Saturday Football Wagers

Keeping tab on my plays now. Last play I had was way back Thursday and only played two La Liga games. Playing one at the moment and it's up in 15 minutes.
La Liga: 2-0 (+2U)

Manchester City v Everton OVER 3.0 $2.1
Both Team to Score: YES $1.80
Manchester City will be playing Bayern in 4 days and so I expect Manchester City to play conservatively even if they field their usual XI at home to stay on the top group of the Premiership. Everton is playing well and is on top form going to this game having a 4W-1D in their last 5 games. Other than picking a side, I believe we'll be seeing both teams scoring at least a goal here and I'm leaning on the home team to nudge in the 3rd goal. A 4th goal won't hurt for the OVER but I'm comfortable here seeing an average of 3.4 goals in the last 5 ManCity game to Everton's 3.2 goal average in their last games as well.

What do you think fellas?

Central Florida at Brigham Young wagers

YTD: 25-9

2-0 last Thursday night. I hate it when it looks so easy. Two teams with bad offense. Cougars tend to run the clock more with their running and would pretty much grind out the whole game. No point taking the sides here this early. In-Play betting would be the way if you want profit via the sides. BYU wins here if UCF's offensive line doesn't hold. So far only one play is clear in this game:

Thursday Wagers

Still trying to get a formula going for soccer. I'm only used to Asian teams/leagues and still learning on "capping" other leagues. So far I notice when I play games, I always overestimate the better team and underestimate the bad ones. So far I've been unsuccessful picking winners. I've been making picks the last few days (with no money on it) just to see how it fares so far I have no luck picking primarily the top teams like Inter Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea etc... I guess wagering on Soccer isn't about those big named teams. Trying to cap out different league has been a bad idea since you will have a hard time following teams. Focusin on La Liga right now and EPL on weekends. Anyway, tell me what you guys think:

Espanyol v Getafe UNDER 2.5
Espanyol's last 5 game averages a whooping 2.6 goal all La Liga matches. Getafe averages the same but I think both teams will have a hard time finding the back of the net in the first half but get it going nearing the end of the half and in the 2nd half. Espanyol has no problem scoring when playing at home, managing to drop 2 goals on Sevilla and A.Bilbao. Getafe seem to have a more defensive approach when playing away from home. I think this game ends under 2 goals either a 1-0 or a 1-1 game.

Real Zaragoza +1, +1.5 $1.6
I think this has a much better chance to hit than getting Betis at -1.0, -1.5. Betis plays well at home and can pile up points but that means they sacrifice a lot on defense. Zaragoza i... [More]

Rams v Giants In-Game Thread!!!

Let's have another thread going to discuss in-game crap and vent from time to time of how stupid a play was or how we hate a certain player. LOL.

Playing only one tonight and that's the UNDER 44.0. Two bad teams who are missing or have a couple of players hurt. I don't see why playing a side is much better than to just let them play and hope they both suck to keep on kicking the football.

What do you guys  have?

CrazyMilkMan's EPL Saturday

Blackburn v Arsenal UNDER 2.5

Arsenal is plagued with injuries and should be sluggish from the match against Dortmund. Blackburn is in the bottom of the standings so all the more reason to claw in back into the game. They will take advantage of the Gunner's bad form and exploit chemistry issues with new players in the mix. I see Arsenal winning 1-0 or Blackburn forcing a stalemate at 0-0.

Bolton to win over Norwich City
UNDER 2.5 Goals
Got a decent price at $1.85. I see a 2-0 Bolton win here and that's on wishful thinking. Bolton will at least find the back of the net ones here and dominate the possession. Norwich lack attacking creativity and will probably be denied from time to time. The canaries will be happy with a draw here and put a constant scare on the spotty Bolton defense who had a lot of mental lapses from time to time. That should balance them out from pouring in the attack and defending.

Nice win with West Brom let's move on to France Ligue 1. I think this one merits a better look than the Inter game. PSG is approaching good form with a 4 game winning streak. What a way to keep it stroking with a win against Brestois who struggles specially playing away from home. PSG doesn't have much good pay overall but here's a way to get around it. Well, Asian Handicap are still the way to go at times. They probably win by atleast 2 here.

Norwich City vs West Bromwich

West Bromwich is way underestimated going into this game. They played well against Chelsea (1-2), played ManU close (1-2) and got beat off a last minute strike against Stoke. West Brom got real good defense and was a testament only allowing two juggernaut teams to only 2 goals a piece and (call it lucky) they were able to find the back of the net with them. Norwich has decent all around game and can pretty mcuh play toe-to-toe with West Brom. I'm giving a slight edge to West Brom, getting so much confidence in the 4-0 win in Carlington Cup.

