games. What's interesting is that all of those totals are more or less 10 points below the set total for the game. Think the Books aren't giving them any respect for their defense? Anyway, Spurs looked revitalized with RJ's offensive game and everyone just knows their role in this team already. It's like they're just going through the motion night in - night out. With both teams allowing only 43% FG the 196 point total looks pretty high already. My play here is the OVER 196.0. Orlando and Spurs will have a shoot out here and I see one team scoring 100 and the other 90 the least. So I guess 7 points to topple the total isn't too huge of a number. Despite the Spurs pushing their pace up in this season (averaging 108 ppg), Orlando's bad shooting worries me. Spurs will definitely play 1 to 1 coverage on everyone and with their size (Splitter, Blair and Duncan) they have no worries covering Dwight. I'm also not sure with Orlando's motivation. The only quality win they had was against Atlanta. Indiana gave them a run for their money and even New Jersey is able to push them deep. I hope their offense get the memo here that they haven't proven that they can beat elite teams this season. ... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Sunday

15-24-1 for the week. Wasn't able to post for Saturday game because I spilled coke on my laptop and can't get any browser working on my desktop. LOL. Now, I gotta make up for some cash to get a new mac. Anyway, That's 2-1 winning week, can't win them all (73-56-1 total). Let's start crunching Sunday games. As always, leave something for everyone to think about.

Researched it myself and dogs are covering 60% of the games while faves are winning SU 63% of the time. Now you have the Kings who's listed a 5.5-point home dog who just got off a 6-game losing hole with an unconvincing win against Jersey. Hornets on the other hand look to open a 4 game road trip in Sacramento. Hornets are still pushing for the best record to start the season contending with the Spurs who just went 11-1 couple of hours ago. Before you go on and take the hornets right away remember that dogs are hitting at an alarming rate (60%), and Sacramento has always played well against the Hornets (Sacramento has covered 9 of their last 10 matchups). New Orleans isn't a team that will blow you out. As long as you can score baskets on the other end, you can expect a close contest from start to finish but definitely won't notice that the Hornets is actually taking control of the game's pace.

The Kings are attrocious and until they figure out a.) how to rotate their guys (Jason Thompson on the 3 position? WTF?) b.) do something with their spare bigs (they have a conjestion in the 4th and 5th... [More]

Anyone noticing that dogs are hitting at an alarming rate?

Tried playing all the dogs today and 6 of them hit already. Jazz just came back from almost a double digit deficit again and looks to even win this game.

Can someone bump the thread of that guy who pointed out that if you keep on betting on the dogs this season you'll get a 60% win rate or something.

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Thursday

12-14 for the week. Getting there. Had a change of heart with the last 2 games and still end up 50/50. Anyway, here we go:

Clippers are playing 3-4 and we just saw Gordon and Griffing combine for half of the Clippers' score and still lose the game. Indiana failed miserably playing without Darren Collison and Tyler Hansbrough agaisnt the Hawks (with the fishy spread). Line's quite high at 8.5 but if the Nets can beat the Clippers by 14, I don't think the books should even give this team any respect at the moment. If only the line were a couple points below say 5 or 6 I'm definitely comfortable taking the Pacers here. Again, pitting two horrible team, we take the plus points. It will come a long way. So with that, I already shot myself in the toe and written a check for charity playing Los Angeles Clippers +8.5. HappyKane has this thing with TNT Thursday that you're suppose to play the dogs if you think they can win SU. I don't think they can win SU but I'm pretty confident they cover the spread. Pacers hasn't really proven itself in their wins.

Another 3-4 situation for the Suns. I'm taking the Orlando Magic -10.0 because Orlando definitely thrives and can win over the Suns in a running/shooting game. They should also easily out rebound the suns who doesn't have a legit player who can match with Dwight. Phoenix' starters played a little below 30 minutes last game (against the Heat) and shouldn't be bothered much with a tired legs going to this game. If Dwight can... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Wednesday

0-3 last night. 7-11 again going to the middle of the week.

Toronto Raptors +4.0 is the play here. Both teams area almost on a similar situation aside from playing the second game of a back to back schedule. I just can't weigh it. Philly is playing the first game after a long road trip and most often than not, it's when fatigue sets in and it almost feel like it's a road game. Toronto is on their last schedule of a 4 game road trip and everyone knows that the last game most often than not looks ahead to going back home. Experience tells us that both situations are good fade materials. I'm playing the Raptors because of the points and because they are better offensively. They seem to always be able to find ways to score even against teams that plays defense like the Heat, Orlando and the Bobcats (in their last 5 games).

