CrazyMilkMan's NBA Tuesday

6-4 Monday. 70-67 YTD. That Lakers game was hella painful to watch. Tuesday:

Lean: Orlando Magic -12.0
On the road, the Cats allow a lot of 3-balls at 41% clip. They are also losing by an average of 17 (again, on the road) and by 10 in their last 5 games. With those said, they now look like sitting ducks against the Magic who beat the hell out of teams who play little defense. I made this a lean because the Magic might look ahead to hosting a stronger team and reserving their tanks for the Spurs the next day (their first b2b2b). Magic also have no problem playing back-to-back going 3-1 ATS so far to the Cats' 2-3 ATS. They did destroyed them by 21 earlier in the season and I think they can actually do it again.

Golden State Warriors ML
The 2-points or whatever amount you get them won't really matter so might as well go the ML route. The play is really against the Cavaliers off a long road trip and playing the next day at home. They also just have to exert so much effort in the second half against the Cats to get away with a win. The rested warriors should be able to edge the Cavaliers here.

Lean: San Antonio Spurs +7.5
This one is tricky. The points is just too enticing to pass up. Last season, they split the series 1-1 both in a blow out fashion. Two key players are out, Manu averages 16 and Wade by 24 against each other. Spurs are getting 5 in that road game against Miami so the 7.5 isn't much of a surprise. It will also be a huge test for them to finally get one on the road. Heat is facing a 3 game slide and you know they're the type who'll play hard to get over it. Spurs, on the other hand, have accepted the fact that there will be one too many games every night that you just have to let one go. Anyway, the play will be on the Spurs here because of the value of the line.

Denver Nuggets -2.5
I love this this spot for the Nuggets even though it looks like a trap line. Coach Karl talked about how to value each games right after they took a loss against the Jazz. Everyone thought that they could just go into motion after a huge win over the Heat then came the bad result. They will be on a long road trip and nothing is better than starting it with a win. The Bucks is also on a bad spot and has yet to win/cover on back-to-back games (currently 0-4).

Houston Rockets -7.5
Fading the Pistons. Houston plays well at home and has no problem on b2b games. Pistons blow on the road and will probably even lose and not cover against the Wolves the next day.

BOL.

Opposite you... I'm on the Caves... they have a pretty decent D this year, Warriors O not as explosive as the past couple years, plus Monta ailing, Curry doubtful plus they give up 100/gm on the road.... Caves finally home after a road trip will protect their house with a little umph in their step tomorrow night.... Also that UNDER 197.5 is looking real tasty... Caves 97-90....

Good Luck!

On the Rockets and Nuggets.

I'm surprised a bit with the line as well buti guess its because they looked "so bad" vs the Jazz.  I think the Jazz just played REALLY well.

A bit of a revenge angle for the Bucks who led Denver most of the way on the road a couple of weeks ago only to fade away in the final minutes. Undefeated at home so far as well. I'm high on the Nuggets this year, but not a particularly good spot tomorrow I don't think.

Monta ailing? whats up with ellis? I'm leaning on gsw as well.

Monta Ellis banged his surgically-repaired left knee during Sunday's game, but he stayed on the court despite the pain.
"It hurt," Ellis said. "It hurt bad. But we needed this win. Sucked it up and worry about it later." He should be fine for Tuesday's game in Cleveland, but of course we'll post an update if it becomes an issue. Jan 16 - 10:30 AM

Although seems like nothing.... the dude is not 100%... I'll gladly have him continue to shoot 6-26 night in night out.....

Warriors' Offense is not as impressive because Marc Jackson is forcing them to play defense which is really a good idea. Monta Ellis banged his knee but latest news says it's nothing to worry about. Curry won't be playing. Anyway, the only reason why I feel for the Warriors play is that the Cavs may be exhausted after the Cats game and that long road trip.

I agree. Its a tough call but its hard to pass up the nuggs at such small number against this bucks squad regardless if there 4-0 at home. Also the fact that 3 of those home games were against minnesota, washington, and detroit. The fourth one was in fact against the spurs but they havent faired to well on the road thus far this season going 1-11 ATS in their last 12 games. Either way its tough call but id rather put my money on the better team  especially when there coming off a loss. There gonna wanna come out with a win and ride that momentum into the next night where they play the red hot sixers.

I am against the Spurs however.  I know they're a good team, but Miami seems to have better position in this match-up.  Considering Miami has 3-days rest, and Spurs are 0-4 on the road.

imho I guess orl -12 is just right but not sure to if I could back them up since they might rest their stars sooner if they build a good lead since they might be looking ahead

im leaning on hou. hope to get out of the slump on this one.

Den seems like the play of the night. Cavs-GSW is a no touch, its completely 50-50..the heat will win but will they cover? im not sure. tonight schedule is a strange one, might take the night off. 'preservation of capital' my gambling friends.

Good luck Milkman.  I was going to play Cavs, but your reasoning kept me off them.  Thanks because I really didnt check out the scheduling much on that one, and I think you kept me off a bad play there.  Like the Rockets.  Any thoughts on the Jazz?  I have been riding the m since their slow start and they been really helping my bankroll.  As much as I hate betting against the Clip, I think I have to stay with the hot hand till it burns me, but I would like your opinion on that one if you got a chance.  Thanks in advance and keep up the good work man.

I was refering to it ATS-wise. Mil won against Minny but didnt cover. Lost to Utah as a 1-point fave. Lost to Phoenix as a 7-point road dog. Lost to Dallas as a 9-point road dog. That's 1-3 SU, 0-4 ATS.

bail8gent, Tuesday cards aren't really that impressive but the one play I love the most is the Clippers 1Q.

CrazyMilkMan says:

Full Cards for Tuesday: I decided to play the leans as well.

Orlando Magic -12.0
Golden State Warriors ML
San Antonio Spurs +7.5
Denver Nuggets -2.5
Houston Rockets -7.5

LA Clippers +1 1Q
LA Clippers +4.0

CrazyMilkMan says:
01/17/12 06:19PM

Yes sir! It's a go!

LA Clippers +1 (so might as well take the +105)

CrazyMilkMan says:

CP3 travelled with them. I think he will play. Anyway, the reason why the Jazz is getting so much success is because of the good performance of their front court. They are doing everything right. Sharing the ball, winning the rebound numbers and scoring at a high percentage. I think this should be a close game but I like the Clippers more if CP3 indeed played. Clips can cancel out the Jazz' front court with their own. Jordan and Griffin cancels out Milsap and AJ. Billups > Devin Harris and Caron pretty much cancels out Josh Howard. That leaves you with MoWilliams and say CP3 out there.

Los Angeles Clippers -4.0 is a go!

CrazyMilkMan says:
