Wasn't able to post my plays Wednesday. I got to post the Blazers and losing another one to injury is just one hella bad luck. Here's what I think on the games Thursday:
Chicago Bulls +3.5
You gotta love the Bulls when they have their Enforcer back in Tyrus Thomas. I also like the move making Kirk as the starting point and moving John Salmons back to the back up unit. I believe he'll warm up and stroke better coming off the bench than as a starter. I'm still not buying Detroit even if the pieces are starting to come together. They got Tayshaun and Rip back for two games now but I don't see them meshing well yet. Detroit has been terrible shooting the rock. Stuckey and Rip jacks too much shot and not drain half or even a third of it. With both struggling team meeting up. I'm giving the Bulls winners of its last two the edge here with Thomas back and the change in the starting lineup really making a difference out there.
Houston Rockets +1
Watching this line! If we see even a slight move to favor the Mavericks I'm banging this one. I have no idea why the line is set this way nor do I have any good reason to back the Rockets. In fact, I like the Mavs to keep on rolling but since we have this what I think is a shady line. I'm backing the team listed 38% in consensus.
San Antonio Spurs -7.5
You gotta love how the Spurs are performing as of late. They have won 3 in a row (ATS/SU) and 8 of its last 10 (7-3 ATS). Spurs performing like they u... [More]

3-2 Monday. Running pretty late so giving out this for now:
Los Angeles Lakers -11.5
Both teams playing back to back games with the Warriors on an unusual two game winning streak. Both teams also playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. I like this setup with the Lakers losing to the Suns by 15 tonight and losing by the same amount last Christmas day at home to the Cavs. Warriors, again, just got their 2nd back to back win this season. Earlier they won back to back against Portland and Dallas (and was on a 6-game ATS winning streak) they lost the next one by 14. Last season, they lost 4 of 6 games when they won 2 in a row. Lakers has yet to lose 2 in a row at home this season. The last time they lost 2 in a row at home was when they played the Grizzlies without Ariza, Bynum and Gasol (and only lost the game by 3 despite Kobe's 53-point effort last 03/28/08). Artest or No-Artest, I'm still liking the Lakeshow here. Lazy Kobe will most likely play despite that Elbow injury he's listed with.

2-4 Sunday. The milk's really sour during that day. Anyway, here we go TUESDAAAY!!
Charlotte Bobcats -4.5
You gotta love both teams' ATS stat. I give them much props for staying with the Thunders on the road. Anyway, Bucks are pretty much back to earth after that amazing start. Cats are well just getting as much W as they can at least in their home court. This should be an interesting game since they in Milwaukee earlier in November. Even without Chandler, we'll see the Cats roll here with Gerald Wallace still beastin' it up! LOL.
Oklahoma City Thunders -6
Nets are still on my not to bet on list and IMO Yi's return doesn't really make them better. Nets goes on to lose its 10th in a row against the Thunders who are owning those "winnable" games. Don't really have much on why not bet on the Thunders. They're flat out better than the Nets.
Memphis Grizzlies -6
9-5 home team against a 5-11 road team. Taking the road team here who has bested above .500 teams and has won 4 of its last 5 home games. Wizards has only won 2 of its last 5 games on the road and has struggled against teams with good front court. Again, you gotta love the Grizzlies' front court. Memphis' starter are playing sound basketball at home. If his were the other way around I may have to reconsider before siding the Grizzlies. Wizards on the road and Grizzlies at home with the Grizz as faves? I'd take them all day (they are 5-3 ATS when faves and a perfect 5-0 ATS when se... [More]

