That's two losing days in a row now. Hope we turn out fortunes
Charlotte Bobcats -1.5
Cats didn't get any win from the Wizards out of 4 tries last season. I saw 3 of them and it was mainly due to John Wall picking the defenses apart. I think he averaged somewhere like 12 assist in all of that. After a couple of roster changes, I think Wizards is a team the cats can beat at the moment. They are at home and are far better capable scoring and rebounding. Charlotte is also somehow keeping the ball well placing themselves 3 TO below the league average. Bench are just about even with a little edge for the Wizards since Crawford can go off any time. Scheduling is just about even, slight edge on the Cats to come out with a bit more energy since they're off a win and at home. I see a 94-88 type of win for the home team here.
NYK/Orl OVER 188.0
I was about to play the Knicks-6.5 first but decided the total is a little better. I see the Knicks dropping a lot of 3s against the Magic and beating them by come out with a lot of energy en route to somewhere past the century mark. Orlando shouldn't be too shabby. They are shooting near .500 at home and should enjoy running with the Knicks. I look at them as a team who'll try to keep on closing the gap regardless of the score count (it was pretty evident in their last 4 losses). I think they should be able to drop 80-90 here. Knicks will come out strong in the first quarter with the Magic forcing them to keep on running as they try to play catch up. Total should be within sight (or pretty near) 3-4 minutes left into the game. Hoping the home team give them fits as the road team open a quick 3 game road trip.
Indiana Pacers -9.5
This shouldn't even be a play not until the Raptors decided to keep on playing for 20+ more minutes against the Jazz. Pacers shouldn't warrant this big of a line since they tend to let up when they caught up or are in the lead. This is more of a play against the Raptors than on the Pacers. Toronto is average in terms of scoring but since they've maxed the starters where they are getting point last night, playing them for 50-60 minutes. Key bench in Amir Johnson ran for almost 40. Raptors take a 3-day off after playing their 3rd game in 4 night in Indiana. The sore and fatigue should be felt somewhere around the 2nd half (perhaps looking ahead to resting up) and hopefully it's when the Pacers pull away.
Honorable Mentions:
Cleveland Cavaliers +6.0 - They should cover this number.
Sacramento Kings -2.5 - Portland started out looking to be a good team but they're coming back down to earth with their past few results. Kings edges them even without Cousins until Aldridge decided to play his size.
San Antonio Spurs -1.0 - Last game of a 4-game stretch on the road against a rested team with a new coach. I think the Spurs still edges this one out. I bet Coach Pops hides the fountain of youth somewhere in San Antonio.