I'm still sticking with the Good PG beats the Heat angle in the PHO@MIA game. Not to mention the points are just too good to pass up on. Phoenix Suns +9.0 definitely can keep it close against the Heat and as defensive as both teams would want to be I'm pretty confident the OVER 208.0 will hit. This is a matchup the Heat will enjoy. Both teams do not have legit Centers (Miami has but they're not in the rotation). There will be a lot of scoring here with the Suns getting the best of them since they can shoot the ball a lot better and have a better bench production than the Heat. Phoenix continues playing good basketball but only enough for a cover.... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Tuesday

4-4 last night. 7-8 for the week. Still on the shady part. Hopefully we turn this around this Tuesday. Will be back in the afternoon to get on the replies and discussions.

Classic situation here. 70% of the consensus on almost every site I've seen on Atlanta. I wouldn't be too surprised. Atlanta just checked a  game slide with a win against the lowly T'Wolves and now they travel to Indiana as a 1 point road dog. Don't over react just yet. Earlier in the season, Atlanta games always saw short lines. They were -3.5 against lowly Philadelphia and -3 against Cleveland still I'm still bothered why they are a point dog? Is it because the books don't respect them yet and see them struggling in their form going to this game? I don't know man but 3 of 4 times you see one in the season you take the one with the least consensus on them so I'm on the Indiana Pacers -1.0 and will be watching the line closely.

You gotta love it when Houston is short in players and their key players like Yao and Brooks are out. Houston for some reason still gets the job done with their remaining players. I guess that says a lot from their coach. Anyway, don't sleep out on the Rockets. They are Rick Adelman's Sacramento Kings all over again. He has his scorer in Martin. His hard-nosed guard in Lowry. A power forward who can score, rebound and pass the ball. Brad Miller again. And a defensive player who can drain triples in Battier. What worries me here is that this home game will feel more... CrazyMilkMan's NBA Monday

Will most likely end up 3-4 Sunday. Anyway, we had a nice win on the Cats against the Jazz a day ago and the Wolves last night. The Wolves will be on a 3 games in 4 nights situation against Charlotte who is still winless at home. I think they can nab their first win here but not the cover. 9.5 is a bit too much for an offense who have only managed three out of their ten games to score more than 95 points. In the instance they did score more than 95 they are 0-3. Wolves, even playing back to back and on the road would still have their legs to keep within' covering distance against the Cats. The Wolves averages an 11 point difference in their games but they are all against offensive teams. Given that the Cats isn't a very strong offensive team I'm positive that the Wolves will be within covering distance so I'm taking the Minnesota Timberwolves +9.5. Don't bother with the ML since other than Washington, Charlotte seem to outplay the wolves as well. Considering the fatigue from their main options in Beasley and Love, the Cats should be able to dictate the tempo and proceed with an UNDER 196.5. I think the line is 12 points too many for this game.

I'm not so sure what's wrong with the Magic right now but I'll be fading them tonight. Grizzlies is yet another young team who doesn't know how to close out games. Giving them 8.5 points will definitely come along way against playoff contenders like the Magic. Orlando has only blown out the Nets (and done only in the 2nd half), W... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Saturday

5-3 Saturday with Clippers ML still pending. 17-15 for the week. Finally crawled our way back to the plus side.

Orlando was looking ahead this game so they lost to Toronto. Kidding. The Magic will be playing their 3rd game in 4 nights on the road with such a small line. Jersey was a 16.5 point dog in Florida just a week ago and now we see a 10 point swing with Murphy and Terrence most likely out of tomorrow's match up. Looks too easy to take the Magic right? Throw in some old stats/trend that Magic wins a blow out or something after losing two in a row or something like that. I have no idea why the line is set so low but I don't think the books gives away free money. With the line being weird and screaming "take the magic" I'm going with the New Jersey Nets +6.5 you guys may want to hold out for a bit. It should leap to 7 or 8 by game time. By then, throw a little ML just in case. No play on the total, but I like the UNDER 191.

Okay, here's another play of the day or the week when I see one. The Jazz is closing their eastern road trip in Charlotte and aren't they coming from 3 come from behind wins against highly touted team in MIA, ORL and ATL. We won the ML last night and I was hoping the line would be around 4 or 5 so we'd get a little more from the ML. Right now, the play is on the Cats +1.5 (better hold out for a bit as it's pretty sure to move). Fatigue should set in and the last game of a long road trip will and shall have its effect on the road team. Pla... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Friday

Starting a thread early for Friday. 12-12 for the week so far. Lakeshow and Bean town still pending.