2-3 on Xmas. Hope you guys had a better night than I have. That brings us to a 12-8 for the week. Here's for Saturday:
Memphis Grizzlies +8
Memphis is stroking for real. They have won 7 of their last 10 and Zach Randolph's stat is legit! IMO 8 points is too much for a team who can ball. Grizzlies are big and can really bang the post which the Mavs need so badly. I got this feeling that this game will be played back and court and perhaps be won by less than 6 points. The only thing that scares me is that Dallas might be looking out to avenge that 16-point loss in Memphis earlier this month. Dallas also have a look ahead game playing in Denver the next day to boot.
Atlanta Hawks -7
Atlanta owns this team and with no real point guard to run such talented front court, IMO this team is lost. Atlanta is playing the last of a 4 game road trip but the holiday should give them the much needed time to recover from the fatigue. I also like the fact that the Hawks were downed by the Nuggets by 20 without Billups. This hawks team got the swag and you know they'll be back the next game. They've only lost back to back one time this season. In the other loses they've bounced back the next game and covered the spread. Looking for that same swag playing Indiana.
Houston Rockets -8.5
Like my last Houston writeup I've stressed that the reason the Rockets are in this level is because they've won all the "winnable" games in their schedule. To win by 9 ... [More]

5-2 Tuesday. That's a 10-5 record since Monday. Here's what I think Wednesday:Houston Rockets +9
I backed them on that ATS loss to Utah and I'm backing them again. Tough spot for the Rockets here playing on a terrible schedule. They just went on a 4 games in 5 nights which they got out with a 3-1 ATS/SU record. Two days of rest later they host the Clip show and clamped down on Defense on the 4th to get the W. Now they'll be playing the 6th game in 9 nights and is now on their way to Dwight's house. Houston is what the Magic team need to mimic in order to make a serious run to the top. Houston swept the Magic men 2-0 last season and that's when I think them Magic are pretty legit (Turk > VC). This game is one toughie but I see this game going like the Jazz game. Rockets get to be the pesky and relentless team they are, stick up to the Magic team and cover the spread. New Jersey Nets -3
What the hell is wrong with this line? Didn't we just saw how Boston and Atlanta buried this guys? Playing the 3rd game in 4 nights in New Jersey they are set as 3-point road dog? I think something's up in this game. No real favorable stat to back any side here as both teams flat out suck. Season series shows that home team takes the cake here. Just tossed a coin and it went with the Nets four of five times. Should say a lot.

Sixers are a great bet on Tuesday and here's why:
Philadelphia 76ers +3
A toss coin IMO. With AI out and Marreese Speights back in the mix, I like the 76ers here against the struggling Wizards. Eddie Jordan is a huge factor to the Wizards' playoff run and him running the 76ers now should be a critical factor. Although they've lost by a point in their last meeting I still say him in that 76ers corner should be more like Don Nelson pulling an upset years back with his Warriors' against his former Dallas team. Wizards also coming off a 4 game trip which if you look at them last season, they haven't won the home game after a 4 or more road trip. They also travel to Milwaukee the next day just in case they look ahead.
Indiana Pacers +13
...and I hope I can get more than 13. Don't bother with the back to back setup as they are 4-2 ATS on b2b. Anyway, Boston has only covered 4 of 9 games when set as a 10 or more point favorite. Pacers have been double digit road dogs and covered both (against the Spurs and Orlando). They were 6-2 ATS when set as a double digit dogs as well. Celts get a couple of days off before going on a long road trip 9-4 at home against a 3-10 road team on 3-4 setup with their last on as b2bs should explain that huge spread.
New York Knicks -5.5
I was waiting for this one but after seeing how the Bulls layed egg in the 2nd half it reminded me of the Jazz when they played against the Lakers and had a wonderful 1st half u... [More]

Giants need to take advantage of that Packer loss and stay in the mix for the Playoff with a win. I'm seeing Giants -1 everywhere and that's an absolute pickem. IMO, this part of the season is when you value how much the team needs the next W and I weigh the Giants heavier than the Skins' case. As for the total, I'm liking the OVER 43
here. I don't see no reason why both teams don't get to 20+ points.
New York Giants -1

