Too Many so called Experts and Fans Often
Under -Rate the Big Schools bc they don't have alot of returning starters ....

just a few examples ....

Penn St.  D Line
Just Reloading ... The Coaches(mainly Johnson)  will be working with another Group of Players with  Top 10 Talent

Georgia     RB
Yeah i Knowshon  Moreno is gone ....
Like Richt can't recruit RB's ???
/// The Dawgs most likely have 4+ Top backs waiting to run the rock ...

Oklahoma    O_Line
When was the last time The Sooners had a Bad O-Line ???  This Unit will roll over the BIG12....

USC
I Keep hearing how they lost everything !!!   ?????
Really  ????
I would Take the Trojans 3rd team units Over 85% of the Other 120 Schools 1st Units  ....

The List could go on and On ...

People will also Over Hype
Average or Below Average Teams if they have 8+ returning starters on either side of the ball

(SCHOOLS)  CANNOT CHEAT (as in directly pay someone)........think about it......if you are a coach.....or any representative of that university......that player NOW owns your ass (once you have offered to pay him to come to your school).......HOWEVER...... any school that competes on a national scale .......has tons of alumni that are loaded.....that "reward" those great recruits ......in various ways .......if smartly done cannot be stopped or proven.......> PROOF ?.......check out the parking lot of any big school.......studs drive crap cars ?.....if some / many do > that team either does not win ......or very unique

Returning starters -- nice to have, if they're good. But I appreciate your points, especially for programs like USC, Penn State, Georgia -- I think, at worst, we could say it's hard to handicap some of them. But you have to handicap dynamically, and give the coaches some credit when they've shown over many years they know how to reload.

I absolutely agree...went to their spring game and they are impressive.  Jack Crawford should be the real deal.  The end's will make your eyes open this year and I don't have to mention Odrick do I?

Work sucks but life is great...and sooner or later I'm going to start posting brother!

Returning QB is important, or at least one that got 100 attempts.  Some QBs are good from day 1 but most are not.

After that, I think RB, LT, and Center are important.

Some place you have to wait your turn, and it is not as important.

Other places, they play their best players regardless of year, so if you didn't start the year before you probably aren't as good as the guy who graduated.

One thing I don't like is when there is a Junior College guy coming in and starting.  That tells you that the position is very weak and JC guys rarely pan out.

If your returning starters are worse than the new talent it does not matter...