Draw no Bet: West Brom $2.05

Los Angeles vs Colorado Rapids

I'm going to update the YTD some other time. Still up a couple of units. We had a good hit with the Friday wagers. Got my biggest hit with Leverkusen earlier. Let's hit it in MLS with more than an hour to go. Let's discuss!

Los Angeles vs Colorado Rapids
LA Galaxy will be playing to lock in their spot in the Playoffs. Galaxy is off a 2-2 draw from Sporting Kansas (the late penalty cost us the Galaxy Win). Rapids are fighting to get back in form after losing back to back matches.  No real injuries or suspension for Galaxy to be a concern except maybe for Chris Birchall. LA are playing to keep a mean streak of no losses at home and another streak of not losing since May 7 (suffering a 3-0 defeat from Portland).

LA won in the first match 3-1 but the Rapids isn't the same as they were before. Top defender Drew Moor will be out due to suspension for the visiting team. I'm waiting for Robbie Keane to be more accustomed with the team and hopefully be a huge help in this game (I see most probably lineups with him listed). I see the home team winning here with a 2-0 score. Robbie Keane and Donovan to score at any time is a good way to go. Bets on LA Galaxy-1 and the UNDER has more weight here because it's the closest to hit in my opinion.

LA Galaxy -1.0
LA Galaxy correct Score 2-0 +650
Robbie Keane to score FIRST +333
Landon Donovan to score at any time +130
UNDER 2.5, 3 $1.975

Thoughts on this parlay [Part VII]

I've hit like 6 of my last 7 parlays. And here's another one I come up with.

  • Nadal -500
  • Murray -550
  • Williams -275
  • Joker -200

I think I get the first 3 easy and will probably play a hedge on Joker-Fed match. Fed is at plus money so a lot of hedging possibilities there. The pay out is at +190 so it's almost double the wager. Any thoughts? I'm not worried about Serena against Woz. I haven't punched this in yet and I might go with Fed straight up (that's +383).

A Parlay you can't refuse!

I still have a day or two more before locking in on this one but I can't see what not to like about this parlay:

Real Madrid v Getafe (Backing  Real Madrid @ 1.09)Sociedad v Barcelona (Backing  Barcelona @ 1.16)Arsenal v Swansea (Backing  Arsenal @ 1.35)Man City v Wigan (Backing  Man City @ 1.16)Bolton v Man Utd (Backing  Man Utd @ 1.41)Barcelona v AC Milan (Backing  Barcelona @ 1.3)Chelsea v Leverkusen (Backing  Chelsea @ 1.41)Dinamo Zagreb v Real Madrid (Backing  Real Madrid @ 1.24)

Real Madrid v Getafe - I'm pretty sure Madrid gets this one playing

Sociedad v Barcelona - I'm a bit worried with this one with R.Sociedad who can keep a wall up against Barcelona but pretty much not the whole game. I see a possible 1-2 or 0-1 with Barcelona winning here. Their attacks is just unreal if they pull one here  like they did against Villareal.

Arsenal v Swansea - probably a 2 goals to 4 by Arsenal to nil. Pretty much a way to remove that bad taste off the ManU demolition.

Man City v Wigan - Man City playing at home against Wigan. What not to love? A 2 goal win here by ManCity.

Bolton v Man Utd - They trashed Arsenal. Why not Bolton?

Chelsea v Leverkusen - Hard to win against Chelsea at home right?

Dinamo Zagreb v Real Madrid - Real Madrid... [More]

Singapore S League *Thursday*

Crazy ugly game for MLS. Can't believe a team like New England dropped 4 in the first half only to end the match with a draw. Went 36-22 on +24.38u. Looking to keep it strong in the Soccer forum. Here are some S-League playin in 9 hours later. I'll make the write up short and quick since a lot of us here isn't into other smaller leagues and doesn't even have much clue. Each are played with 2 units each.

Geylang United FC v Balestier Khalsa FC
Geylang can score and has somewhat decent defense. They do play some but are more aggressive in their attacks so they are very susceptible to counters. Balestier is offensively challenged and is on a really bad form. They can score on scrappy plays but is having a hard time connecting with their plays the last few games. Geylang wins here probably 2-0 or 3-1.
Geylang -0.5, -1 $1.86
Geylang -1, -1.5 $2.4

Tampines Rovers v Tanjong Pagar United
Tampines is 2nd in the S-League playing Tanjong who's at the bottom. Tampines boast of Aleksandar Duric the 2nd in the league in goal scoring and perhaps the best defense in the league only allowing 19 goals (the least) in the league so far. The Rovers play conservative offense and will probably take their time in attacking. An easy 2-0 win. I played Tampines-2.5 just in case they get it rolling early.
Tampines -1.5, -2 $1.9
Tampines -2.5 $2.70

New England v Philadelphia *MLS*

31-20 and +17.38units so far. You gotta love this matchup. I'm quite second guessing myself because it kinda looks so easy and everyone gambling sure do know that nothing is easy. Revolution is missing McCarthy who brings the much needed fire power (though not very significant but still brings some to the table). New England's last 5 is DDLLD which is quite similar to Philadelphia's LLLDD. I still give the Union the edge here playing at home and having success earlier against the Revolution 3-0. I'm varying my unit play here since each bet here holds certain weight. I see this game ending 2-1 or 3-2 in favor of the Union. I don't see another 3-0 rubbing here.