Horrible week almost ended with on a break even spot. Had a 1-2-1 Sunday. Not a really good start but let's turn things around Monday night! Here's what I think:
Milwaukee Bucks +2.5 @ Indiana Pacers
Bucks are as competitive as ever and them losing by an average of 3 points in their last 4 games should say a lot as to why this line is this low. Also keep in mind that they were up against Portland, Lakers, Cavs and the ATS Machine Sacramento in that 4 games. The only problem that bothers me is that Milwaukee still is that 2-9 road team. Indiana on the other hand isn't that much of a homer only getting 6-6 flat card at home. Both sucks ATS-wise after a day of rest with the Bucks at 5-7 and the Pacers 3-9. Trend between the two team goes to show that the home team gets the job but the Bucks owns them ATS-wise. I'm liking the Bucks because they are more of a complete team than the Pacers in this spot. Pacers really need a capable go to guy like Granger who they can swing it to when in trouble. Bucks are just too persistent even on the road. Indiana, if ever they would, has Boston to look ahead to while the Bucks plays the Wizards at home the next day as well.
Orlando Magic -7.5
The Jazz dominated the Cats at home a day ago while the Magic struggled offensively and defensively against the two games straight now (against Portland and Miami). Orlando loves to play the higher .500 teams and the crowd love to watch them do it at home. No doubt this te... [More]

Went 5-3 Friday night. That should give us a 12-9-4 week. A little on the profit side but still on the plus side. Here's what I think for Saturday:Gerald "The Beast" Wallace -2.5
Good to catch the Jazz on a 3 in 4 nights. Jazz starters barely playing any serious minutes in that blowout game by the Hawks. Jazz is playing like crap on the road and you know how Gerald Wallace and his boys are beatin' at home. With that, you all know were are definitely ballin' with Coach Brown!

Hit that Indiana and OVER last Thursday Night Football and we'll get one in again Saturday Night! Don't get this bet wrong. I'm really confident them Saints get this down tonight but I don't see the Cowboys trailing way behind. Saints has only covered 2 of their 7 games (1 of 3 home games) when they are set as a 9-point favorite or more. In Dallas' 5 defeats they lost by 2 against the Giants, 7 against the then streaking Denver, 10 against the Packers, 7 against the Giants again and 3 against the Chargers. What concerns me here is that Dallas has lost all 3 games when they were dogs last season and again lost 2 of the 3 games in the 07-08 season not to mention that they suck playing in December with these cards:
09-10 0-2 SU | 0-2 ATS
08-09 1-3 SU | 1-3 ATS
07-08 2-2 SU | 0-4 ATS
Seriously I'm quite torn with the game line. I'm looking at sites with 7.5 but covers got them up to 9. If I could find somewhere with that 9 points I think I like the Idea of getting Saints-7.5 and Cowgirls+9 for kicks. Or probably even do a Parlay of Saints ML with Orlando ML(NBA) or some other team.
Right now the Milk Money goes to this play. See you guys in the morning for the Full game Side play and Total.

Went 5-1-2 Wednesday with 2 more pending. So far we're at a 7-4-3 week. Let's start capping:
New York Knicks +2.5 / ML
If it weren't for the Cats pulling one on them (which they did against the Pacers Wednesday night as well) Knicks should've been on a 5 game winning streak. Anyway, this team looks pretty decent in those wins and they are actually playing good ball. Chicago's demise continues as they struggle to find a consistent scorer within them. Defense and rebounding has not been a problem for the young bulls but definitely they need consistency from Deng and Rose. Salmons also need to wake up and bring his offensive game on. As much as I'd like to see the Bulls turn the 8-15 record they have around I think it's smart to put my money on a decent 12-12 ats team against a 6-15-2 (3-6-2 at home) team. Knicks, if ever they will be looking ahead, will be playing the Clippers at home the next day. Bottom line, I'm playing the Knicks because they come pretty solid against a team who only finds consistency in inconsistency. Also looking at a possible UNDER play.
Orlando Magic -4
Like rod_steel's post, I'll be on the Magic in all their December games because of a very favorable schedule. Anyway, I believe this won't be another nail biter like the 11/25/09 game with Wade pulling the Heat through. Magic balls the Heat on the get go and this shouldn't even be a serious contest. Orlando is on a bad schedule playing 3 in 4. 3-2 ATS on b2b games compared... [More]