Playing Orlando -13.5 for the same reasoning as oddsbuster's post. And throw in the fact that Toronto is allowing 50% FG% in their last 5 games. 45.5 on the road. If you let a team like Orlando to shoot that high of a percentage then it will be all over before the half. The only thing that stops me from unloading a lot on the Magic is that they may let the Raptors back late in the game during garbage time. Oh and throw in a little on the OVER 202.5. It should really go way over.

Indiana shot their hearts out against Denver and I personally would fade that team the next game thinking that the law of averages would get to them. Thing here is that the moment Yao went down and Brooks will be out for a month Houston gets to rely on their bench. Promising as they come, they are yet to prove that they can make a splash right away. Indiana -4.5 is my play here. And yes, I can say they're the better team. Darren Collison can definitely outplay the smaller Smith and Lowry can't get himself a basket. Kevin Martin averages 24.1 ppg but that's all he can do. He gets to play Dunleavy who can easily match his output. Scola is a stud and a 20/10 guy but the Pacers have guys like Hibbert, McRoberts, and Hansbrough who can clog the middle and block shots. This leaves a Danny Granger who tips the scale for a Pacers cover.

I played against them when they visited the Heat say... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Thursday

5-2 Wednesday that pushes us back to 12-12. Anyway, pretty good games coming up. Think the Heat were looking forward to this game so they lost it to the Jazz? Nah. The Jazz pretty much just balled against anyone and everyone. Check out their performance last night against the Magic.

First up of the TNT double header is the rematch of the opener. Heat giving up 6.5 points to the visiting Celtics team. I think everyone else will be on this one as well. It will be interesting to see how the line will move. The play here is Boston Celtics +6.5. My guess is that the Heat is easily dismantled by good point guard running a proven/working system. Rondo is a beat and definitely will lead the Celtics to another victory here. Deron did it, Paul did and Rondo will definitely do it again. Celtics also do not have any problem covering the super friends. They rarely doubled up on them during the play offs and never did in the opener. I'm pretty sure this will drag down to the wire like the season opener and so the total is hardly readable. The only reason why a decision on the play can easily be done is that 6.5 is too much. It would be tough if it were at pick or anything less than 4. Boston gets the cover here if not win SU (but taking it on the safer side so going with the points). I think for the Heat to win, they need to get 30 a piece from LeBron and Wade.

As for the second of the double header I'm going with the Lakeshow -3.0. Lakers gets their 9th straight. Reason? The... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Wednesday

Won't be around pretty much late tonight so getting a fast one during the final game. Spot on with the Heat losing out against teams with exceptional PG and an organized system.

First up, finally a game the Cats has a real chance in covering. The reason is that they are pretty much the weakness of Toronto. Toronto relies too much on perimeter shooting and the Charlotte is somewhere in the top 5 in perimeter defense at 42%. I was hoping the line would be in the 196-198 area so everyone can jump on the UNDER here. Cats are like the Bucks, they set up the right defense but is really bad in offensive efficiency. Raps plays the Cats well but that's because they have Bosh who averages somewhere around 24ppg/15rpg against them. I like the UNDER 195 more than the Charlotte ML here.

I'm playing the Bucks +6.5 here even if the Hawks are looking to check their two game slide. This should be an interesting game going way back when the Bucks pushed them in the finals. Bucks just had an easy one against the Knicks, who came out flat, last night and all starters played 30 or less minutes except for Mbah a Moute who went for 35. Not much of an angle here to play against the Bucks other than they are 1-3 on the road and back to back. I'm going back to the match up last season and both team seem to have the exact same guys that went 7 games in the playoffs and played 3 close games with each other in the regular season. I think I like the Bucks' chances here to cover thinking that... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Tuesday

2-4 Monday. Lost all close games with the Cats, Mavs and Bulls. I don't know who to hate. Noah/Deng for missing those FTs or George Karl who drew up a quick 2 with 1 sec left. LOL. Or me for not taking the ML route. That's 5-6 for the week. Looks like it's going to be a long grind.

I'm getting a close game vibe in the game between CLE@NJN. The 2-0 start for them was a thing of a past now going 0-4 right away. I don't blame them. They went twice over Miami and one time against Orlando. The only other winnable game is that Charlotte game which they let the Cats back in and win in the final quarter. They should've been 3-3 at best. Talking about 3-3, Cleveland only had two decent games against Atlanta and maybe count the Sactotown who started hot. Other than that, they weren't impressive against the bottom feeders themselves. The two day break should give a lot of time for Avery to do something about Lopez going 14-50 in FG the last 3 games. Look for Devin Harris to continue leading the team and hopefully get some real contribution from Morrow who looked like the man he was before in the game against Miami. Cavs has things going for them as well. MoWill has been their man winning 2 games in all 3 that he suited up. Plus the two game momentum should help their mindset. My play here is the Nets -2.5 over the Cavs. Nets plays the Cavs pretty well during the LeBron era. The main reason is that Brook Lopez seem to enjoy his time in the paint and has always grabbed around 12 or... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Monday

Will go 3-2 if Lakers hit. Not bad to start the new week. Let's all start early with Monday game.

