1-1 Thursday. 54-56 YTD. Friday the 13th:

Lean: Philadelphia 76ers -12.5
Still waiting for news on Hawes. I read that the 76ers are playing it safe. If they are, IMO would get him another day off since we'll only be playing a horrible Wizards on a home-and-home series and have him ready for Milwaukee instead. If Hawes plays, the play is on. 76ers is at home and playing a bad team who'll pretty much get blown by 15+ points. That's all the capping to be done here.

Charlotte Bobcats -4.0
Out of the 6 times I played the cats this season, I only managed to get 3 of the right. I think this will be the 7th and I'm pretty confident they cover. Totally fading this bad Pistons team on the road. I know they got more firepower but Cats (or any other team to that matter) plays better at home. I think this is because, at home, they shoot the three and rebound better than they are on the road. Until this Pistons team play by Lawrence Franks' ways, they aren't going to be any better than this run down expansion cats.

Lean: New Orleans/Minnesota UNDER 182.5
I'm surprised as I look at this. Hornets are an under team themselves but I have no idea the Wolves are just the same. Both teams combine for 5-14 O/U and will probably continue the trend with injuries in their team. I downgraded this to a lean because I feel the total will be pretty close to the line. I have this feeling that both team gets really close to 90ish each. Not much room for error there. As for the side, I'd rather get on the Hornets 1Q since they currently 9-1 ATS this season. Holler if you do read this part. LOL. I'm surprised noone has yet to notice this. They're like the Clippers 1Q cash cow of last season.

Lean: Milwaukee Bucks +8.5 and UNDER 184.0
I like this play. More of a gut feel than anything else. I think this is because it has the same as the Knicks-Cats matchup feel to it. The other team just matches well against the other. You could say like the Jazz-Lakers as well. Though I only put this as lean because I really don't like that 0-6 (1-5) road record they have, not to mention the Pistons even made them push hard in the second half. The UNDER looks good as well given that the Mavs dominate the pace of the game (and I think they will). Forget the time the Bucks were an UNDER team with Bogut, they have other players who can score now.

Lean: Portland Trailblazers +1.5
Blazers matches well with the Spurs. The only reason this is a lean because of the Spurs are crazy good at home. They shoot better at home (even better from beyond the arc) and plays even better defense at home. I think something's about to give with the way Houston pushed them in their last game.

Lean: New Jersey Nets +7.0
New Jersey isn't lacking in players who can go for backdoor covers. They play hard till the end and the 7-points is bit high against a team who is twice their power from last season. This is like the Cavs lean from last night. It opened at 9 and will probably drop to 6.5 by game time. I'm trying to shop around for a 7.5 and will probably play that. Anything below 7 is a no play. Nets is twice the team they were from last year as well.

Cleveland Cavaliers +10.0
Kobe isn't interested in playing this Cavaliers team (last season, Kobe scored 17 in that 60-point blow out and only 13 in a 5-point loss) and will look ahead the next day to play against the new look Clip-joint instead. You gotta give mad props to Byron Scott for turning things around for the Cavs who's now at .500. I love the Cavs on this spot, good momentum, their best player just had a career night, and the opponent is looking ahead for a bigger clash against their neighbors.

BOL.

  • Cavs-Lakers
  • Note: Try shopping around for a better line. I have this feeling that you can get a point or more better come game time.

Stop playing the fucking Cats.  They suck, ok?  You're chasing something that doesn't need to be chased.

Great analysis though, good luck tomorrow.

Yeah but Pistons suck more.

It's just you know, you got all this spot on analysis then make plays on shit teams.  When shit teams play each other only g-d knows what could happen.  You said in one of your early threads the Cats were fade material all season and now you're playing them for a 7th time.

When in reality you have enough insight to make solid plays on solid teams.  Not trying to be an ahole at all, I learn a lot from your threads, just an observation and could be the difference between hitting 60% and 50%.

the kitties have lost nine of ten.  and detroit looked reasonable last night and got stuckey back.  this is a game between two 2-9 teams.  the dog seems to be the play.  i lay off.  good luck.  cats could show up.

oh, milwaukee swept dallas last year.  and four of those road losses were without bogut.  oh, and small detail.  milwaukee swept dallas last year.  milwaukee covered at clippers.  and should've beat sacto but lost one of those home energy feel good comebacks.  were up 21 at half.

I'll keep that in mind. I really am at times biased with my favorite team. Same shit with my Panthers as well. LOL. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I really like the Bucks and may add them in the morning.
CrazyMilkMan says:

Adding:

Milwaukee Bucks +8.5

I think it may drop by a point by morning. It could lose its charm. So get it now.

It is difficult to bet on Charlotte - for me the team playing the most boring, dullest and most untalented basketball in NBA. Dont say that they might not win against Detroit Lame Ducks...but will not trust them.
Rakiztah says:

kobe is going for another 40pt performance and it will be easier doing it against the lowly cavs.

it seems he is going for some scoring record.

just a heads up.

I know man. He's pissed with ESPN ranking him only 7th. You know how his ego is. He's out to prove something alright but really man, the man will be more interested resting himself and dropping that 40 on the clips the next day.

Home teams.

Notice a how home team wins and cover from time and time and also getting the same short line.

76ers going up to -13.5 which is weird. Still looking out for news on Hawes' back. The most reason is this:

Spencer Hawes said that his back is "feeling better," but he is still listed as day-to-day.

Nah. I don't think it will be a huge factor. Cavs are almost a different team now. Mike Brown was coaching a Lebron James team then but now it's a bit different from how they were before.

I really don't see Kobe taking this game seriously. He could drop 20 but that would be on easy treys. I don't see him going hard like he did against the Grizzlies. He won't allow the Cavs to win but I don't see him forcing his shots. I really believe he is looking ahead to the Clippers tomorrow night.

Good night Milkman as it looks like a 6-3 night with Cleveland coming back in the second half.  Looks like we eclipsed the .500 mark and actually one game above!  Great night man and look forward to tomorrow's plays.