Philadelphia $1.43 (3u)
New England Revolution +1.5 $1.2 (5u)
OVER 2.5 Goals $1.64 (1u)

World Cup Qualifying - Asia *Matchday II*

Good thing I stayed away from Brazil v Ghana game. I split my Charlton v Sheffield wagers so the bankroll is still good. I'm looking forward to this since I've been really lucky on Matchday I. Count is at 26-16 and +15.44units. On with the games:

Korea DPR (PRK) vs Tajikistan UNDER 2.5 Goals $2.02
North Korea isn't an offensive team and Tajikistan is just lucky to be in. They were almost unbreakable against Japan and still manage to get a scare in a couple of their counters. Tajikistan was unable to get anything going against an Uzbekistan team who seem to lack the same firepower in offense as them. I see this game either 1-0 in favor of North Korea or a 0-0 draw. Only playing the total here to be on the safe side since the odds for the Korea isn't good either.

Thailand v Oman UNDER 1.5 Goals $2.8
Thailand v Oman UNDER 2.5 Goals $1.61
Two bad teams but Thailand takes pride in their defense. Oman would want to keep the pressure on the home team and keep on attacking. They wouldn't want to end up a tie here having Australia next. Thailand will have to play Saudi Arabia next and they are a bad match for them. I can see either teams scoring 1 a piece and so either a 1-1 or a scoreless draw would settle it. I wouldn't risk playing either side since it really could go either way. I give a bit more edge to the home team here so playing the UNDER instead.

Singapore to win $4.4
I'm surprised with the line here. Singapore has played well against ... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's Euro Basketball - Men Wagers Day 6

Group A
Group is rather tricky. Great Britain needs to win by 55 points to get to the next round. Poland simply need to win over Great Britain to keep Turkey from advancing and that's about it. Spain and Lithuania are guaranteed so expect both teams to take it easy.

Poland -4.5
Poland was impressive in the win against Turkey and if they keep the same level of play, they'll win over Great Britain no Doubt. Momentum is also on their side winning 2 in a row and completely in control of their destiny. Total is way too high but I think both teams will try to out score each other en route to over.

Spain v Turkey
No play. Depending on what will happen to the Poland-G.B. game. If Poland loses a play on over 154.5 no doubt.

Portugal +20.5
Portugal will sneak a cover here. Lithuania will rest their players for the next round and not risk getting injured. I think Lithuania wins here simply just by going through the motions. Portugal will be playing with pride to at least salvage a win here so you know they'll be putting in effort.

Group B
Group B is set with France, Serbia and Germany. So they'll probably only play for pride on who comes out on top.

Italy -6.0
Nothing really to play for, I think Italy gets this one. I question the Italian team's heart as they play for nothing. Both teams have questionable defense and can lead to a shoot out so I'm leaning more on Italy. I'm thinking about playing the OVER here seeing 1... [More]

CrazyMilkMan's Euro Basketball - Men Wagers Day 4

12-14. Almost at breakeven. Looking to day 4. Somehow erased my writeup and so I'll try to draw one up quick for each games:

Finland v Bosnia and Herzegovina+6.5 149.5
Here's a virtual coin toss. I like Bosnia with the points here to cover. Both are evenly matched and the battle will be fought with both teams back court. Bosnia has better offensive sets but will have to watch out for the scrappy Finnish rebounding that supplied them with as much as 13.5 offensive rebounding average in two games.
The Play: Bosnia +6.5

Ukraine v Bulgaria +4.5 141.5
Ukraine managed to stay with better teams in Russia and Slovenia but will have their hands full against a Bulgarian team who almost stands as tall as they are. Both teams barely managed to crack 70 points and it would probably end up the same way. I'm expecting a close contest here with a somewhat evenly matched team. Bulgaria has the experience and Ukraine still have potential.
The Play: UNDER 141.5

Greece v Macedonia +11.5 141.0
Greece plays extremely good defense and perhaps the best in the tournament so far. Macedonia will have a hard time unlocking their defense and Bo McCalebb has to double time if they want to score a win or a cover here. Macedonia is one of the worst shooting team and will pretty much have a hard time on both ends of the court.
The Play: Greece -11.5

Slovenia v Georgia+8.5 137.0
Slovenia hasn't been impressive the last two games. Drawing close game from Uk... [More]

Thoughts on this parlay

Hit my last 3 parlays and looking for my 4th. What do you think of this one fellas? Also thanks for the comments it really made my selection better! Like yesterday getting Isner and dropping Garcia-Lopez.