The first thing that I noticed is the total. 216.5 for two teams who only knows how to score is pretty normal but throw in factors like the Warriors playing 3 days in 4 nights and playing back to back plus a rested Raptors team means you'll see a lot running and scoring. Over 216.5 should hit comfortably and I suggest you take them now since they'll get so much love in the afternoon and hop up to even 218. I'm cautious in taking the Warriors in this spot not that they're fatigued with the game but I'm thinking that the Raptors may surprise us since they are a lot better at home (comparing current home-road stats). Anyway, I'm playing the better team here and it's definitely the Warriors +2. I'm debating whether the line is a trap or not since the Raptors only played NYK and CLE at home so they may not be enough sample to assume that they are something at home. Also, throw in the little stat that the Warriors are 0-2 on the road.

I wasn't expecting the Cats to get their first win against the Nets 3 games back. I was however expecting them to get it here against the revitalized Spurs team. Charlotte Bobcats +3/ML for me here. Larry Brown coached teams are almost always successful at home against the Spurs. They may not be the same team that won by 16 points way back in January but I believe they got their form back after 6 games now. The low line may also suggests tha... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Saturday

Thought starting early for Saturday discussion. Hope you guys had a better Friday. I think I split my games. Well you can't win them all. Anyway, I won't be around all night and all day tomorrow so I'm making a fast one here.

First up, I really can't cap this Cavs team. One day they're good, the other they'll just curl up and let the game go out of hand. The total is rather sharp IMO. Cavs barely gave anyone more than 30+ minutes in that win same as with Washington. Young teams could barely get fatigue this early in the season and so you'd expect the pace to be as fast as the way the played in their respective games. Washington getting Arenas back is more like a +4 to 6 points in their total so they get their much needed scoring from him. I think his game goes OVER 192.0 with both teams barely playing any defense against each other. Do remember guys that Byron Scott will be fully utilizing the Cavs' guards to keep on pushing the pace of the game.

Both teams playing 3 in 4 games and b2b. Cats will be playing for only the second time at home. I'll make this quick, I don't think my Cats will win or cover tonight. They cover and win against the Spurs the next game. Anyway, Nelson can exploit DJ easily with his size and strength. Both starters went to 35+ minutes in their respective games and so their legs should be an issue here. Since Orlando has a deeper bench, I give them more plus here. Orlando Magic -7.0 or bust.

Think you'd give the super friends anothe... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Friday

5-0 Thursday. Hit both dogs and the ML. Crazy night! That's like 25-10 for the week and we have two more days to keep on killing the man! Huge cards tonight so let's get started.

Anyone still high on that Orlando Kool Aide? Let's get it! Orlando -16! And that's about it. Oh and OVER 195 for a little more pocket money.

Philly has always played the Cavs close and that was during the LeBron era. Now that James is gone and MoWill is still trying to fit into the regular season Phillies -5.5 is as good as it get. Again, their lack of a real player in the 5 position makes them less competitive but playing at home and a healthy looking Elton Brand should do the trick. Also, keep on fading the Cavs until they are with Jamison and have 3 or 4 games with the team. Easy opportunity on the UNDER 187.5 since both teams doesn't really have any consistent offense yet.

Bucks have bested the Pacers in all games last season. What worries me here is that the Bucks may want to take it easy hosting the Hornets the next day and that Danny Granger turns into a beast whenever they face the Bucks. I think everything turns around now that they have extra muscles in Maggette in their bench plus Bogut is coming along really well with no injury problems. Anyway, don't let the Bucks' record fool you. They've already played the Hornets and Boston team close and had a horrible shooting night against the Blazers who's been gunning at the moment. I think it's safe to say that the Bucks +2 ... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Thursday

7-4 Wednesday.  20-10 for the week and we've been knocking ML plays left and right. Anyway, Thursday has never been my favorite day betting on the NBA since it's when crazy stuff happens most of the time. Two games for tomorrow so let's start discussing it:

