Watching the Colorado/Phily game............
Seriously, MLB deserves what it gets by having playoff games this late in the year with cold weather cities participating. Ridiculous ...playing baseball in sub-zero temps...just a lousy looking product. Next year, I am rooting for a Colorado/Minnesota World Series. Twins move into their open air ballpark next season. That way MLB can move the games to California or Arizona to get them in above 35 degrees. The regular season needs to be shortened or more true doubleheaders played to get the post-seaon over by mid-October. Baseball has no business being played after Oct 15th. But the owners/players/union are such greedy bastards that common sense will not prevail.

Broke even last night. Seattle tied the game late to force extras, takes the lead only to give it up. Once Putz came in the game I thought I was home free. Stepping out tonight to try to make some headway. All favs, so that makes nervous:
Atl -125: Wanted to take the dog here with the pitcher with better stats to date. Decided to go with Hudson thinking Volquez is in for a let-down. Hudson is 2-0 at home.
Ariz -125: This was an easier choice. Maine on the road (+5 era)has been iffy and D'backs can put up runs.....hitting .300 at home.
Stl -115: Taking the home cooking with the Cards. Wainwright should keep his team in the game if he bullpen can do its job. Cubs are only 6-5 on the road.
NYY -1.5 +160: Wang is consistenly good despite an era +5 at home. Bedard is due for a bad outing and I'm betting tonight is it. Taking RL as Mariners having trouble getting runs lf late.
Det -1.5 +110: Tigers have hit thier stride. Livan threw up lollypops last time out vs Texas and I think Detroit is all over him early and often. Gallaraga has been impressive so far.
GL to all and comments are always welcome.