Berdych v Tipsarevic (Backing  Tomas Berdych @ 1.51)
Anderson v Fish (Backing  Mardy Fish @ 1.23)
Federer v Cilic (Backing  Roger Federer @ 1.16)
Monaco v Haas (Backing  Juan Monaco @ 1.53)
Djokovic v Davydenko (Backing  Novak Djokovic @ 1.03)

The stake is at $3.46. Very good right? I'm a bit worried about Haas actually edging Monaco other than that I think I'm feeling confident with the rest (well not really but I think Fed gets pushed by Cilic but won't be enough probably go 3-2 there). Thoughts?

Scotland v Czech Republic (Sat, 3 September 22:00)

24-9 +20.47unit. USA wasn't even thinking about winning. Then again, they really don't need to. That's why it's hard to play international friendlies. Moving on to a game that has something to play for:

Correct Score: Czech Republic 1 - 0 Scotland $8.6
Goal  $2.82
UNDER 2.5 Goals $1.60
UNDER 3.5 Goals $1.21
I don't think Scotland has what it take to get a win here. They probably get a draw here at best. Czech Republic has really great chance to score a 1-0 here and that would be enough to seal it. Darren Fletcher will make a come back here but I doubt the Scottish side would get anything from him. I see him not in good form yet. Having the home crowd is a plus for them and another win means they are just a point away from Czech Republic. They need a win here or it won't look good for the host.

Michigan State -34.0

CrazyMilkMan's Euro Basketball - Men Wagers Day 3

9-12. Getting there now. Only 6 games. It's much easier to cap things now. On with Day 3 games.

France v Germany +5.5 146.5
This should be a close contest and France will be focusing a lot on Dirk. The last time I checked, he's still unstoppable. I don't think anything has changed. Both teams can score and it should easily go OVER the total. Germany has not much depth but Dirk is really making everyone play better because of the spacing he creates. Kaman looks like the player he should've been. It's interesting to see how Germany's back court will respond to Tony Parker who has been stellar for the Les Bleus. Two plays for this game but more on the OVER.
The Play: Germany +5.5 and OVER 146.5

Latvia +7.5 v Italy 153.0
Both teams will be gunning for their first win here. I like Latvia here to keep up with Italy. The so called "Italian Big Three" has carried half of Italy's production and will have to demand more from their bench. Latvia is getting enough support up to their 6th and 7th player spearheaded by prolific scorer in Janis Blums. Latvia showed that they can keep up with France and if it weren't for a 7-point first quarter could have kept it close against Serbia. Italy folded to Serbia after a waxing 1Q and was toe-to-toe against Germany in the first quarter until folding into the latter quarters. Latvia always had a strong 2nd and 3rd quarter and I expect them to play close with Italy.
The Play: Latvia +7.5

Portugal +8.5 v Poland 144.... [More]

World Cup Qualifying - Asia

Was lucky in my last 2 post going 11-4 +14.41units hitting the Barca-Villareal match hard and Coupe de la Ligue wagers. Hopefully luck stays on our side and we get in a couple more winners. Again, everything is to win 1 unit, prices that is more than $2.00 are played with 1 unit.

Uzbekistan to win $1.45
Tajikistan is lucky to have Syria disqualified thus giving them a spot in the qualifiers. I'm expecting a high scoring match here with both teams able to gun each other out. Edge to the Uzbekistan team for having the better team overall. Home soil is not an advantage here.

Iraq v Jordan UNDER 2.5 $1.60
I'm expecting a closely contested match here ending with either a 0-0. Jordan signed former Iraq coach Adnan Hamad and that may be vital in unlocking the home team's offense. Jordan at $5.60 is a good price as they are on top form at the moment and may actually have a good shot at it. Iraq had a disappointing performance against Yemen a bit sluggish in form but they are still a hard team to beat specially at home. Iraqi defense is still formidable and Jordan should take their tame to take it down.

Saudi Arabia to win $2.66
I love this price for the OVER (also at 2.66) but instead went with the away team. I predict a 1-0 to 2-0 score here with Saudi Arabia Winning. Saudi Arabia is very good in attacking team and it would be a tall task for them to get over the Oman wall looking to play more of a defensive game here. Oman has played really well at ho... [More]