2-3-1 this week. Got a push on the sac and lakers game. Here're my views on the game. Will wrap things up in the morning. Comments are very much appreciated.
Memphis Grizzlies @ Atlanta Hawks OVER 208.5
Hawks are in a completely different level when they ball at home. Memphis is just the complete opposite on the road. Don't look for any upset here. Hawks looks like they're going to score somewhere near 110 points here. Memphis isn't bad lighting up the score board either averaging 103ppg on the road as well. Memphis actually is playing very good basketball as of late getting wins against Miami, Cleveland and Dallas. They've also covered 4 of their last 5 games and winning 3 of them SU. This should tell you something about this team's grit. Both combines for 28-19-0 ATS. Atlanta is a 10-2 O/U team at home as to Memphis' 9-4 on the road.
Indiana Pacers -3
Don't count the Pacers out yet. They are actually playing decent even without their stud Granger. At home they should feel a lot more comfortable as to the visiting Charlotte Bobcats who just staged a nice comeback against the streaking Knicks team. I'm a Cats fan but only if they are playing at home. Gerald Wallace is still a beast (love him in my fantasy team) but you can't count on the rest of them playing on the road (1-10). Indiana has beaten all the below .500 teams at home (except for New York in 11/18/09) and I don't think they'd let this opportunity for a W to pass by. The last time both te... [More]

1-1 Sunday. Boston Celtics -8
Celts are ballin' and Memphis is coming back from a one sided game against the Heat. They should fall short against the Celts playing the 3rd game in 4 nights. Grizz also plays pretty horrible on B2B going only 1-4 ATS against a 7-6 ATS on 1 day rest Boston team. They are also a 7-5 ATS road team which is a lot better than their 4-7 ATS home record. Memphis also struggles against legitimate defensive teams. Boston also takes the cake in their matchup going 2-0 against them last season playing with a hurting/injured Kevin Garnett.
Posted Sunday, December 13, 2009 06:55 PM
Looks pretty evenly matched to me. Taking the road favorite here. Oklahoma has never gotten their streak up to 3 and the Cavs should be the team to end it at 2. Cavs has yet to cover for 3 straight games and I may sound chasing but I'm looking for them to win and cover tonight. This game really look like a toss up but siding the better and more experienced team here to pull through. The only thing that is making me feel iffy here is the line movement but anyway going with....

Let me start with this one:
11/29/09 - was a 2.5-point dog at home against Phoenix and lost the game by 19
11/22/09 - was a 3.5-point dog at home against Orlando and lost the game by 8
11/01/09 - was a 5.5-point dog at home against Orlando and lost the game by 9

2-3 so far. Phoenix pending to make it a so-so 3-3 Friday card.
Washington Wizards -8
Taking the dog might actually be good to our health but hey! Indiana playing 3 games in 4 nights against a sucky Wizards team that is made an 8-point fave even after losing 3 in a row now. I don't understand this line. Indiana own them in their last 4 matchup and IMO 8 points is too much even without Granger. Wizards also haven't won by more than 8 points thrice and that is against Dallas (10/27/09), the Sucky nets, the Cavs (11/18/09) and in Miami (11/27/09). Notice that the last two wins are because of not so favorable schedule for their opponent. I think these boys in DC will get the favor tonight.
Boston Celtics -9
Chicago on a 3-4 setup coming off an OT win against the high octane Warriors. Boston has failed to cover spread of 8-points or more 8 of 11 times (please correct me here if you think I'm wrong) but them catching the Bulls on a bad spot should help them cover "huge" spread again. Gang green team to get them baby bulls tomorrow. They are the better team here anyway.
Milwaukee Bucks -3
Again, facing a team on a tight schedule. Playing the last game of a 4 game trip and playing 3-4 setup. Bucks' just tenacious at home proven with that 8-3 home card. Don't count out the bucks yet as they have a couple more runs up their tank against "good" teams (they are 1-3 SU but 2-2 ATS against teams who managed to get to the playoffs last season). Fatigu...