What's good with the Knicks right now is that they are somehow keeping games close. Their last 3 games are rather above average. Winning against a really bad Toronto team (atleast defensively, they have no problem scoring at the moment), almost winning against Portland if they didn't imploded the last minute and catching Boston on a b2b and keeping it close. Bulls on the other hand is money at home. Coming back from a deficit as high as 21 points and still covering the spread as a 9.5-point home fave at the final buzzer and getting a good game from Deng en route to a win against Portland. One thing that jumps at me is that, man, this game is going OVER 203 points. Both teams will be rested and the Knicks' offensive train is pretty much ready to run again. Bulls has been getting a lot of contributions from everybody and it should happen again on this Knicks team who only started learning a little defense at the moment. I'm not really a fan of throwing ML wagers here and there but man Knicks ML is worth the risk. Of course, I'm on the Knicks +7.0 and it could go down to 6 or 6.5 by game time. With a showdown in Boston the next day for the Bulls, I think they look past this Knicks team and not bother to cover the ... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Wednesday

7-3 Tuesday. That's a 13-6 for the week so far. Anyway, let's get on with Wednesday.

My Cats has been horrible this season. And as I've doubted them to make it to the playoffs unless they get a real PG, I believe they'd continue to suck till they can get someone who can run Brown's system. This makes it hard to cap totals for Cats game but sides ain't a problem. New Jersey has creamed the Cats twice last season and they are thrice as bad last year than they are now. With no real Center and Point guard at the moment, I don't see the Bobcats competing much against a Nets team who has improved since last season. Looking for New Jersey's continuous success so taking the Nets -1.5 here. If you'd ask me about totals, I'd give you the OVER because a.) Nets now know how to score buckets and b.) Cats will always be running if you let DJ run your offense.

Wow, how close was that from getting the 76ers' first win? Anyway, I think they continue to suck until they can get a Hawes to play well in the 5 position, stop Jrue from being a TO machine and get on a working starting 5 at the end of November. Indiana looks like they're on the right track with Hibbert showing that he's a promising player and Dunleavy/Granger looking really healthy. I'm all on Indiana ML here (that is if they are still +2 by game time). The only thing that worries me is that when we see a home-and-home setup usually no one sweeps/get swept on that kind of schedule. Both teams doesn't have a look ahead g... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Tuesday

2-2 Monday. Portland was a mess and Sacto-town almost sneaked one in. Anyway, here's for Tuesday:

I'm still high on Orlando Kool Aide and taking them at -6.5. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be on them so I suggest grab that 6.5 now or see it go up to 7 or 7.5 by game time. Also taking the OVER 200.5 since Knicks barely upgraded its so called "defense". Anyway, moving on to another game.

I believe people are expecting the line to be in this area for Miami games. Why wouldn't it be set that way? After the first game mishap, the Super Friends went on to win games by 10, 26 and 23. I was supposed to back the T'Wolves in this spot but after seeing them play the Grizzlies, they are horrendous offensively and against a Heat team who'll be far more efficient running up and down the court at a tempo faster than the one in their game against Memphis, Wolves will definitely get left behind. I believe Miami holds them to somewhere near 80 points and still cover the spread. As much as I'd love to get on that total I think it's a pretty sharp call since it could easily blow past 190 or under it by a point or two. With Bosh, easily canceling Kevin Love out and BronBron exhausting Beasley, I don't see why the Heat do not cover -16 here. Heat by 26. There I've said it.

Don't kid yourself if you think that a 3 games in 4 nights scenario won't have much effect on the legs of the players. Portland looks pretty worn out against the Bulls and man they were so unlucky Den... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's NBA Monday

4-1 Sunday. Moving on.

Kings could have gone 3-0 easily if they were able to hold on to win the one in New Jersey. Then again, none were impressive winning only by one against the lowly Wolves and by three against a Cavaliers team off a back to back game. Anyway, I'm on the Sacramento -4.0 only because they'll be a tough matchup for the Raptors plus they are playing their first home game. Toronto is rather thin in the front court and with Sacto-town beefed themselves in that department, they'd have it easy down low. The only thing I'm worried is that they barely have any perimeter defense which Toronto could be really deadly. If they get it going, guys like Kleiza, Bargnani and Barbosa could easily torch them from the field.

Before playing anything, it's best to watch for the line movement in this game. I think the line is just about right here. Again, like my writeup in the push we got from that Detroit game, Chicago is no longer the team we saw last year though Noah is definitely an Allstar now. And Portland on the other hand has looked good as long as they stay healthy. The important thing I saw is that Andre Miller is finally able to play with Roy and run the Portland offense well. Aldridge and Camby cancels out Noah and Roy cancels out Rose's so the key here would be for Andre Miller and Batum to continue his terrific start of the season. With that I'm on Portland ML.

The last game of November 1 should definitely be a play on the Spurs -7.5 and the... [More]
