Folks clearly I'm a Steeler Homer however, I do believe the Steelers
handle the Bengals this week. Actually, the Steelers handled the
Bengals the first time and handed it over late.
The strength
of the Bengal offense is their running game. Forget the hype about
Ocho and Palmer. They are now a physical team that runs for 1st
downs. They run for 130 yds/game. The Steeler defense is #1 against
the run. The addition of Troy Polamalu improves the Steeler defense
against the pass AND the run. A wild guess tells me Troy would have
been in the middle of that game winning pass in the end zone the last
time they played.
The Steeler offense is improved with the
emergence of an effective running game. Looks like the O-line is
vastly improving each week and is staying healthy. The holes
Mendenhall had to run in were 10 yards wide against Denver.
Game
is in Pittsburgh, it's for 1st place in the division, there is an
obvious revenge factor and who in their right minds believes the
Bungles will sweep the Steelers this year? Steelers typically regroup
very well off of a bye week(As evidenced against Denver) although their
first game back is usually rusty. They should be even better this
week. The Champs begin to focus on the stretch run to the playoffs.
